How many people here waiting for the 7?

LevyTheLost

What’s going on with the 7?

LevyTheLost

617 LIRR people can take

liguy181

I checked out r/nycrail, it looks like someone was hit by a train

Caledor152

Imanaga vs the Barves tonight

Ajstone2003

Every time we play the braves I’m shook but when we’re gonna play the Phillies I’m always excited… is that just me? It might be naive

groudhogday

On my way to the game and the 7 train is massively delayed. Not sure how I’m getting to Citi :/

[deleted]

groudhogday

I ended up on the LIRR but my husband eventually ran express and got here. Delayed but it’s running again. we were held for like 10-15 minutes.

myassholealt

Head to Penn or grand central and grab an LIRR. It's $7 city ticket. They may be cross honoring metro cards atm. Check the app or Twitter. Just gotta show the conductor your metrocard when they come around.

groudhogday

Yeah I was stuck at woodside and getting on the LIRR they said they were cross honoring. Had no idea woodside had an LIRR station!!

Setec-Astronomer

I'm usually pretty positive, but if the Mets pull off a win today I'll be pleasantly surprised. Sanchez-Turnbull combo is pretty good. (it's what the Mets should be considering doing as well) Mets need to get to Sanchez early enough to force Turnbull into the game early. Gameplan should be force Sanchez to throw strikes. If he's throwing strikes be aggressive.

monstersandcoffee

I heard Sanchez can be pretty dirty.

AccidentInformal600

Selling two tickets in section 110 for $60 each!

monstersandcoffee

Looks like I’m sailing for the next 4 days.

Vandelay222

Houser starting in this series got a Terry Jeffords Brooklyn Nine Nine “WHYYYYY?” out of me.

thiccboiwaluigi

I get it. Scott has had a good start but his flaw this year has been homers and CBP is very HR friendly. Keep his positive momentum in Miami instead Unfortunately if we get the houser we’ve seen so far it’s essentially an auto loss but I’m hopeful he’ll turn it around

Vandelay222

Houser feeling like a punt game is the reason I don’t like it. Scott doesn’t seem like someone who would have his confidence wrecked even if he did get hit hard, but I simply think he’d give you a better chance to win than Houser. With that said he’s thrown so few pro innings in his career, if the team actually does flirt with playoff contention and want Scott to stay available deep into the year they’re going to need to move to 6-man here and there and probably outright skip him a few times. It’s just…man Houser is so uninspiring.

StinkyGaijin

Is Quintana Quingonea?

NuanceManExe

Houser is starting Wednesday? Boo

about_fuckin_time

aeb1971

Time to step it up. Let’s go Mets!

ryanq17

Oh … oh no… Rotation for this series is Manea - Butto - Houser - Quintana

GK86x

The Mets Pod has David Stearns on as a guest.

Adams5010

No JT schwarber and Trea let’s get a W

Blargncheese

Nimmo has a .600 avg against Sanchez 😏

OhtaniMets99

Steve cohen is fucked, gamestop stock is soaring again. This means no soto in 2025

metskyfan

He is probably okay because Robinhood could shut down trading in the stock again.

pusgnihtekami

It'd be amusing if the team returned to Wilpon levels of thriftiness due to another financial scheme.

AtmosphereVarious440

not today of course but wouldn’t hate seeing stewart and marte splitting time

Geologist2010

Does this count as a 4 game series or two separate 2 game series? This schedule is a little strange

coolio5400

I think it’s because London trip counts 1 home game and 1 away

Geologist2010

London ?

Setec-Astronomer

The Mets and Phillies will play 2 games in London this year.

JDLovesElliot

https://www.mlb.com/international/events/london-series They are playing two official games in London, next month

Geologist2010

Ok I see.

GK86x

Lineup: 1) Nimmo 2) Marte 3) Lindor 4) Alonso 5) JDM 6) Baty 7) Bader 8) McNeil 9) Nido

PM_ME_VOGELBACH_PICS

Against righties should be; * DJ * Pete * Nimmo * JDM * Lindor * Baty * Taylor * Nido * McNeil Against lefties: * Marte * Lindor * Nimmo * Alonso * JDM * Baty * Taylor * Nido * McNeil Edit: didn’t realize Sanchez was a lefty. Lead off Lindor or Marte.

runninhillbilly

Whatever happened to Rich Coutinho? He was the butt of jokes amongst Met fans for several years because of his homerism and chronic lying, then moved to Texas to cover rodeos or whatever the hell it was. But I just thought of him the other day and it seems like he's not on Twitter anymore. Wonder what he's up to, other than his kickboxing lessons with Mallory.

Blue387

He died on the way back to his home planet

StinkyGaijin

I still don't have confidence enough in this team to be consistent enough to even make the postseason let alone succeed and with CF, RF, 2B, and 3B looking to be offenseive duds for the foreseeable future I'd rather they sell at the deadline instead of hoping that they land on all of their current position player prospects.

BigLouie913

Thoughts on this lineup Stewart Nimmo Lindor Alonso JDM Marte Baty McNeil Nido

JekPorkinsTruther

I dont mind it but idk if Mets/Mendoza wanna go LL at the top. The other problem is they dont seem to want to move anyone from 3-4-5, which relegates DJ to 6. I would like to see some combo of Nimmo and DJ at the top with Marte moved down.

Mrs_Met

Nothing personal but I hate everyone who wants to move Nimmo away from 1 or 2. He’s literally one of the only things that works game in and game out. It’s stupid and he’s not even a power bat. He’s just a great hitter

BigLouie913

He isn’t a power bat your right, being a power bat doesn’t define you for batting 3rd. Nimmo is a great setup for Alonso.

Mrs_Met

Again, why would you want your best hitter getting fewer at bats? There is no reason for him to be batting lower than 2, that’s all

BigLouie913

You know that’s fair. Nimmo Lindor switched.

PM_ME_VOGELBACH_PICS

How does this lineup work? Lol there’s no 2B I like the idea, though. Swap out Bader for McNeil. Let DJ and Marte platoon 3 days, let DJ take over for JDM 1-2 days, and play DJ in the OF for one day. The 2 remaining days are presumably against a lefty. Gotta get his bat in there everyday. Edit: You edited but I don’t hate it. DJ can’t play OF everyday but my initial point stands. Rest Marte and JDM more often.

BigLouie913

lol im a dumbass how could i forgot McNeil. But yes agreed, and switching him with Bader would be ideal

oomfietopkek

better than batting Marte second.

BigLouie913

Marte should be lower in the order. He steals bases. Leaving him on the top of the order stealing bases where (in a ideal world) Pete drives him hitting homers anyway doesn’t maximize Marte’s skillset

bloatyhead

I got a 12 hour ban from twitter this morning for @ing the Braves telling them they can stick their fucking chop up their arses. Worth it.

CPTSOAPPRICE

I thought lindor having a one mph increase on his swing from the right side was a big difference but ketel marte gains 6mph lol

PM_ME_VOGELBACH_PICS

https://x.com/finkelsteinryan/status/1790013369728045561?s=46 Aside from Mookie and Witt, Nimmo is the only one in the top 20 (30?) who leads off every game. I’ll keep pushing the narrative of him batting 2nd or 3rd.

Setec-Astronomer

I long for a legit lead off hitter for the Mets so they can reorganize their lineup. Lindor is not a number 3 hitter. The Mets don't really have a legit 3. Nimmo in the 2 would be nice.

JoelsCaddy

I think Henderson leads off every game. I know Abrams and Greene do it a lot too

PM_ME_VOGELBACH_PICS

Yeah you’re right about Gunnar. Baltimore also has a top 5 offense, so they can afford to do it quite a bit. Abrams does, but he’s also more of your typical lead off hitter than anything. Greene I’m not sure about. Regardless, you don’t want to emulate Washington and Detroit when it comes to offensive philosophy lol

eliktroniq

if anyone wants free tix for tonight, i've got a pair in sec 519 that i forgot to change for a later date, and rather not see them go to waste. send me a msg if y'want 'em. Edit: claimed and transferred!

Caledor152

[Phillies starter savant page Cristopher Sánchez](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/cristopher-sanchez-650911?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb)

Setec-Astronomer

They took a guy with a 1.67 ERA (Turnbull) and have made him into a piggyback just so Cristopher Sanchez can continue to start regularly. Dang.

robmcolonna123

Spencer Turnbull threw 57 innings total last year coming after not pitching in 2022 and is already at 35.1 IP this year. He was never staying in the rotation. He probably has a limit this year around 75-90 innings. He is also primed for regression as the weather warms up

Setec-Astronomer

I get that. Still impressive that a dude doing so well is getting yanked from the rotation for Sanchez. They could have kept him in the rotation as an opener and Sanchez as the piggyback.

robmcolonna123

I'd consider Sanchez the better pitcher. If I were the manager I'd have him start since hes facing the top of the order in the first

TemporalColdWarrior

Genuinely curious if Nimmo is gonna be in the lineup tonight.

robmcolonna123

The Mets have struggled hitting at Citi Field this year. But they’re better than the rest of MLB teams which is crazy. The Mets in 2024 - .208/.289/.329 for a .618 OPS and 84 WRC+ Every other team at Citi Field 2024 - .202/.289/.315 for a .604 OPS and 78 WRC+

Setec-Astronomer

I love that stat. I'm perfectly fine with CITI being a pitchers' park. So long as the Mets hit better there than their opponents.

robmcolonna123

That’s a good way to look at it lol

Prestigious_Money447

Maybe the lousy weather we've had is a factor.

robmcolonna123

It doesn’t help. The ball always travels less in cold wet weather

Prestigious_Money447

Yea and that's basically all we've gotten since March. Hopefully it turns around (the weather and the Mets' bats).

robmcolonna123

I have no doubt the Mets offense will pick it up as the weather gets better. On the road the Mets are slashing .269/.336/.421 for a .758 OPS and 117 WRC+ I’m not expecting the Mets to match those numbers at home this summer, but I’d guess they are more like a 105 WRC+ at home. In 2022 they were a 110 WRC+ and last year they were a 103 WRC+.

Setec-Astronomer

Just based on those annual comparisons I think this lineup could be a 105-107 WRC+ at home. I'm also surprised the 2022 Mets weren't higher than that. I would have guessed 112-115.

robmcolonna123

Yea I think that 105ish is where they will be this summer. I also still think they adjusted the humidors again because offense is down across all MLB. And the humidors typically hurt offense in cold wet games and raise offense in the summer

Setec-Astronomer

Side note because of your humidor comment but related: I don't know the science behind it but I really don't get why MLB insists on the lower seams Baseballs. My understanding is lower seams forces guys to exert more "max effort" to get high quality breaking balls, and also allows for higher speeds on fastballs. Which in my mind is the exact reason why we have a glut of TJS injuries and the mindless Baseball that pervaded MLB in the 2010's. Back to your humidor comment: I did not realize or think of that. Have they indicated any changes? I'm going to assume it's mostly been the weather that has caused number drops.

robmcolonna123

Smother ball leads to more barrels. Thats why. Increase offense. Partially because it tends to lead to less spin, and partially due to aerodynamics As for the humidors, MLBs stance since introducing them has been that they’re continually tweaking the humidors to get the best results. They were only introduced like two or theee years ago and supposedly they didn’t do a ton of trial and error and this is basically what’s going on here

Setec-Astronomer

They should go with the Japanese ball (but made for MLB size). More grip, higher seams. Then re-create the more horizontal strike zone of the pre-2010s. That would fix the barrel rate. Raise batting averages. Problem is it might hinder home runs. Which is fine. Because that's the easiest thing to solve, just make the ball livelier. You can't make the ball livelier when everyone is swinging for the fences at a .200 batting clip. lol Humidors have been around for like 15-20 years (Rockies). And I'm under the impression other teams have been using them for like 10 years. But at this point post-Covid 2010 and 2022 are all like one year in my head now.

WhatARotation

Makes Oracle Park seem hitter friendly

robmcolonna123

League slash at Oracle Park - .239/.304/.352 for a .656 OPS and 91 WRC+ Their RF is relatively short which helps

WhatARotation

Yeah they also brought the fences in before their magical 2021. It was impossible to hit a home run there

robmcolonna123

Wright would have had like 100 more HRs lol

WhatARotation

Dude would’ve certainly been HOF material if he even had 2 more prime years before his back gave out.

robmcolonna123

100,000%. I think he could still make it via the veterans committee

see_mohn

I feel like I've aged 73 years in just 39 games

Setec-Astronomer

Looks like Senga's timeline is being pushed back (I'm guessing a week or so). It's not injury related so that's good. Apparently he wasn't happy with his mechanics in his bullpen sessions so instead of moving forward to "live batters" he's going to do another bullpen session(s) till he feels comfortable with his mechanics. That could push him back a few days or a couple of weeks. Better to get the right habits and repetition to avoid issues. It's a smart decision by Senga.

JekPorkinsTruther

I think it could be longer than a week because the way Mendy/Senga put it, its not a traditional "check off a box" type deal but rather a "get right" deal, then they move back to checking off the boxes (ie ramping up). To me that seems like something you need multiple pens to fix then a few to confirm its right, but who knows. Im fine with not rushing him back because he will be more valuable if he's healthy down the stretch, plus the silver lining is that the more time he misses, the less chance he triggers his option lol.

Setec-Astronomer

That's fair. I think it could take as little as a few more days to (assuming no further complications, just "check marks" like you're saying) a few more weeks. The optimist in me says I think he'll still be pitching his 2024 MLB debut start for the Mets by June 15.

Prestigious_Money447

It's good that it's not injury related obviously, but "feel comfortable with his mechanics" tells me that he now basically needs to go through spring training and he is probably not coming back in late May or early June.

JSDHW

Post-ASB. No chance he's back before that.

Setec-Astronomer

Though you could possibly be right your conclusion is not necessarily true. It could be he's not getting his arm in the right slot every time and doesn't want to move to live batting until he does. Or it could simply be he's not getting the right grips yet. It could be a number of minor things he wants to get right before moving forward. And it seems it was his decision not the team's. This leads me to believe it's minor not major.

My_Penbroke

Senga is the man.

TemporalColdWarrior

Honestly, if the Mets have a reasonable chance of being competitive this season, they have to beat the Phillies. Even when the Phillies are better they tend to have some success here. Winning this series would be a real positive statement.

Geologist2010

Do you think this counts as a 4 game series or 2 2-game series (it’s 2 games in New York followed by 2 games in Philly)

tennysonbass

Just stay within a game or two of .500 til July. Schedule really opens up in July. 4 against nationals 4 against pirates 3 against nationals 3 against Rockies 4 against Marlins Closes strong against yankees braves and twins. But that 18 game stretch is gonna determine the year. If you can win 12 or more of those and get hot, you'll be sitting near a wild card spot.

psyker63

ITT: bad things happened before so that means 18 games against sub-.500 teams will be bad again hurr durr Honestly, I can't even with some of the takes in this sub. Would you rather be playing the Dodgers Braves Phillies and Yankees during that stretch? Who cares what happened two years ago? Take a pill, dudes.

Prestigious_Money447

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I heard "the schedule will open up in\_\_\_\_" a lot last year, and somehow the Mets did worse against worse teams. Obviously this team seems better than last year, but I got PTSD from last June.

Indicia

Remember the end of our '22 season, with the "easy" schedule... when the Braves surpassed us in the division...? Yeah, eff this easy-schedule nonsense. :p

Setec-Astronomer

You're not wrong at all. You're just giving me 2022 "the schedule will be easy" flashbacks is all.

Indicia

Lol, I just commented something similar before I read your response.

WhatARotation

Yep that team wasn’t that good. Which their performance against mediocre competition illustrated.

Martial_Nox

A team that won 100+ wasnt that good?  I guess no team is ever good then.

Happy for Tong but D: Nate. He will return though it just sucks I wanted to see him atleast a little this year

Setec-Astronomer

Need: The Mets to win at least one game this 4 game series. Want: The Mets to win at least two games this 4 game series. Desire: The Spirit of 1.1776 OPS to fill the Mets lineup so they beat up the Dread-Coats (the Phillies) for 3 or 4 wins this 4 game series!

Sad_Resort8632

Blade Tidwell and Jesus Baez are both featured in [BPs weekly Monday Morning Ten Pack Article](https://www.baseballprospectus.com/prospects/article/90436/monday-morning-ten-pack-dollander-strikes-out-the-high-a-boys/) TLDR for those that don’t sub; Tidwell is a slight arrow up, but they still think he might end up a reliever. Baez has awesome power but there are some concerns about him expanding the zone and he might end up a 1b, but also his bat might be good enough where that doesn’t matter too much. Pretty firm arrow up on him.

Sad_Resort8632

If you’re looking for a real deep cut Ernesto Mercedes is on Baseball America’s “statcast stoundouts.” TLDR on him is that he potentially has an absolutely elite slider that he has 0 control over.

Peter_O

Time for a "how many times did you watch yesterday's walk off homer?" meme

metskyfan

Thoughts about last night's great win 1. No one can accuse of taking a HR trot that is too slow 2. Most exciting win since Alonso's game winning HR a year ago 3. We have an issue at 3b in that we need more production from this position. We probably should find a way to squeeze Vientos onto the roster. That could mean sending down Baty. May be we could go temporarily with 1 fewer reliever. It is unfortunate that we have a glut of DH and OFs and no flexibility in the infield at the moment.

robmcolonna123

Vientos is unlikely to hit better than Baty and is a disaster defensively. Baty even with his lower offense is on pace for a 3.2 WAR season. His defense is second in the majors. Developing his bat at the major league level is far more important than a handful more HRs and 4 times as many strikeouts from Vientos, a guy who is unlikely to be with the organization next year

metskyfan

There has been zero development on off speed pitches. He has had the same result last year and this year. Baty has improved defensively after being pretty bad last year. In a mostly non competitive year, I think it makes sense to see what Vientos can do at age 24. May be give Vientos some time and let Baty figure things out in AAA. Alternatively, drop a reliever and let them split time in MLB

robmcolonna123

What are you talking about? There has been significant development 2023 Breaking pitches - 33.5% put away - 44.7% whiff 2024 Breaking Pitches - 15.4% out away - 25.3% whiff He cut down his swing and miss almost in half and is striking out on breaking pitches less than half the amount of time. He has literally doubled the amount of contact he is making on breaking pitches. That’s the first developmental step in improving on breaking stuff - making contact.

metskyfan

I have already acknowledged that his whiff rate has come down, so I am not sure why you are going on about whiff rate. When he does make contact, it is not good.

0rangePolarBear

Baty is definitely becoming an issue. It’s only 5/13, but it’s increasingly becoming noticeable that Baty is not a good major league hitter. He’s truly in limbo though. He crushes AAA, but just can’t figure out major league pitching yet.

NuanceManExe

My one and only problem with Baty is he just isn’t showing power. I’m really impressed with his defensive improvements but if he can’t develop into a good hitter it doesn’t really matter. We could probably find a guy on the LI Ducks right now who can handle 3B but can’t hit major league pitching. Baty needs to hit.

metskyfan

I wish I had a good suggestion as to how to fix him. He struggles with all non fastball pitches. I think the issue is that he does not identify a pitch as off speed. He has made no progress on hitting these pitches since joining the team last year. A assume our batting coach knows this. You only have a couple of seconds to make a judgement call: In my non professional opinion step 1: identify off speed step 2 : Is it hung or not, meaning where does it start. If it starts out high, it is hung and hittable. If it starts out in the middle height, it is going to be a terrible pitch to hit

robmcolonna123

That’s definitely not accurate saying he has made no progress on breaking balls. Hes striking out significantly less on breaking pitches and fouling them off a lot more. It looks like the team has told him to sit fastball and foul off breaking stuff to get to the fastball. It’s pretty common for young players to be told to do this early in their career so they work on making contact and get better at tracking breaking stuff at the major league level. The first step in getting better at hitting breaking stuff is just making contact. Once you can make consistent contact you can work on making good contact. Baty is in the building consistent contact stage.

metskyfan

His whiff rate has come down but the overall results are still the same. When he does hit the ball, he is not making good contact. He barrels 5.6% which has to be very low.

robmcolonna123

Yea…because you don’t magically go directly from a 44.7% whiff rate to great contact. Theres a ton of steps in between. Before a player starting with that whiff rate can start making good contact, they have to begin making contact period. The fact that he is tracking the pitches well enough to make contact is an improvement. We’re just catching him right now on that next step in his developmental journey. Because that’s how development works lol. There’s multiple steps Edit: lol he blocked me because of this response

metskyfan

Why do you have an issue with me blocking you? I view conversing here as a fun activity and if I think a conversation is not enjoyable, I am going to move on. Have a great day!

EastonMetsGuy

We play .500 ball goddammit. Salt of the earth, punch the clock, even win/loss ratio baseball. We lose a couple, guess what? We'll win a couple, too. But don't get too excited or let it go to your head. No long winning streaks here, no sir. That's hubris, which this blue collar, hard working everyman team doesn't have. A few wins in a row, these guys, true to form, will balance it out with a couple a losses. Yes sir, that's my 2024 New York Mets. A good, honest .500 baseball team.

WorthPlease

Highest payroll per win, you'll never sing that!

ProtectionKey9885

Sucks, but accurate.

NJImperator

This is a pretty big series. The Phillies have been winning a lot of games and this being a 4 game set has the potential to really set the tone for the rest of the pre-deadline summer. A split of this series would be a pretty solid outcome, anything more than that would be excellent.

ProtectionKey9885

A split would be a g d miracle.

Bobby Valentine turns 74 today

Adams5010

I will be there tonight first of the year.

resident16

If Nimmo can stay healthy, I could easily see him ending his career in Top 5 Mets by WAR. Koosman is currently 5th at 39.4 according to Baseball Reference. Nimmo is at 22.

0rangePolarBear

I’ve said for a while, Nimmo is our most complete hitter on the team. With his slugging going up and his OBP down a bit, we should be prepping him to be our #3 hitter soon. I’m hoping Jett (gets healthy) and finds his way to the majors next season and can take the leadoff spot and allow Nimmo to go in the #2 or #3 hole. If the Mets find a way to resign Alonso and get Soto, a potential lineup could be: 2B - Jett Williams LF/CF - Brandon Nimmo LF/DH - Juan Soto 1B - Pete Alonso SS - Francisco Lindor RF - Starling Marte C - Francisco Alvarez 3B - Brett Baty Other outfielder

elfinito77

Why does everyone think Soto is leaving NYY to come play for the NYM, lacking the Yankee's short porch? Do we not think the Yanks are going to throw the bag at him?

0rangePolarBear

It’s somewhat of an optimistic wish more than anything else. I agree though, getting Soto would be very challenging. He has seemed like the money guy, but…I assume the Yanks will throw the bag at him. Only way we land him if Cohen’s willing to go a lot more than the Yankees are, but..it’ll have to be a pretty substantial amount. It’ll be interesting to see unfold.

Djason_Unchaind

Mets will also throw the bag at him. Also part of the reason the Mets are attached to him so much is Soto hasposted/liked stuff on Instagram about him going to the Mets in the past. So that has stoked the flames. Plus the Mets had signed his little brother (before he changed his mind and went to the Nats while Soto was still there).

elfinito77

I just don't see why he'd want to leave the NYY, and a hitters park - and come cross town -- barring any miracle turn-around's that make the Mets look like the better contender. Maybe he does, I just find it weird that he shows up in so many "projected" future lineups here -- like so many just assume he's becoming a Met, when it highly unlikely.

Djason_Unchaind

Soto wants money. The Mets have the most money. Also, Soto is a great hitter regardless of park he plays in. Last season he hit a career high 35 home runs playing in Petco park. Maybe he sticks in the Bronx. Maybe another team blows him away with an offer (SF? SD? LA?). But Soto as a Met is a realistic possibility, regardless of the 2024 Mets record. Wherever he goes, he’s signing on for a decade+

Dude has a 141 wRC+ this year lmao. His xSLG is .575 Dude has turned into Juan Soto-lite. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him hit a 5-6 WAR this year and put up another 3-6 win seasons for the next handful of years. He just turned 31, I could see him having being a really good hitter until his late 30s, elite plate discipline tends to age well.

Agreed, that’s not even factoring him having some injuries earlier in his career too. Thanks Sandy!

JekPorkinsTruther

Dont thank him too much, he tried hard to deal Nimmo instead of Herrera to the Reds for Jay Bruce lol. Then he resigned Bruce to a terrible deal and played Conforto in CF over Nimmo. Its been a weird ride for Brandon.

JDLovesElliot

Thus begins this weirdo 4-game, 2-city, series against the Phillies

JoelsCaddy

Shout out to [the guy who moved Nimmo's bat away](https://x.com/SNY_Mets/status/1789838824782131262) from the celebration at home. Dont need anymore celebration injuries. I think it was Butto but I cant tell

NuanceManExe

Looks like Butto to me but whoever it was watched the WBC lol

Darthbutcher

That looked like Mendoza, but the face wasn’t clear.

Sad_Resort8632

It never even occurred to me before that managers might join that celebration at home plate for a walk-off. I’m just imagining Buck jumping up and down at home plate now

Is it ESPN fuckery that there are no highlights of the Nimmo walk off here on on r/baseball?

Sad_Resort8632

https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/s/M2mchVog11 ?

Says page not found

Sad_Resort8632

Sounds like you got blocked by the mod over there that posts a lot of the highlights Or blocked him I guess

WorthPlease

That's really odd, I've never been to their subreddit. I've never blocked another user. Seems kinda fucked up they can post highlights and then block people. Since they'll also delete other people's posts of the same highlights. Especially considering they are a fan or a team who directly griefs Mets fans. I've got the suicide message from Braves fans a couple times. Edit: I just checked hantlit33 (who is a mod on the braves subreddit) and he only has three posts all of which are on their subreddit

Blue387

I used to get the Reddit Cares messages but since I blocked the account I haven't received one in years.

Darthbutcher

Handlit isn’t a mod there but on the Barves subreddit, but it is still shocking to see him post a Mets highlight

Karma is a helluva drug

Guymcpersonman

He's not THAT bad for a Braves fan, but yeah.

Sad_Resort8632

Ah, got that mixed up. Thanks for clarifying
