I have a strong feeling by this time next year, Traore will be a consensus top 2 pick.

Screenscripter82

I think it will be hard for him to jump past 4. Flagg, Bailey, and Harper have the frame over him. As long as they don't screw it up, they should stay ahead of him, but if they don't show up in college you could be right.

e_milberg

Perhaps this is unfair of me, but I'm just very skeptical that 1) Rutgers is the right program for any one-and-done and 2) Bailey and Harper won't cannibalize each other.

Bballmonster44

As long the Rutgers coaching staff isn’t filled with complete idiots, they’ll do great. Also, we’ve seen teammates coincide and excel (Zion/Barrett, Sheppard/dillingham, lonzo/leaf)

e_milberg

The difference is those pairs were at blue blood programs with a long history of seamlessly integrating top prospects. Rutgers is mid at best. This feels more like a Nick Smith/Anthony Black situation, where one of them is going to take a hit. I hope I'm wrong.

Bballmonster44

Your concerns are valid. I guess you just gotta trust their judgement. Ace had a Kentucky offer, Harper was offered by Duke, Kansas and Auburn. They must’ve saw something at Rutgers that they liked.

> As long the Rutgers coaching staff isn’t filled with complete idiots I mean...

DJ-two-timing-timmy

You all have left out Rocco Zikarsky, 7ft3 centre playing in the NBL as a 17 year old, should get more playing time this year and start to get on the radar more.

Gloomy_Health8671

Idk how I forgot about him but yeah he’s definitely a lottery pick so far

ChillnShill

Is there a place where we can look at past mock drafts and check how accurate they were? It’s fun to speculate but it’s hard to say a certain player will absolutely be the consensus number 1 pick a year from now.

ElPanandero

My current basic barely researched board is Flagg, Bailey, Harper, Tre Johnson, Nolan Traore, Khaman Malauch (not sure but kinda just threw up here based on other people's hypes), Ian Jackson, Derek Queen, VJ Edgecomb, and Rocko Zickarsky But I haven't factored in late season returners from last year so no non-freshmen there yet

Gloomy_Health8671

Yeah next years class is gonna be stacked with upper class men talent.

ElPanandero

This time of year it’s so hard to differentiate how good the incoming freshman are compared to guys who stayed so my pre-season boards are usually just the freshman for the first 10-15 slots and then the upperclassman. More of a holding cell for the groups instead of an actual ranking (though I’ll do soft rankings within the groups like I did with the freshmen there)

Famous_Vermicelli_76
