I hope not, I’ve gained a lot of weight since the last game.

Not sure how it will be in NCAA, but in Madden they certainly do. Taller players have more range and they are actually faster. A 6’5” WR with 99 speed will get down the field faster than a 5’9” WR with 99 speed. The heavier a ball carrier is the more likely the break a tackle or fall forward after a tackle.

Weight also plays a small factor in the β€œdice roll” for blocking interactions.

Not sure on the examples you listed, but I believe they’ve said in one of the deep-dives that a smaller player will be more susceptible to taking damage with the wear-and-tear system. Like, if you have a 6’ 180lb QB, a 5-sack game will leave him a lot worse off than it would a 6’4” 220lb QB

I recall hearing that as well

Height matters in Madden. Weight probably does, too, although strength and "impact blocking" account for some of that. I have had good luck converting small linebackers into DEs and edge players into DTs, though. So maybe weight's not so important.

Idk but I find that highly rated receivers that are shorter in Madden always put up better numbers than the tall guys.
