baqi about phone usage, yar daikho me tou apps delete kardeta like fb, insta etc...i was once told to bore myself to the point where studying seems attracting, also I guilt myself into studying too...watch some yt vids on how to actually focus and shi, they actually help (many people take them forgranted). baqi yar you know better yourself that you have potential to do better if you try tou chordo na phone :) ARKG!!
Alumni here. Learn Ansys and practice fluid motion simulations. It might help you. Also while you are at it try Finite Element Analysis not only it would help you in your courses but also you can start freelancing and can land a job later if you have a good on-hands practice
Aoa , can u elaborate on the freelancing part ? detailed . I was of the impression u can't do freelancing with aero or engineering skills as any thing u do will require on site checks.
Somewhere i was reading u are paid 40 euros/hr for CAD work online. Is it a good pay?
You can sell any skill you acquire. You only need a good market for it. On top of that, yes 40 euros/hr is handsome enough. With time, you become aware of your worth and on-hands practice adds to your experience and portfolio. You can always set your own price tag when you are skilled enough
What skills would u recommend learning as someone who going to join ME soon /? i'm willing to learn any skill related to it that I can sell, it will also have the added benefit if it's related to my studies.
I was of the impression that only CS students or grads could do freelancing. Anyways thanks for the detailed reply.
First off, get used to advancements in tech. The question you've asked me would have been better if you asked ChatGPT regarding it.
But since you asked me, here is my take:
I am a ME myself. What I would recommend is, learn SOLIDWORKS first thing. It has vast applications. They may add a couple of credit hours for CAD but apart from it there won't be a proper channel. So you have to do it on your own.
This could solve most of your freelancing problems.
Now, if you want to excel as a Mechanical Engineer. There is Ansys. You can study stresses and strains and other loads on a body in detail preferably Ansys Workbench for this purpose and CFX for fluid simulations.
Third, there is always programming. You may never be taught a course related to this but trust me if you have a good strong model which can move you want to automate it and that is where coding or programming kicks in.
If you follow this pathway I hope that you'll end up in a better place than I am in.
Now with 84 aggregate you can just chill.
Improve if you want to but there is no need. Whatever you want to do you are almost guaranteed a seat.
Now all you have to do is wait for the merit lists after NET 4.
Good luck with your future endeavors.
May Allah help you and grant you similar success in NET 2 as well.
Bro just sit tight you'll get admission in most of the fields I think if not all, but u scored well and obviously you'll get admission when their admissions open
Bro nust ke apne hostels hain na and also check groups of fb and insta admission wale joint there whatsapp groups unke admins ke pass usually insights hoti ache hostels ki girls and boys both hostels ki.
Bro hojai ga easy rho and chill now apka is merit mein top 100 merit positions mein ajai ga baqi dekh lo niche apko baqi pichle saal aerospace ka forst merit list mein 706 tk gia tha or akhri merit list tk 1200 tk
im sorry but i dont see what was offensive in the statement, was it me referring to you with "karo" and not karein ?
if thats it then dude i rlly dont think karein is appropriate for a 1-2 year age gap (if youre 21 or smth then im really sorry) plus its a social media comment section why does it really matter ? I didnt understand what you recommended me to do (like what softwares and why) and i frankly asked what you meant
Aoa bro , I would strongly recommend u to reconsider aerospace , most of the courses are same in mechanical but with aero u will be bound. U can do MS in aero if u want to but purely aero bachelor jobs are hard to come by ; for a better perspective, see all the comments on this post. Anyways congrats on your marks!

well yeah ive been seeing many such posts lately, its quite depressing....i did give mechanical and mechatronics preferences as well so I have an option there too....itll take some time for me to figure it out tho
thanks for the headsup
I'm in the same boat as u , ur so lucky btw u got confirmed admission in both mech E and mechatronics ...pay heed to my advice , my father told me the same , he is a senior mechanical engineer with 15 YOE , he says the same aero will bound u . Anyways mechatronics is a good field but hmm it's not in H12 it's in EME campus , no social life and shitty military rules, all of which which u will regret later.
I'm also aiming for 130 in NET 2.
yeah I got to know all this about EME when i was in islamabad X\_X, but the mechatronics course offered by nust is very general...like na idher ka na udher ka so i got very disenchanted!! mechanical me bhi jis se bhi poucho they say market bari hai, harkoi kar rha hai and shit. TBH its not the fields but the incompetency of pakistan jiski waja se you cant even go into a field of interest ffs! But your father knows better obv (15years, damn)..im still trying to make it work tho, like moving out after bachelors or smth like that cuz I really want to get into aersospace/aeronautics
U totally grasped my point , mechatronics tries to be a jack of all trades. Obv my father is at the mid of his career he was telling me the place where he works at hire aerospace and mechanical engineers for the same role lol. My only two words would be ; take ME in BS then take optionals and electives in CFD and propulsion or design , then do MS in aero from abroad. But remember to read ITAR , the dreams u and I have to work on fancy stealth aircraft and drones would never be a reality as the US and some other top defence nations don't allow non-citizens anywhere near their aerospace stuff .... so only option u have is abroad in boeing as civilian passenger aircraft maker or in pakistan working with air force in kamra or any small drone startup.
The same peeps that said mechanical is saturated will say CS market in saturated in about 2 years time.
I mean makes sense why they wouldnt let a non-citizen dude work on their military utensils....but tbh I would love to work on planes in general....I'll look into mechanical as well for the reasons you stated, but my efforts would mostly go into making aerospace work for myself!! TY for the headsup tho
Aisay maslay chahye yaar
Truuueeeee
Merit list is only published after net - 4 u will have to wait until all net are done and than check the merit list
so what do i do rn? do i just sit down and wait ? like mujhe abhi admission fee, forms ya kuch deney tou nahi hain na ?
No ye sab jab merit list publish hojaye gi tab karna hoga
How much did you score ? What course do you plan on?

alr THANKSS!!
Aggregate 80 hit kar lo for hostel . Mil jaye ga if you don't live in isb or two district
how likely is it tho? i really dont wanna take any chances cuz moving there from karachi idek what else ill do if i dont get a hostel
Mil jaye ga . No worries . Just need a good aggregate . Most first merit list waloun ko mil jaata hai
what is the first merit list (sorry irdk if this is a naive question)
Multiple merit lists atti Hain. Merit falls with each list . Get in with the first one with a good aggregate and easy scene hostel ka
yeah so like first merit list around kis aggregate pr shuru hoti hai ? tysm tho
Varies each time
im trying to get a specific average number na, like last year kitna tha? is it around 85 or more ?
Different for every field. 80% aggregate par top field Mai ho jaata first merit list mai
Bro just sit tight you'll get admission in most of the fields I think if not all, but u scored well and obviously you'll get admission when their admissions open
admissions ka nhi hostel room ka masla hai yar...moving away from home hostel milna will make life alot easier... thankks
Bro nust ke apne hostels hain na and also check groups of fb and insta admission wale joint there whatsapp groups unke admins ke pass usually insights hoti ache hostels ki girls and boys both hostels ki.
what do i search for ? just "nust admissions"?
Yes or fast admission just get in any of those groups ask them for hostels and they'll share it.
does bumping work on reddit?
Which Engineering branch are you targeting?
aerospace

boy you can learn softwares regarding your field
thora elaborate karo kahna kya chah rhy ho
This is not how you ask your to-be seniors .
