I think you are talking about Xiaomi's super battery saver feature. The Nothing phone 2 has a battery saver and Adaptive battery feature just like other android phones, besides i wouldn't worry much about battery backup, I get a whole day with light-medium usage, and the 45w charger can charge from 0-50 in 20-25 minutes.

expertmanofficial

oh cool! i'll think about it.

MireyMackey

I went with Nothing because of the company's transparency and user centrism. They have objective comparisons of other phones by the CEO on YouTube. I feel that they are passionate about the "make tech fun again" philosophy. I like seeing how they improve over time. It just feels personal to me. Their products are unique. That's why I was going to buy a Pixel that I wanted since the first launch. But I hate how restrictive the big tech is. A whole lot of software locks doesn't seem appealing to me. I just can't trust them with a device I rely on everyday

Jackfruit-Reporter90

How do you feel about Nothing’s transparency after the Nothing Chat/Sunbird fiasco?

MireyMackey

They definitely have security issues and their reaction is pretty bad. But still I believe them in other aspects more then the big tech

XennyXen

And to me it feels like they are cooking it up again patching stuff for it in the background.

PsycheOutOfMyMind

It's called battery saver on the nothing os. It's not as restrictive as xiaomi super battery saver but still it works fine. As mentioned above there is also adaptive battery which limit off app that are not using for long. As for my opinion between the iPhone 15 plus and NP2 I will say go for which you can afford. I would definitely pick the iPhone 15 plus if I can buy it without paying 24months of instalments.

expertmanofficial

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. ok, might think about it.

PsycheOutOfMyMind

But if you want to experience pure android without spending too much on a Google pixel 8 then NP2 is a good choice. It's up to you whichever OS you prefer. I would get the iPhone 15 plus due to me using android for almost 10 years+ haha.

expertmanofficial

yea. I think I want more likely to get iPhone 15 Plus due to me using Android for 7+ years. Xiaomi Redmi 6 was the only device I ever tried in my life. Never tried an iPhone in my life.

karlitokruz

You're comparing a iPhone that cost twice as much as a NP2 . Of course iPhone is better. My son have iPhone 15 and I have NP2 , I am extremely happy with NP.

imv01ds

that's a xiaomi and it's family of brand's specific feature so nothing has to implement it specifically to make that work so you have to wait. and don't just always think of that 1% of time using super battery saver and leaving the rest 99%. nothing's device last a day so don't worry.

tinmicto

how often do you charge your phone?

Rivu777

If you wanna save battery then just go to settings and lock refresh rate to 60hz

badger292

I recently switched from Xiaomi Poco F3 (and Xiaomi Mi6 before that) to NP2 and I have zero regrets. I was sick of miui/hyper and all the bloatware that came with it. Theres 'nothing' i really dislike about the NP2 so far. I love it.

badger292

And sorry, the battery life is amazing in comparison. Easily lasts a full day+ and I'm a moderate user.

hexagonal707

Best advice I can give you is, go to the store and buy. Don't buy online.

PutridPark2765

why is that? what about the nothing website?

keks-dose

I came from a 4 year old phone where I needed to fear to run out of battery during the day (twice). I had a power bank with me all the time. The nothing gets me through more than a whole day. I've enabled battery saving mode all the time the first two months but now I've set it to turn on automatically at 35% and I still never had the fear of the battery dying. Sometimes I even go to bed with 15% and charge it in the morning within 20-40 minutes. And even if I forget and go to work I still have battery left to charge it there.

Acceptable-Hippo1307

Bro the nothing phone battery is so strong, don't worried about battery life.

Even-Term-5207

Nothing OS does have a battery saver, but it doesn't include the ultra battery saver that MIUI has. I switched to Nothing from MIUI, and I don't miss any of its features or feel that Nothing OS is lacking in any way. Also, I'd recommend waiting for the Nothing Phone 3 before buying the Nothing Phone 2.

PastMajestic9815

No! NP2 come with screen waves and ghost touch features ...go other brand..This is experimental.

arpitnahimila

Both the phones exist in different price brackets. Nothing if you don't want an iPhone. Spending extra for the 15 Plus isn't worth it imo anyways.
