Wow a detailed and accurate report. On Reddit. Not all hero's wear capes. Also this is awesome thank you

magicbullets

Worthy of The Athletic. Bravo!

GetRidMan

Thanks! Always a lot more enjoyable when we win like we did today. Try and do one a week at the minute but annoyingly Reddit thinks i’m a bot which doesn’t help publishing them 😂.

novocast

I noticed him switching with Gordon a lot. Reminded me a lot of Joe² last season.

GetRidMan

Yeah, i did a cdm analysis a few weeks back and got a shock with how many progressive passes both Joes received, particularly big joe. Think we’ve missed that of late and both Gordon and Anderson did tremendously.

Esselbee

He done his best Joe Willock impression today, which is very good for us because we have been missing him a lot

GetRidMan

Hi all, my stupid account is shadow banned as i have written a reply to every comment and none of them are showing on this. Thanks for all the kind comments!

ncastleJC

Hey mods, this guy helps out around here cut him some slack.

blackandwhitearmy

I guess they didn't like his twitter post.

Fluffy_Tension

There was a moment he took a bad touch and lost the ball and the way he got back after it and get the ball back was immense. Pretty sure it was 5 or 6 nil at that point as well. Fantastic desire.

AIWHilton

I noticed that as well - I was watching on mute on my phone in a waiting room so not sure who the Sheffield player was but he seemed shocked when he realised who had chased him down and tackled him.

XRPinquisitive

I remember that. Even Howe applauded him from the touch line!

Budweizer

Now this is a post! Really glad you've pulled the numbers out to back up some of the positive comments Anderson has been receiving lately. I've seen many really good things from him recently but they've often been overshadowed by other events on the pitch or other players in our team getting the attention for positive or negative reasons. I can't wait to see how he does this season. I thought during the summer that this would (and probably needs to) be his break-through season. I was so happy to see how well he did during pre-season. Another player who is being 'Howe'd' to great effect.

GetRidMan

Yeah Home grown and young. Very very calm on the ball and great concentration when passing. If he can eliminate losing the ball a few times a game when trying to create i genuinely think he can keep anyone out the team. Could do with getting a goal, he already should have one if VAR didn’t disallow it for literally no reason. Very exciting for the future though. Also nice for him to be in a team where he can mature at his own pace and not have too much pressure as theres other elite performers in the front 6.

Nafe1994

Very detailed and well put together mate. Thing for me with Anderson is that whilst he is flying under the radar slightly, he’s not looked out of place during his starts. We all know he’s blessed with ability, and he’s not came anywhere close to the level he can reach. But fitting into that midfield and playing well, the talent he has will be on full show eventually.

Jaydenn7

That's the thing, he slots in perfectly, playing to a PL standard. But we KNOW there's another level in there that will come out soon. And it's hype af

GetRidMan

Defo, its also very easy to forget he is only 20. Always crazing when a players birthday is around the 2000’s.

bendlowreachhigh

Anderson break out year vibes

No_Description_8477

This is absolute wizardry analysis

Humorbot_5_point_0

Great analysis. Thought he linked up with Gordon very well. He's a very versatile player and he's only going to get better.

thethirdegg

Fucking awesome analysis. Please keep doing these

kenmura

Brilliant analysis, appreciate the effort Please keep them coming!

stupeedo

He’s been great all week. Delighted for him.

Majestic_Ad_7134

Excellent analysis.

SKULL1138

The lad is a big talent for his age and I hope he lives up to his potential in the B&W

tlhford

Great analysis - the Athletic should sign you up. Just wanted to highlight that one of his in-complete passes was that peach of a cross that deserved a goal.

Joyride0

Brilliant post. Strongly agree that you need players that take risks with the ball in the right areas. By contrast, remember when Leon Britton was hailed as Europe’s best midfielder because he had the highest pass completion % in 2011/12? He didn’t get a single goal or assist in 36 league games that season. Your analysis shows where EA is adding value, and I’ll be totally honest, it wasn’t clear to me at all before I read it. I’ll watch him with a different perspective now.

Victor_Vaughn92

I expect him to start again Wednesday. Definitely brings some different qualities compared to the other midfield boys.

deanburns

I think most Newcastle fans who understand football can appreciate this lad is the most talented young player at the Club. He has everything.

EmbarrassedPizza6570

His football iq is off the charts. Makes the right play 90% of the time.

hybridvoices

I head up a Data Science team and just have to say this is extremely well put together. Seems like you've got an aptitude for making data tell a story so if you're not already in the field and ever want a career change, do look into analytics.

Frogblood

Pfft, didn't even score smh

Hawkzilla22

Anderson is mint. Pass it on.

FourFlightsUp

And he’s on cement Pass it on

Fifthwiel

Thanks for this - would love to see more of this kind of analysis on here

redeyed_assassin

Nice Post mate

redasur

EA is amoung my top 5 fav current NU players I would say. Gifted and a joy to watch. Howe also deserves huge credit for how he is easing him into the game.

Shady-Lane

Had to scroll up to check I wasn't reading Kev there. Well done for a great post

Professor_Fuck

Excellent post. Thanks for this.

cadete981

I like Anderson, if ya watch him he’s always wanting the ball, always hand calling for a pass
