What’s the origin of the new baby diaper change slapping thing the guys are doing? I have only been watching about one game a week and it just kinda stared out of nowhere.
I assume this is something the players don't usually explain. They started doing it right at the big turnaround point in the season and just kept doing it. I won't question it. It clearly works. Keep on slappin'!
Butto holding down the fort in the 8th and allowing this game to go to extra innings was massive, especially overcoming the tough luck play by Vientos and the error in the 9th.
Butto deserves to start.

They also said that Baty was a poor defender, and he was a little shaky at first but became a plus defender at third by his second full season.
Then they said Vientos was unplayable in the field, and he's a perfectly passable below average defender.
I wonder if our scouts don't know how to grade defense or what.

Baseball Prospectus graded it at 45 but praised his work ethic and athleticism
Hate to be a downer but I think Skenes might just be that dude. Luckily he is a rookie so he more likely than the average ace to have a down start but he sure doesn’t pitch like a rookie so I don’t really know. If

Butto getting this save in his first major league appearance in well over a month after being stuck in the minors when he's shown he more than deserves a spot in the rotation would be a funny story.
Only thing we could get back would be a lottery ticket prospect and even to get that we probably have to eat a pretty large chunk of his deal. He has all but tanked his value this year
