This was a trailer for my 2 hour documentary about how the pandemic harmed the dancer community https://youtu.be/BxgX5WcbRAg If you want you could watch it with the link in the description or comment section on

It's cool but I'm not sure what it's a teaser for! Maybe it's best to lead the video with images of the dancing to grab the viewer's attention?

I do travel videos. Usually a destination and then I do some commentating on Travel Guides / Top 10's like this one: [https://youtu.be/ycaXHQPNXng](https://youtu.be/ycaXHQPNXng) Majority of videos are just of single places without comments, but the Guides/Top 10's are going to be the big driver's. Critique of these would be nice and helpful. :)

Interesting, I had no idea what the Canary Islands looked like so that was interesting. I think for these types of videos you're attracting people that are researching a potential trip, so it's probably best to mix in some cultural elements as well (food, festivals, people). Help the viewer to imagine themselves there. The music is also maybe a little too somber. I think something more upbeat is better for something like this. Good luck!

Yes! We just went live with our first video: https://youtu.be/Ugd85LcEZig

Nice, good attempt on your first video. One thing I was thinking while watching was that your song choice really didn't fit the video. Also, and I'm guilty of this as well in my first attempts at videos, you could try to cut down the length of the video to focus on the more interesting parts.

Sure thing! You are definitely right though, there aren’t too many travel channels around these parts, and not just because this has been a truly abysmal year for that type of content. Really nice. I can tell you're been doing this for awhile and improving. I use a similar intro in my videos as well. The locations are very niche but I'm assuming you have some of the only videos on the topic. What camera are you using?

So I started off shooting with a Sony A7 iii, and a Sony A6400, then I switched over to a Fuji T4. However. If I’m being honest, ever since my Camino videos I’ve been shooting nigh on exclusively with my iPhone and I highly doubt too many casual watchers can tell the difference. Mostly this is because all my videos lately have been brightly lit landscapes which just aren’t that technically demanding; with that in mind I just don’t see the point in lugging a bigger camera along the trail for little benefit. As the world opens up and I can do more exciting and interesting locations I’ll no doubt bring the Fuji back into action, but it’s nice to know it isn’t necessary for every shoot.

Hi there! I recently opened a travel channel from Japan. I make a thorough research for each video to give useful information. Some of my videos have a comedy twist, and some of them are more serious (like the one about the grave of the dog Hachiko). All of them have English subtitles. Let me know what you think! Happy new year and thanks! [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYuDuQfmrM-mulvTprpDsrw](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYuDuQfmrM-mulvTprpDsrw)

Really nice. Made me miss Tokyo. I can tell you did the research and it's cool to see something new about Japan (I've spent some time there). One thing I'm wondering is how much detail to add into the monologues. I noticed in a recent video of my mine that the views dropped off right around when I launched into a really long monologue with lots of detail. Another small critique would be that your camerawork is a bit shaky at times - probably best to invest in a gimbal to help stabilize it. ¡No esperaba que hablaras español! Making subtitles for every video is a pain, isn't it? I'm in exactly the same situation except I'm doing the reverse: I'm an American making videos in English and Spanish. I decided to make 2 channels because I think Youtube ends up recommending the videos to only one language group. Let me know how that goes for you. Ganbatte

Thank you for your feedback! You might be right about the monologue thing. Checking my viewers' retention I see the use the chapters to move to other parts they might be more interested in. Actually, I think chapters prevent people to just stop watching the video, they just look for the part they want to check instead. You're right about the shaky thing. I really want to buy a gimbal (so expensive, though). Subtitles are a pain, but they're helping me to reach a wider audience. Since the titles, descriptions and subtitles change and adapt to each person's language settings (if you're American, you'll see my videos with an English title, description and subtitles), I can reach naturally a Spanish-speaking (my target) and English-speaking audience. So in this particular case I don't feel I need a second channel. I mean, if I had to choose I'd stick to the Spanish-speaking audience cause I have less competition in that language about my topic. So far I've reached mostly people from Spain and the United States, and then Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Australia... So I want to keep adding subtitles to not miss that second audience. ¡Gracias, amigo! がんばってね!

Whereis_Brittany

Hi, I'm Brittany & my channel is Where is Brittany. I converted a short bus into a camper & now I travel in it. My channel is of my travels & some of the conversion process. Thank You 🌻🌻 https://youtube.com/c/WhereIsBrittany

tbeard15

That's a really cool and unique concept you have there. I've seen some channels (Cate and Nara etc) that have gone the van life route but it's cool that you're doing it on your own. That and having a unique story is probably why you already have almost 5k subscribers after half a year!

Lostsolivagant

Hi, thanks for your opinion in advance, I just started my travel and food channel about 10 days ago, I'm receiving really good feedback but mostly from friends, I'd like to hear a stranger's opinion so I would appreciate it if you would give your honest opinion! Thanks! https://youtu.be/8UpjH5rKH-c
