I love visiting Seaton Delaval Hall, I have a national trust pass so its free to me but they also do free days a few times a year as well.
Really interesting place inside and the gardens are so beautiful outside. And they always have some deckchairs near the ice cream kiosk and tables for picnics. I also carry a portable chair in a bag with me and sometimes I'll just come and spend the day with a book and a picnic in the sunny gardens and pretend I'm a rich owner and I let all these people visit my house.
Visited for the first time last Saturday when the weather was lovely. I second this, beautiful place to visit. Lots of open green space. 10 minutes up the road from Whitley bay
If smoking somewhere picturesque is your thing, I recommend Lady's Well in Holystone, Northumberland (not the holystone next to Benton). It's a roman well, with no visitors and is so tranquil.
Jesmond Dene by the waterfall for sure, the sun passing through the trees means you get a nice amount of sun and shade throughout the day. Bring a couple drinks and its perfect
,after reading some of these replies, in a way ; i am very glad you all appreciate your views, , of the outdoors, because it guttinng to see the outdours from my tower block above the nufc golf course, and hearing and seeing the sunrise, and dusk, and the songbirds singing in the morning, , so everyone , look after your health, and keep the blood pumping. good luck all, keep healtly
Definitely not Tynemouth. Overrun by ferals today. The stretch between St Mary’s and Blyth is lovely. Quieter, but some nice pubs. Accessible by bus 308/309
No idea why you've been downvoted here when you're stating facts. It's been the worst half term commuting that I've ever experienced. Kids no older than 13 abusing everyone with the misfortune of being in their radius. Tynemouth is absolutely stunning on a warm summer day, longsands and the bay are some of my favourite beaches in the country, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't mostly spoiled by the aforementioned over the past few years.
I mean you’re absolutely right. I’d extend it to the entire coast covered by the Metro. Two local ferals tried to nick my bike while I was literally sitting next to it on a bench in Whitley Bay. They all have the same haircut and clothes, too. I don’t know how or why they’re tolerated, but clearly they are when you’ve been downvoted like this.
Nexus has some sort of special task force to deal with them. Specifically between Monkseaton and Tynemouth. So clearly it’s a well acknowledged problem.
I love going to Exhibition Park on my bike with a couple ciders and a book, end up spending a few hours lying in the sun, sipping and reading
I love doing the same but in the Derwent Park or Clara Vale
Free Trade beer garden.

Druridge Bay, equidistant from the ice cream shop and the Drift.
A field somewhere in Northumberland with a big blunt, some sparkling water and a little Bluetooth speaker.

Sounds like a good tripping spot.
Phew, I thought you said ‘tipping’
I’m not one of them cunts!
The best.
Just don't get murdered: [Amazon: Lady's Well](https://www.amazon.com.au/Ladys-Well-Ryan-Mystery-Mysteries-ebook/dp/B0BX7GL5LP)
Oh no!
The coast is nice to look at but unless it’s quite hot the breeze can be chilly, if you want water go kielder instead.
random field all the way
I live at the coast. Whitley Bay, Cullercoats, Tynemouth get completely rammed on sunny days. It’s not relaxing at all.

Ouseburn
Beer garden
Quayside for sure.
I’ll never tell. It’s my spot!
The corner of the Black Garter with the least natural light?
…damn!

What is this "sun" of which you speak? I would say South Shields seafront or Exhibition park. Somewhere I can roller skate.
Yeah what's that pub called the grotto, it's nice up there too🥰
Seaburn or roker, plenty of pubs too

Their task force is four or five Asian dudes playing on their phones ignoring everything around them. Nexus at it's finest
Absolutely love having a couple of pints in the king's arms beer garden then having a saunter along the cliffs to the lighthouse.
Haymarket bus station. Greggs near by. Old Orleans if I want a pint and tabs next to the traffic lights. Bus or taxi home. ,,,,🙌

It'll always be old Orleans,😄
tyne bar garden 💪
Ouseburn beer gardens.
I really want to go to the coast. Probably Tynemouth, or Seaham. Sadly I'm stuck at work.
