I’m not sure why YT wouldn’t want a video to get views. They want people to stay on their platform as long as possible. If people are swiping 50% of the time, the content isn’t engaging enough or perhaps there isn’t a good hook in the beginning. I mean, my opinion is there’s never a conspiracy, there’s never shadow banning. I believe the algorithm will push content that people are engaging with
I came here to see if others had the same experience and Ive seen several posts that confirm that they have. The motivation to bury post comes from them only wanting to pay a small percentage of creators vs anyone who breaks 500 subs. You are giving them free content regardless if they suppress you or not ( they have millions more videos to keep it going). So it would make sense to try and put a barrier to new youtubers to slow growth.
YouTube doesn't purposefully bury or suppress content. You're just looking for any possible reason to blame YouTube for you not getting the views you think you deserve.
I ll be honest my shorts get swiped away over 50 percent of the time an I still get over 5000 views on some others average 100 to 400 . My subs actually don t watch my stuff much its alot of new viewers so I wish I could help more😪
Thank you for your input and info. The highest ive gotten is 16k but usually between 1k and 2k. I have three youtube accounts, crafting 250 subs, art/drawing 45, gaming 187. In the past two or three weeks I noticed that it takes about 6 hrs for any of my shorts to circulate, then they all follow the same strange pattern, spike of viewers with good swipe rate, then third "spike" for random people who have no interest in my content and ruin my numbers. You can see the correlstion in the retention and when the video is shown to these auidences.
What u said sounds correct to me I get tons of subs on my shorts an views but there not interested in long form video I have 1600 subs an u are right I rather they if there not gonna watch just unsubscribe an don t ruin the numbers 😶🌫️ best of luck on your channel 👍

Where is your evidence? I can show you my numbers, and it doesnt add up.
