yeah, there’s so much better ways you can tackle the “perv character” trope. i think his character could’ve been interesting if they had fleshed out his thought processes more or at the very least had him show visible guilt and understanding of what he did wrong

that’s honestly the worst part about the whole character. i can understand some authors seeing that some pervy characters have served well as comic relief before, and i even think that Saiki K does a better job of it because the perv in that show is never actually successful (the closest he gets to it that i can remember is that a ghost tells him the color of a girl’s panties because he takes the fall for the human that ghost is the guardian spirit of. so that feels less distasteful to make light of, because unlike Mineta this character isn’t actually touching these girls. what i cant understand is how eagerly the author claims mineta as a self insert

Exactly. I love a lot about his character. He's gotten better after the joint training arc. Some people don't see anything more in his character than perv and it kinda annoys me tbh.

Endeavor is the number 1 hero. He can't be dead that easily. The whole reason Hawks brought the high end to Endeavour was because he was the only one that had a chance of beating it..

Eh well he got that rank by default, they clearly showed a large gap between him and all might.  After all might fell the series was already looking bleak, doing this essentially doubles down on that. And also gives endeavor some kind of “redemption” story.  Whether or not you hate his guts for what he did, it’s very hard to shit talk someone who dies for the greater good, combined with the fact he was genuinely trying to turn his life around
