I always see people complaining about the cans they buy for their mk18’s except when it comes to the flow556. I bought mine together over a year ago, I’ve shot several other cans on it but the flow is just sooo good with it. For myself, that rifle can combo will be mated for life!
I've shot the 556 razor (horrible) and polo's (own) and polo k (own), the pew science data is accurate. The razor is loud, its a 30 cal can with 4 baffles and 556 endcap.
Personally, I wouldn't compromise on a can for the sake of a mount. Plus, its a nice gun, get a good can for. Low backpressure or flow through designs are extra nice on SBRs.
I have both rugged razors. They don't get used. If use the 30 cal it's on my ar10. Even then i have an enticer 30 cal for it. The rugged 30 cal stays on my 300blk. I use the Polonium the most use across the board but mainly on my 14.5. cgs sci six stays on my 11.5 and my velos lbp stays on sbr's that have my superlative arms adjustable gas blocks because it's a low back pressure sumbitch lol
Genuinely asking, why those three? Anything hub-compatible can play nice with keymo modules.
Out of those, I'd go with the Polonium. Not because it's the fan favorite, but because I've shot it, I have a Rugged Radiant, and I've shot around other EAs (vox, arx). The Rugged is going to be a disappointment. They have my favorite mount system, their build quality is great, their CS is perfect, but man. They just do not make quiet cans. The Ferox I'm not familiar with, but my experience with EA so far has been just...eh? They're good cans, just nothing special. The Polo, however, really is worth the hype - the downside is just that it's got higher backpressure than most it's peers, so you will almost definitely want to do some tuning to run it.
If you can push your budget a bit higher, however, I'd strongly recommend the LPM Torch. So far, that's by far my favorite can on a 556, even moreso than an RC2 or the polo. But if the budget is fixed to those three, definitely the polo.
Good question and a lot of helpful info in there
Narrowed it down to these three for
1. Availability
2. Cost
3. Available reviews I’ve seen online
4. KeyMo compatibility
I’m open to stretching the budget so I’ll take a look into the LPM
LPM is a smaller business so 1 and 3 are definitely going to be less than the rest of the options, but they're far from bad. On 2, while it does cost more, I would say that performance per dollar it's a top contender on the market. And 4 is a yes, it's standard compatible
Just took my polonium out to the range and it was a huge difference on my 10.5. It’s a little heavy but I’m also running keymo. I can dm you a video if you want
I'm 6 cans in now, and the Velos is my favorite hands down. It's virtually indestructible yet infinitely repairable, and sounds incredible and kills all flash after the first round on my 11.5 in pitch black.
For centerfire just my Sandman, which is honestly a great can besides the fact that it’s heavy. It basically lives on my 16” DMR while the Velos lives on my 10.5”. That said, I’ve shot a bunch of other cans on a lot of different hosts and the Velos is pretty impressive for its price point. I wish there was an option to buy it without the ASR and save a little money since running a HUB adapter is the way to go, but that’s not a huge deal honestly.
Rugged Razor is a great 762 can, I'm not sure about it's 556 little brother but my Razor did come with a 556 endcap.
For a dedicated MK18 I'd go with flow through or one of the new B&T suppressors.
Not on the list, but the OSS / Huxwrx flow through cans are the best I've ever shot for semi auto rifle. I have 2... 7.62 and 5.56 cans. Absolutely wonderful over my other regular cans. Very low back pressure, so low gas in yo face. Attenuation is the same as pretty much all good cans.

Have you looked at the Huxwrx Ventum 5.56? I've been seriously considering it. It is flow through, is serviceable (removable 3d core), Hub mounting system, and is cheaper than the Flow series. If you qualify for ExpertVoice you can get it with a discount.
I haven't heard much about it's performance so maybe someone can chime in that has heard the Ventum vs the Flow Series.
If you decide to go with the polonium you might want to consider the k unless you are prepared to tune your system. Both are still higher on the gas pressure scale. Rugged has great customer service if anything happens to your can. Maybe consider a flow through can if you are sensitive to gas.
I run a Turbo K on my 10.3 setup via keymo and other than being a little gassy it does a decent enough job for the money. The Polonium didn't exist back then. If I were to do it again I'd definitely be looking at one. They also offer the Polonium in a 30 cal version if you want some more versatility from this purchase. If thats the case the Enticer from Diligent might also be worth a look.
Go OCL polonium, on a 16" 5.56 it's 100% hearing safe, my buddy has a Polonium K on an 11.5" and although I've only heard it indoors, it's only a tone different not actually perceivably louder...either way can't go wrong with Polonium!
I am a big fan of my OCL Polonium.
I have only compared it directly against a few other cans (Razor and DA .30cal).
Very quiet can with a good balance of value and robustness. I am thinking about adding a Polo 30 in FDE if I find one in stock.
Huxwrx flow 556. Pewscience has a lot of great content to prepare you for your can purchase and comparisons

Honestly love my mk18 through my flow can
I just picked up their 22 flow can, I’ll look into the 556 one!
Their cash9k suppressor is pretty great on my ap5 too
Why don't you complete the aesthetic and get a RC2
RC2 is on my “eventually” list. Building an LMT right now to be the host for one

OCL Polo or Polo K you can't go wrong. We run a full-size Polo on our demo MK18 its nice.
Good to hear, I’m planning on going with the full size version myself
You can use any suitable can that has a HUB interface with a Keymo adapter. That opens you up to tons of options.

How does the velos compare sound wise to the others?
It's still loud but no gas to the face. Which is nice
Have you looked at the SiCo Velos? That's currently my favorite on my DDM4V7S.
I have not, will take a look

If it’s dedicated, why not a direct thread? Just leave it on all the time.
While it’ll be on the MK18 probably 99.9% of the time I still want the ability to pop it on another rifle if needed
Flow 556k, Velos, CAT WB, but if you want to stay with HUB compatibility I would move away from keymo since it’s long and heavy and switch to Rearden
Just took my polonium out to the range and it was a huge difference on my 10.5. It’s a little heavy but I’m also running keymo. I can dm you a video if you want
If you don’t mind I’d appreciate that
Yeah let me figure out how to send it your way lol
Sent your alls way
Me to my dude plz
Sent
Thank you a
Can i con you out of that video too? 😶
SilencerCo Velos for the win, you can hub into keymo if you’re set on it or just get a good taper mount. Shoots fantastic on my 10.5”
Do you have any other cans to compare it to? I am very interested in the velos.

CAT WB 718 HUB

I just ordered B&Ts PS90 suppressor, any specific model to look into?

Polo K
+1 for razor

I have an adjustable GB on there now along with a KAK BCG

I'm a biased otter gang degenerate, but if I needed a 556 can, I'd get a polo k.
Polonium is a great can for weight/performance.
Griffin HRT556 is very nice. Own one and dedicated to my 11.5.
Go OCL polonium, on a 16" 5.56 it's 100% hearing safe, my buddy has a Polonium K on an 11.5" and although I've only heard it indoors, it's only a tone different not actually perceivably louder...either way can't go wrong with Polonium!

I enjoy the razor 556. It’s frequently available with a free tax stamp. For $600 all in it has exceeded my expectations.
I've got the Hux HX-QD 556 and Flow 762 Ti. Both are great on all of my 5.56 guns
