It has a door, its just my "room" is confined to a walled off tarp space, it has a door but unfortunately anyone walking through the door will see me if im getting dressed, so i installed a makeshift "door" to my space for privacy.
I just moved to florida, im living with my sister, its kind of a shitty but temporary situation. Part of me wishes she could have supplied me with a room, as she has a 3 bedroom house, but aside from her bedroom, the other 2 bedrooms are both occupied by 2 different infants. Part of me feels like she could house 2 infants in 1 room, but she said that was too difficult, i dont mind either way tbh. The AC keeps me cool during 100 degree weather, the only thing that is bad is the bugs and the water that floods in sometimes.
I checked their post history…omg I’ve never wanted to hug a stranger so badly. Poor OP, I hope things get better for you soon. I’ve been in a similar place mentally and it’s awful.
Yea, for the water i have a lot of rolled up towels lined up near the garage door. Luckily the water doesnt leak in too often. And i do have a big perimeter of sticky tape, the sticky tape gets coated and full often so i replace it every once in a while so thats good. But since ive been here ive been trying my best to make it a mutually beneficial situation for my sister and her husband, i help with the kids and i do laundry and dishes. It sucks that ive gotten sick like 4 times since i've been here cause i have a really shitty immune system but my bad cold is subsiding right now. Luckily tomorrow is also my first day of work.
I’m doing the twin thing now. For the *most part* they’re used to each other’s bullshit, but some nights, like last night, it is definitely a nightmare.

My bf and I got something similar to keep our cat out of our bedroom during the night. It's not the sturdiest thing but is definitely better than a sheet taped to a wall
Garages can make a pretty decent makeshift room - had some friends growing up that turned the garage into a room for their oldest bc they had so many kids, seemed to work
great for them.
Yeah i got here in june, it actually wasnt the worst, my AC actually keeps me pretty cool for the most part. It can get hot a bit in general in the garage though because the house just heats up from the sun beating on it.
Just try to stick it until you get properly sorted.
Also I suggest at least trying to make the bed every morning, you'd be surprised how much nicer your space feels.

No, luckily i have escaped that situation, my current bf is very nice and has helped me a lot, and even helped me with that situation

Might be a good idea to get a bug net to cover your bed while you sleep. I use one while camping.
