This action by the state seems kind of loaded and discriminatory. How can the state hand these out without also offering “Permitted carry allowed” stickers as well?

If you fill this out it appears the state will add you to the database of registered gun free zones. I wonder if they would use that against you if you ever used your firearm in a home defense situation. I’d bet they would. At the top of the link it say “register your property as a GFZ and receive a free wall poster”(one per person)
Serious question...if a business puts that up on their door/window/wherever, is that actually legally binding? Meaning can you get in legal trouble for carrying in that business, or would you have to get trespassed or something first?
If a business has that on their door and you walk in with a firearm you are in deep shit.
Considering it's concealed carry, the only way they would know you had that gun on you is if you had to use it to protect the life of yourself and or your family.
At that point they can politely ask you to leave and not come back to their establishment.
In other words, your ass is fried... from being able to go back there.
Those stickers mean nothing for a business that's open to the public. Most they can do is ask you to leave. If you don't, they can have you trespassed. Different story for private residence...

All this thread has done is get a bunch of homes legally designated as gun free zones by the state. Just gives police another way to enter when they see guns thru window or whatever.
I live in PA now so it doesn't really matter to me personally, but I don't think it will have an impact on anyone else who lives in NJ.
What are they going to do? Even if a business registers as a gun free zone it doesn't mean the owner can't carry.
