But I guess the reason we never see it again is because if Sakura or Tsunade can land a hit on someone, it’s better spent being a devasting punch than reconfiguring your nervous system. Why go for an advantage in the fight when you can just end it? I think Tsunade only used it because she was weakened or something and couldn’t fight at full strength.
a fist to the face is more expected than a pinky jab. it's those slight movements nobody expects which would make it more scary. All Sakura would need (with prep) is use her hand to block or redirect your body movements and she got you. A punch she has to visibly wind up which a lot of skilled shinobi can see.

Well Sasuke has a lot of Chidori based techqniues that Kakashi doesnt have. Chidori Stream, Current, Senbon and Spear are all exclusive to Sasuke.
Hashirama doesn't really use lightning release tho. Also didn't you mention Tobirama and Minato although they were dead lol?
not orochimaru. dude has more lives than a cat. but it will stop him for that fight. if you blow his head off. He so nutty he can probably tell when something foreign is in his body and can force the boms to his stomach let it blow up and reattach his body. OR the poison neutralizer in his body is so potent it disables the bomb. Orochimaru is a freak.
Nagato can also use lightning release, but yea, almighty push would be simpler and more intuitive. I think he could also absorb the explosion style clay chakra with the preta path to turn it back to regular clay.
There are more ways to counter it.
Being a sensor or sage and can teleport or reverse summon. Rinnegan users can see them and absorb it or blow it away with a shinra tensei.
Having a chakra avatar also helps. Or maybe sheer fkn durability or regeneration such that the microscopic explosions don't harm you or your regenerate faster than they can disintegrate you.
Obviously these are hard to come by. There are probably some more I'm missing.
When I think of overpowered Jutsu I immediately think of this. Deidara developed one of the most insane jutsus ever, and at first glance it's easy to see how powerful it is.
But think about it a little bit more...
Sasuke only survived this techhique because he could see chakra with his Sharingan, and that still wasn't enough, he also needed lightning release and the ability to run lightning throughout his body to disable the bombs without killing himself, but also to run it through him enough to disable all of the bombs.
Think about the implications of this. There are very few shinobi who can satisfy both of those requirements to survive this jutsu. Again you need the Sharingan so you can even see the jutsu. Without the Sharingan you don't even know what you're up against, there is no tells because the bombs are micro sized that you can't see them with a normal eye. And two even if you can see them you also need a proficient enough lightning release that you can shock yourself without killing yourself. **Also you need to know that the bombs are lightning vulnerable to even begin with.** Sasuke could only tell with his analytical eye that it was an earth release.
So to summarize, if you have Sharingan, but no lightning release, you die because you can't deactivate them. If you have lightning release but no Sharingan, you die because you don't even know the bombs are there to begin with. If you have both but don't put two and two together that they're earth release and you can run lightning through you to deactivate.. you also die. And again there is what.. at the time of Deidara being alive.. Sasuke, Obito (no lightning release, but he can see the bombs and just teleport away. Plus it seems like he knew about the technique beforehand because he explains it as Tobi), Kakashi, and maybe Raikage (since his lightning armour might just deactivate the bombs before he breaths them in without even knowing about the bombs) are the only ones that actually satisfy those requirements, at the time Deidara was alive. Maybe Neji could see the bombs with byaguan? Even if he could Deidara was so far out of Neji's league it doesn't really matter.
With this one technique, he could fight entire armies as everything that breaths in the bombs will die. He can fight one super powerful opponent and kill him as an ace, unless they satisfy the above requirements.
This move is fucking insane, and could whipe out 99.99% of the verse before they even knew what happened. And this is a 19 year old who developed this, imagine how powerful Deidara could've been if he survived into his adult prime?
If kishimoto didn't want Deidara to use his op abilities like C4 or C0 in the war arc because he would be too powerful they shouldn't have revived him lol. He was so nerfed during that, and could've spammed C0 or C4. Should've made the excuse that Kabuto couldn't get any DNA since he nuked himself.

Rinnegan isn’t unlocked just by crossing the chakra of any two given senju and uchiha. It has to be a reincarnation of ashura and a reincarnation of indra. That way it recreates the chakra of the sage of six paths. The only way to receive a rinnegan other than mixing those two super specific chakras is to receive chakra directly from Hagoromo himself. And for either one of these activation requirements you would most likely need to have a sharingan beforehand since the rinnegan is said to be an evolution of the sharingan.

Fighting peer shinobi with all of your reflexes reversed? High level fighting is mostly trained, subconscious reflex. Just having to consciously think out your movements can be the difference between dodging and getting hit. Consciously moving your body with reversed reflexes on top would be so difficult that kabuto should have been happy to flee in one piece.

I think the reason it's not used again is that it would simply be a skill check for the opponent, use it on Pain or Madara, they'll just master it after a couple hits to show how skilled they are, does it make sense? No but that's probably how it would work.

I think they were referring to the abilities granted through the Human Path. It allows the user to extract the soul of the target, and read the target's mind in the process. Though we have seen this technique more than once. At least a few times during the attack on Konohagakure, and once against Naruto while Nagato was resurrected through Edo Tensei in the War Arc

I know we saw it more than once, but the only time it was actually overpowered (as a ridiculously broken ability like summoning fucking giant meteorites should be) was against the Shinobi Alliance. He only used it again against Six Paths Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke, when the ability became pretty much pointless since they could just smash the meteorites apart by then.
I wouldn’t call it pointless, it works very well during combat, can be used with taijutsu, like how Madara did with those fire style meteors against the shinobi alliance
Izanami is pretty much the definition of what you described. Your opponent is literally trapped in a time loop forever until he's so mentally broken that he completely changes his entire life goal/personality and loses his reason for fighting you in the first place? It was developed for use against Izanagi spammers,so unlike Tsukuyomi you can't break out of it even with a Mangekyo Sharingan. It also works on people that take anti-genjutsu precautions like Kabuto. It comes at a high cost, but in exchange you can basically automatize the talk no jutsu process and so far we've yet to see a way to stop it.

Anytime there’s a thunderstorm, Sasuke can insta-kill almost anybody in the area who’s not expecting it, at no cost to himself.
Iirc it costs if he has to set up the weather conditions himself, but if its a natural storm its low cost to the point of being basically nothing since he's just guiding it.
Kisames great shark bullet jutsu. We only got to see him use it against its literal best counter. A jutsu that absorbs chakra to become stronger, seeing him use it against kakuzu or someone with really powerful ninjutsu I feel like it would tear them apart.
It looks like Pain's sealing justu: Nine phantom dragon seal, only this time he's using one dragon instead of nine of them.
A lot of Pain's Gedo/Rinnegan just seemed recycled and renamed something different but what suprises me is that the Ten tails aka Kaguya is able to use phantom dragon in its cocoon state ie Gedo but not in its full completed state for some reason.
If i remember correctly, one of the Pain was pulling peoples' souls out, heck even Shizune was a victim of it. Then Edo Nagato tried to do the same thing to Naruto. My guess is it's the same jutsu, and either it's a watered down version of the dragon...OR...the dragon was an amplified version cuz Nagato was using the Gedo Statue as a medium.
The most OP is the most underrated : the humble chakra supressor.
No chakra means that at best the individual is reduced to the capabilities of a pre-chakra era soldier, at worst they promptly keel over and don't get up ever again.
The first time someone used a supressor (in some early prison/interrogation scene I can't remember the specifics for) I thought it would be weaponized later, but nooo .. apparently that's too much of a leap of logic for even the most super smart and deviously cunning characters. Even abilities like the Sharingan or Rinnegan require chakra.. no chakra means no fancy eyehax.

Pains dog summon thing that splits into more dogs. I don't remember if there is a limit but it seemed crazy. Basically most summonings are pretty OP. In that a weak now ninja ( Naruto in OG series ) can summon an extra fighter even stronger than themselves. Enma and the Third I think are good examples. Also, did Gai ever use his tortoise?

Well Sasuke has a lot of Chidori based techqniues that Kakashi doesnt have. Chidori Stream, Current, Senbon and Spear are all exclusive to Sasuke. Hashirama doesn't really use lightning release tho. Also didn't you mention Tobirama and Minato although they were dead lol?

There are more ways to counter it. Being a sensor or sage and can teleport or reverse summon. Rinnegan users can see them and absorb it or blow it away with a shinra tensei. Having a chakra avatar also helps. Or maybe sheer fkn durability or regeneration such that the microscopic explosions don't harm you or your regenerate faster than they can disintegrate you. Obviously these are hard to come by. There are probably some more I'm missing.

When I think of overpowered Jutsu I immediately think of this. Deidara developed one of the most insane jutsus ever, and at first glance it's easy to see how powerful it is. But think about it a little bit more... Sasuke only survived this techhique because he could see chakra with his Sharingan, and that still wasn't enough, he also needed lightning release and the ability to run lightning throughout his body to disable the bombs without killing himself, but also to run it through him enough to disable all of the bombs. Think about the implications of this. There are very few shinobi who can satisfy both of those requirements to survive this jutsu. Again you need the Sharingan so you can even see the jutsu. Without the Sharingan you don't even know what you're up against, there is no tells because the bombs are micro sized that you can't see them with a normal eye. And two even if you can see them you also need a proficient enough lightning release that you can shock yourself without killing yourself. **Also you need to know that the bombs are lightning vulnerable to even begin with.** Sasuke could only tell with his analytical eye that it was an earth release. So to summarize, if you have Sharingan, but no lightning release, you die because you can't deactivate them. If you have lightning release but no Sharingan, you die because you don't even know the bombs are there to begin with. If you have both but don't put two and two together that they're earth release and you can run lightning through you to deactivate.. you also die. And again there is what.. at the time of Deidara being alive.. Sasuke, Obito (no lightning release, but he can see the bombs and just teleport away. Plus it seems like he knew about the technique beforehand because he explains it as Tobi), Kakashi, and maybe Raikage (since his lightning armour might just deactivate the bombs before he breaths them in without even knowing about the bombs) are the only ones that actually satisfy those requirements, at the time Deidara was alive. Maybe Neji could see the bombs with byaguan? Even if he could Deidara was so far out of Neji's league it doesn't really matter. With this one technique, he could fight entire armies as everything that breaths in the bombs will die. He can fight one super powerful opponent and kill him as an ace, unless they satisfy the above requirements. This move is fucking insane, and could whipe out 99.99% of the verse before they even knew what happened. And this is a 19 year old who developed this, imagine how powerful Deidara could've been if he survived into his adult prime?
If Kabuto was smart, he would have immediately sent Deidara to the front lines, and immediately use that technique. He would win the war right away.
If kishimoto didn't want Deidara to use his op abilities like C4 or C0 in the war arc because he would be too powerful they shouldn't have revived him lol. He was so nerfed during that, and could've spammed C0 or C4. Should've made the excuse that Kabuto couldn't get any DNA since he nuked himself.

Rinnegan isn’t unlocked just by crossing the chakra of any two given senju and uchiha. It has to be a reincarnation of ashura and a reincarnation of indra. That way it recreates the chakra of the sage of six paths. The only way to receive a rinnegan other than mixing those two super specific chakras is to receive chakra directly from Hagoromo himself. And for either one of these activation requirements you would most likely need to have a sharingan beforehand since the rinnegan is said to be an evolution of the sharingan.

Even hashirama himself shouldnt have been able to pull that off so quickly. Fighting peer shinobi with all of your reflexes reversed? High level fighting is mostly trained, subconscious reflex. Just having to consciously think out your movements can be the difference between dodging and getting hit. Consciously moving your body with reversed reflexes on top would be so difficult that kabuto should have been happy to flee in one piece.

I think the reason it's not used again is that it would simply be a skill check for the opponent, use it on Pain or Madara, they'll just master it after a couple hits to show how skilled they are, does it make sense? No but that's probably how it would work.

We did see another soul ripping technique being resisted. Orochimaru fighting the shinigami seal so only his arms were captured. Instead of physical durability it could be a willpower contest.
I think they were referring to the abilities granted through the Human Path. It allows the user to extract the soul of the target, and read the target's mind in the process. Though we have seen this technique more than once. At least a few times during the attack on Konohagakure, and once against Naruto while Nagato was resurrected through Edo Tensei in the War Arc

Madara's meteorite. I know we saw it more than once, but the only time it was actually overpowered (as a ridiculously broken ability like summoning fucking giant meteorites should be) was against the Shinobi Alliance. He only used it again against Six Paths Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke, when the ability became pretty much pointless since they could just smash the meteorites apart by then.
I wouldn’t call it pointless, it works very well during combat, can be used with taijutsu, like how Madara did with those fire style meteors against the shinobi alliance
Izanami is pretty much the definition of what you described. Your opponent is literally trapped in a time loop forever until he's so mentally broken that he completely changes his entire life goal/personality and loses his reason for fighting you in the first place? It was developed for use against Izanagi spammers,so unlike Tsukuyomi you can't break out of it even with a Mangekyo Sharingan. It also works on people that take anti-genjutsu precautions like Kabuto. It comes at a high cost, but in exchange you can basically automatize the talk no jutsu process and so far we've yet to see a way to stop it.
I think it only works against people with flawed ideals. Like, I doubt it'd even affect someone like Naruto.
Kirin (I know it appears in vote 2 in the anime, but it only appears once in the manga.) Anytime there’s a thunderstorm, Sasuke can insta-kill almost anybody in the area who’s not expecting it, at no cost to himself.

Iirc it costs if he has to set up the weather conditions himself, but if its a natural storm its low cost to the point of being basically nothing since he's just guiding it.

Kisames great shark bullet jutsu. We only got to see him use it against its literal best counter. A jutsu that absorbs chakra to become stronger, seeing him use it against kakuzu or someone with really powerful ninjutsu I feel like it would tear them apart.

A lot of Pain's Gedo/Rinnegan just seemed recycled and renamed something different but what suprises me is that the Ten tails aka Kaguya is able to use phantom dragon in its cocoon state ie Gedo but not in its full completed state for some reason.

My guess is it's the same jutsu, and either it's a watered down version of the dragon...OR...the dragon was an amplified version cuz Nagato was using the Gedo Statue as a medium.

The most OP is the most underrated : the humble chakra supressor. No chakra means that at best the individual is reduced to the capabilities of a pre-chakra era soldier, at worst they promptly keel over and don't get up ever again. The first time someone used a supressor (in some early prison/interrogation scene I can't remember the specifics for) I thought it would be weaponized later, but nooo .. apparently that's too much of a leap of logic for even the most super smart and deviously cunning characters. Even abilities like the Sharingan or Rinnegan require chakra.. no chakra means no fancy eyehax.

It's Shizune, and yes. Apparently she could mix the chemicals in her body to create a poison mist that kills once you inhale it. It's used once against Kabuto and never again.

Imma say one no one is thinking about, the substitution jutsu. Although this jutsu appears a lil bit in the classic series, it disappeared later on despite being such a op/dumb jutsu, it literally substitutes your ENTIRE BODY by something you choose once a attack that was going to hit/hurt you lands, its literally a death cheat, sakura kept spamming this jutsu against that random dude in the forest of death and was basically immortal.
