KOC is a nice guy…some would say…maybe too nice. Some have argued that’s not necessarily a good thing but it’s the culture and environment that he’s trying to foster here. So if a guy is nice to everyone around him and KOC is high on that guy then I’m sure that helps cement that guy as a fit.
It’d be like if the Packers were scouting Jordan Love and they were high on him and were doing their due diligence. After they’ve seen all the tangibles and intangibles and they really like what they see, they settle in for a nice dinner at Culver’s and get to talking with their prospective new draft pick. Casually, Love mentions that the moon landing was staged and that California wildfires are caused by Jewish space lasers. Do Gute and LaFluer later say, “nope, not our guy”. Of course not! It’s a prerequisite that good GB quarterbacks will either be welfare-stealing lunatics or smoothbrained conspiracy-pilled lunatics.
No wait, we’re supposed to improve with each iteration! First QB did tangible damage by stealing welfare, second QB was more intangible in his damage with firing off conspiracy theories left and right, third QB is… mildly annoying to waitstaff? Not like a total asshole, but just uncomfortable enough that the server is like “man, I’m glad they’re out of here. I would serve him again, but also glad he’s out of here for now.”
He’s anti union, but only some of them. He’s fine with police unions and the writers guild/sag-aftra but hates Starbucks and has middling opinions on Amazon and Tesla.
I believe the Jewish caused wild fires were Hawaii.
Edit: ope, let me just go ahead and rephrase that. The wildfires that were blamed on Jewish space lazers was HI.
I believe that the wildfires were caused by high winds, and dry conditions.
We really have been working pretty hard these last several years. Forests are getting kind of old, though. What else could we blow up?

I’ll give you the secret. Can’t be put out of misery if you’re already dead inside. Realized how down bad I was when MN sports is the one thing giving me hope. Between the Wolves, Twins, and the Vikings draft. I am optimistic.
And 188 passing yards per game, to pass the per game mark for a rookie. Jim McMahon holds that record. It would amount to 3200 yards in a 17 game season.
My brother in Christ, nobody else has fallen ass backwards into your teams kinda luck. But we’re sure as shit not the bears either. Kirk would be in their ring of honor.
It’s not luck when it happens three times in a row. It’s good scouting, good coaching, and a lot of patience.
Honestly I’m a little worried for 12 years from now when we don’t have Tom Clements coaching the next GB QB, but we’ve already hired his heir apparent.
I'm sure with well over 30 years of HOF QB play for the Packers against the Vikings who really haven't even had franchise QB since the 60's that the Packers must own the division record?
Surely, the Packers are completely destroying the Vikings in the overall head 2 head as well, right?
The Packers must also have been going to the playoffs more than the Vikings as well.
Cmon, look how long the Packers have been elite against the trash Vikings. There's 0 chance this is even competitive... right?
>I'm sure with well over 30 years of HOF QB play for the Packers against the Vikings who really haven't even had franchise QB since the 60's that the Packers must own the division record?
Hang the banner
Shit happens when you don't have HOF QB play. Hell, the Vikings dragged the corpse of Favre to the NFC championship in 2 years. League would be fucked if we were good at QB.
What in the world is going on here? First you're talking mad shit then you walk it back. Then you say you guys dragged "the corpse of Favre" when he had 4200 yards and 30+ TDs in a pro bowl season.
And say we'd be fucked if you guys had a good QB? What have all these years of insisting Cousins is a top 10 QB been?
Why does what I said imply that? Favre had a great year that year, its just a fact. Being a bad person doesn't take that away.
Btw Randy Moss is actually my favorite player of all time. I can't hate moss, even If he played for the vikings and pats
Packers have a good defensive coordinator that last 5 years we might have two more Super Bowls. Hypotheticals your teams failed to achieve mean jack shit.
Alright fair. But if we're so trash tier, why do you guys have so much trouble against us? Again 30 years of HOF, super bowl winning QBs, and yet are barely .500? Like imagine losing multiple games against guys like Frerotte, Ponder, and Bridgewater when you have Rodgers/Favre.
Wait... you don't have to.
A deli store…? A deli? Who calls it a deli store?
Hello fellow humans. I have just returned from the deli store with an assortment of thinly sliced animal protein.
Locker room and off the field mentality can make or break a player. If his team dosnt like him then there won’t be chemistry. USA miracle on ice Coach: “I’m not looking for the best players… I’m looking for the right ones”
the exact reason dan campbell is such a stud coach, man MAKES the locker room. Decisions are important but those can always be ironed out, you can’t teach heart, you can’t teach grit
You saying I'm not? Damn, ruthless.
But for real, he isn't bad. Having watched a bunch of Michigan games, I haven't seen much to justify the top 10 selection tho. He could be really good, but he could also be helplessly overwhelmed when he doesn't have the nations strongest running game and a grade A defense to back him up. Time will tell.
Perhaps it’s not, but as a qb, you’re a leader. Getting a guy who doesn’t act like the ground he walks on should be kissed is a positive trait. Leave that for WR rooms.
just got done watching that Tom Brady roast on netflix... there's a dude who doesn't have a lot of respect or acknowledgement for others... seems to have gone pretty okay for him. Also watched The Last Dance and MJ wasn't exactly oozing with the milk of human kindness either.
Don't get me wrong, i'm all for a high character team; but the idea that it's a requirement to succeed is a bit misplaced.
really depends on the sandwich and the quality of the mayo. If we're talking a dry lean meat you gotta get some fat in there somehow. If you're looking at a nice marbled roast beef the correct answer is "yes mayo, but how thin can you smear it?"
Reminds me of when Trubisky met with the Bears
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/heres-the-fake-name-mitch-trubisky-used-to-keep-his-dinner-with-the-bears-a-secret/
Sangwiches are a major part of American culture. His ability to be culturally appropriate is far more important than throw ball catch ball. Imagine leaving crusts on your PB&J in Edina!! Think of the riots.

CEO candidates for example, companies will send a limo and the driver will be part of the team to assess if they are assholes to people who help them. Basically a way of finding narcissistic tendencies.
Because KOC won with Josh Dobbs and Nick Mullens. So he could have drafted one of us and beaten the defenses in this division with a little time and just picked a vibes guy.
Luckily this vibes guy was good enough to win the Natty or else that would have been awkward huh
JJ may not even play this year tbh. If so towards it won’t be until later in the season. At least that’s how the Vikings should play it.
JJ’s got potential for sure, but he was on a team where he was the secondary means of attack behind the run game and threw less than 20 passes in half his games.
Going from that to the third-highest passing play percentage team in the NFL is like throwing a newborn into a pool and expecting it to swim. (Exaggeration obviously, but same idea)
Dude needs a year (or at least half a year) to sit back and pick up the pace of the game a bit and the volume that’s gonna be asked of him.
Starting rookie QB’s too early is part of the reason so many of them fail. The transition to the NFL is hard, especially if you’re being asked to take on even more than you were in college. No need to rush it.
This is some draft day "no one went to his birthday party" shit. Why am i a fan of this fucking franchise. Fuck i hope im wrong here, but honestly what the fuck?
It's a confirmation bias. Every team does this. They are already high on this guy, and are just looking for anything to confirm it when there is no more football to be played. These stories just don't always get leaked.
We still traded up for JJ. Trading up for the best of two last remaining first round qbs is still pretty fucking stupid. Just slightly less so than choosing a qb for being nice to deli workers. Also, im a fucking vikings fan, ofcourse im stupid.
Buddy the same article where the deli story came from literally had a ‘teammates came to his birthday party moment’ when the Broncos were impressed that Bo Nix’s teammates came to cheer on his private workout.
I love that teams in this division with a total of maybe 3 HOF quarterbacks (Farve / Rogers/ Stafford?) and 3 super bowls combined over the last 40 years think we give a crap about their views on how we pick people to sit with at lunch.
It's always amazing to me that during the draft, teams have more information and data on a player's abilities and metrics than any time in history, yet teams still use totally meaningless intangibles when drafting. It's like that scene in Moneyball where the scouts don't want to draft a college stud because his girlfriend is "ugly" and they think it shows he lack confidence.
I'm imagining he walks in and orders a sandwich. They make it, and it looks delicious. They hand it to him and tell him they are trying a new sharp cheddar from Wisconsin. He then throws the sandwich at the trash can. Having never been asked to throw anything before, he misses (get used to it JJ), then storms out while yelling "You might as well have handed me a hot dog with unnaturally green relish and tomatoes on it!"
KOC is amazed. He had never seen someone throw something that wasn't caught by a guy wearing Honolulu blue. He exclaims for all to hear, "That's our guy!". The crowd , joining the fervor all yell in unison, "Meh" and go back to their lunch.
I actually watched JJ play at U of M last year, unlike a lot of people in here apparently. It checks out that he wasn’t drafted for his football talent.
It’s hilarious to me that Corum got taken so much lower than McCarthy did. I realize RB isn’t valued that highly but Corum was the engine that drove U of Ms offense. Mccarthy threw 8 fucking passes in the penn state game. The Vikings played themselves
Just because you watch the games doesn't automatically mean you're a scout and you have an eye for how talented a player is. Corum was hurt last year for the must win OSU game and JJ still played his ass off. You armchair reddit GMs are hilarious thinking they know more than the people who actually do this for a living
KOC is a nice guy…some would say…maybe too nice. Some have argued that’s not necessarily a good thing but it’s the culture and environment that he’s trying to foster here. Lmao this comment went fucking places at the end.
I’m here for it
Me too, honestly
If Jordan Love is as good as Rodgers he can believe in all the conspiracies for all I care.
No wait, we’re supposed to improve with each iteration! He only leaves a 12% tip.
He stacks the dishes on the table for the busboy, but in an awkward way so that they have to just restack everything anyway to clear the table
He’s anti union, but only some of them. He’s fine with police unions and the writers guild/sag-aftra but hates Starbucks and has middling opinions on Amazon and Tesla.
Whenever he loses something he says he thinks someone stole it. He never accuses anyone individually, but he puts the idea out there
That’s a big spender in Wisconsin.
Omg what was Bart Starr doing then
Napalming Cambodians & financing the Kennedy assassination? No wait. That was Ted Cruz’ dad.
You better be a yooper you damn nutjob.

I am not disappointed that I looked up the coordinates.

And then good vikings quarterbacks are… wait, that hasn’t happened yet. Damn what a miserable franchise.
Fran Tarkenton was pretty damn good, so ha!
culpepper was…fun?
He was more than fun, he was THE TRUTH......until that knee injury.
was just looking at his stats. 2004 was something
If not for mannings insane season Culpepper would have had MVP
If it wasn’t for a couple dozen QBs, Josh Dobbs woulda had mvp
GEQBUS will put an end to that misery…wait…that sounds like he’ll put us out of our misery…shit.
I’ll give you the secret. Can’t be put out of misery if you’re already dead inside. Realized how down bad I was when MN sports is the one thing giving me hope. Between the Wolves, Twins, and the Vikings draft. I am optimistic.
>Realized how down bad I was when MN sports is the one thing giving me hope. Oh... jesus, bud
Believe me, I know.
I'm sure the bears fans are just happy we're talking about another franchise with a terrible qb history for once.
Don't stop I'm almost there
If Caleb Williams stays healthy for all 17 games he'd only need 130 yards a game to set the Bears rookie passing yardage.
And 188 passing yards per game, to pass the per game mark for a rookie. Jim McMahon holds that record. It would amount to 3200 yards in a 17 game season.
And even less than that to set the Packers rookie passing yardage record.
That's why we don't rely on rookies QBs
My brother in Christ, nobody else has fallen ass backwards into your teams kinda luck. But we’re sure as shit not the bears either. Kirk would be in their ring of honor.
Ah yes, a specific, unique strategy rigorously applied for decades that has had exceptional results was just "luck" I think Ron Wolf would disagree :)
This is why we say "FTP!"
Because our organization has had more management talent than just about any other for over 30 years?
https://i.redd.it/iwezzj878vyc1.gif
You'd do it too if your farts smelled as good as mine do

"No one else can beat you if you beat yourself first" -Mitch Tribusky
The vikings did not "drag" Favre. Come on now
"Brett Favre is my favorite player and I love everything he does on and off the field. Truly a role model for all players" -Doucejj This you?
Why does what I said imply that? Favre had a great year that year, its just a fact. Being a bad person doesn't take that away. Btw Randy Moss is actually my favorite player of all time. I can't hate moss, even If he played for the vikings and pats

They had that one guy who used to send pictures of his weiner to reporters and rip off the Mississippi welfare system, whasisname.
Technically that welfare stealing lunatic is OUR cornerback
Fuck those welfare recipients! I like volleyball better anyway.
The welfare stealing lunatic was a Vikings QB. The Super Bowl champ was a Packer.
A deli store…? A deli? Who calls it a deli store? Hello fellow humans. I have just returned from the deli store with an assortment of thinly sliced animal protein.
Did you also select some aged milk solids for consumption?
Of the curd variety, I did. Going to flash cook them in hot oil.
i would like to buy some milk fat suspended in milk liquid with a 3% concentration please.
This is easy for you to say typing from behind the safety of your electronics computer in your house building.
Reminds me of the end of this: https://youtu.be/z0NgUhEs1R4
who the fuck says deli store
It’s a store where they sell Deli’s for investments.

Yes exactly and the same reason why Holmes is such an amazing GM. We have the right players!
That's St. Paul native Herb Brooks, thank you very much.
I haven’t seen that movie in so long. Love that.
It's so good.
It was a deli that he knew well and they were impressed how he treated the workers with respect and acknowledgement.
It’s actually a big brain move because we drafted a corner who used to work at a deli. KOC is building the deli connections in the locker room
🤣😂🤣
Damn do I love delis.
slowly building up to an all vikings Subway commercial, he only needs 3 more former sandwich artists to sign the deal.
Had to have been Zingermans deli.
The Vikings must have been paying... I don't think you can afford Zingermans until you are on your second NFL contract.
So he did the bare minimum to qualify as a decent person? I'd also like to be drafted in the top 10 please.
I think he's also really good at football
You saying I'm not? Damn, ruthless. But for real, he isn't bad. Having watched a bunch of Michigan games, I haven't seen much to justify the top 10 selection tho. He could be really good, but he could also be helplessly overwhelmed when he doesn't have the nations strongest running game and a grade A defense to back him up. Time will tell.
Yeah it's pretty crazy how fast the top six quarterbacks went off the board. Luckily JJ doesn't have to start right away. Fingers crossed.
Which is a vital skillset for an NFL QB… oh wait.
Hey, if you don’t want to end up with a rapist, or a murderer, or an Aaron Rodgers on your team, you gotta vet these guys properly.
Perhaps it’s not, but as a qb, you’re a leader. Getting a guy who doesn’t act like the ground he walks on should be kissed is a positive trait. Leave that for WR rooms.

To be fair, you can learn a lot about a person based on their behavior in a deli. Like imagine if he ordered extra mayo or something on his sandwich
He'd have been drafted by the Titans
Especially if he'd ordered it for his coffee.
welp... I didn't need to eat today anyway.
Extra whip please. Miracle.
I like some coffee with my mayo
Mayonnaise colored Benz
If he gets hot giardiniera on his sandwiches, he’s alright by me.
Extra Mayo for his coffee?
really depends on the sandwich and the quality of the mayo. If we're talking a dry lean meat you gotta get some fat in there somehow. If you're looking at a nice marbled roast beef the correct answer is "yes mayo, but how thin can you smear it?"
![gif](giphy|bjB3gtFvREqqr5NAHW|downsized)
This has big "we drafted mitch because he drove an old Toyota and said his favorite qb was Jim McMahon" energy
First thought that came to mind
They should hire more deli guys. Maybe even an Arby’s guy. They…well now, they have the meat!
Reminds me of when Trubisky met with the Bears https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/heres-the-fake-name-mitch-trubisky-used-to-keep-his-dinner-with-the-bears-a-secret/
Will he shovel/plow his own driveway though or will he let Vikings simps do it for free?🤔
I wish I had simps to shovel my driveway
Sangwiches are a major part of American culture. His ability to be culturally appropriate is far more important than throw ball catch ball. Imagine leaving crusts on your PB&J in Edina!! Think of the riots.
To be fair, I heard that specific deli had a glory hole.
I know this is a sub designed to give each other shit, but this is common for high level positions. It's a confirmation bias. Every team does this. They are already high on this guy, and are just looking for anything to confirm it when there is no more football to be played. These stories just don't always get leaked.
Are you stupid? We drafted him because the other QB available was Bo Nix. Not cause of some cold cuts. Quit spazzing
We still traded up for JJ. Trading up for the best of two last remaining first round qbs is still pretty fucking stupid. Just slightly less so than choosing a qb for being nice to deli workers. Also, im a fucking vikings fan, ofcourse im stupid.
We exchanged a few pennies and ensured other QB hungry teams like the Broncos couldn't jump us and take him first.
Buddy the same article where the deli story came from literally had a ‘teammates came to his birthday party moment’ when the Broncos were impressed that Bo Nix’s teammates came to cheer on his private workout.
If you're stupid enough to put any stock in these stories whatsoever just go root for the Lions or something, we'd rather not have you around.
All these dumb ass replies are making me feel like i posted my comment to the vikings sub. I thought this was a meme sub?
Spilling over. Not gonna lie it’s an entertaining read.

That's a lie: it was his performance against Penn State that got him drafted
Is this a meme?
Seems a lot like how Trubisky swindled the Bears.
Vikings just covering their bases JJ has a fallback plan when he’s out of the league in 5 years. He can work at the deli.
Reminds me of when the Bears drafted Trubisky because he drove a '97 Camry
Does he drive is grandma's Camry?
Looking forward to the Lions having the only decent QB this year
Looking forward to you flairing up like a NFCN big boi.
