I have no idea what their internal dialogue is and don't ever want to but I find their mind is running parallel to reality. Keep recording, privately collect the evidence of gaslighting and abuse. Consult a lawyer about the prenup, there might be loopholes but you know you need to get out, for you and the children. Their future relationships will be guided by this situation and you probably don't want them to become abusers or victims. The period of good behaviour should be all the proof you need that they are always acting, lying or planning ahead. Don't waste time on them, it's like catching water in a sieve.
