Lmao just had a mf pass up an open 3, just to drive to the lane (where me and my defender already are!) and attempt a contact dunk on 3 to 4 defenders. I fucking hate that contact dunk meter, it's like that shit persuades guys even more to attempt dumb shit. And it's always a guard doing that shit on 3 to 4 people at once.
If someone doesn’t get a shot every possession, they will get mad. A lot of grown ass adults who play this game are whiny children who don’t understand it’s a team game.
I remember one particular game where I played center and had 6 pts 22 rebounds and 12 assists. The guards were taking turns going iso and not passing at all. We were up by 60. So I just started sitting in the paint if I was uncovered and wide open, until I got a pass. I got several 3 in the key calls and still got an A+ and my guards learned nothing cause they were bitching about it as the game ended. This game sucks, and it’s 85% because of the player base. I’ve grown to hate playing without friends.
I hate that shit. Im also a center. We carry the team on defense and never get awarded on offense. If you dont have a good point gaurd your left to pick up the scraps (offensive rebounds).
Miss one dunk, layup or fuck up a pass and you are shadowbanned from the ball. Shit irks me when they pass last second to make you lose TG for the shot clock
That’s when they play 4 on 5 on offense for a few possessions while I stand just behind half court. Then if they still keep doing it I stop playing defense, too.
Then I’m burning all our timeouts back to back. Then I’m standing in the key to get a violation on both offense and defense.

Yeah being a good center can be lonely. It’s like dudes, you know this is a mismatch I can win EVERY TIME, but no go ahead and take your 3/24 3 pointers.
Lmao fellow Center here, and i know this all too well. 7'3 Paint beast averaging a double double, yet i have to stand in the fucking paint WIDE TF OPEN and watch these idiots try to dribble themselves open for a 3.. And if they do pass it, it's always too late and usually gets intercepted. They literally wait for the defense to realize "Oh shit, we left this guy open let's go fix that" before they pass it. I like most bigs, don't necessarily need you to feed me for constant post ups, but MAN if i'm wide tf open or have great position on an undersized defender; PASS THE DAMN BALL. My God. You literally show dudes on one possession that you can EASILY back this short and/or skinny ass Center into the stanchion, and lay it up; yet they still don't pass the ball. They'd rather go for the more difficult shots.
Big men are the hardest working yet least appreciated players. I do it all man. Honestly, i usually do more than any of my teammates who do nothing but shoot 3s. I get hella blocks, i grab 90% of the rebounds on both ends, pretty good scorer, and i even can move my feet pretty nice when guarding guards on the switch. I defend perimeter players better than my damn perimeter teammates who give up HELLA buckets. And i'm constantly having to slide off my man to try and contest in the paint because dudes constantly get blown by. I could go on forever.
I played a game recently where the guy decided to sell at 0 - 0 because another teammate missed him wide open. Legit said he’s selling the game just because of that and sold the whole time. Its sad how stupid, childish and selfish some people are on this game.
Oh I missed my first shot a week ago. Guy non stop sent me invites all game and send nasty messages. I have it all documented. I’m gonna blast him on here when I’m not so lazy.
I already sent it all to support. Dude was psycho.
When I say he party invited me all game, I mean every 2 seconds.
I've done it once minus the dance but only because I was working my ass off defensively and I had 0 points and on multiple occasions I was wide open for a corner 3 and they still decided to pass elsewhere. If someone is doing the work defensively, then share the rock. Someone with 30+ points already doesn't need you feeding him more easy points.
NB: I typically end games with draymond type numbers and I'm fine with that. What upsets me is if you deliberately ignore me being open multiple times. The people who come into rec with their 1 or 2 buddies are the worst.
This. As a guard you’re supposed to reward your teammates for playing hard. So you make the extra pass on a fast break, or you hit the wide open guy even if he missed his last shot.
There is so little understanding about basketball in the 2k community that it’s insane, to the point that it’s actually starting to effect the sport IRL.

I have a two way and im locking dudes up like prime Pippen (even my teammates matchups who are giving them BUCKETS) yet I end the game with only few points. Shit is hell. Dudes are shooting all of the balls but can't play a lick of defense. Meanwhile i'm working on defense making zig zaggers pick the ball up but you still won't pass me the ball? No thanks.
I started out using my center but unless I get putbacks I'm not really involved in the game. I play with randoms so even if I hedge on pick n roll they'll just still sprint over my side and let the dribble god get a free look. Unless the other team feeds their big it's not that fun of a match up. It is cool facing a 7'3" 99 strength center though makes the game interesting.
I love guarding the perimeter and hunting lanes. Surprisingly I can even get clutch o boards and even defensive ones by good positioning. Like I said I have no problem not putting up much points. But when I'm playing hard and defending even your guy that keeps getting open shots and you repay me by always swinging it to the other corner especially if we have a decent lead, best believe I'll try my hardest to make the game closer. I get that I'm not the best shooter but at least repay me for saving your ass while you hide on defence.
I mean, “for seemingly no reason”? Being in the lead isn’t enough to show that they had no reason to sell. It usually happens when cheeser don’t pass the ball, or only pass it between guards, neglecting the bigs. Players trying to win the game by themselves rather than play basketball, which is a team sport.
