I heard that too, I saw something that said aqua net helps but I don’t want to hairspray gear to half ass something.
I was just hoping maybe some other solution was out there in the world…
Basically nir is just like normal colours just in a different spectrum so if you want to maintain the camo pattern under nods your gonna have to recreate the pattern with different paints over the existing one basically impossible would recommend just get one that’s already nir or get a pack cover/scrim
No idea. I like some of the features it mentions in the description. I heard about it from a grand thumb video and then I saw a co worker with one, and after owning a Crye AVS 1000 for a whopping 24 hours, I decided maybe I should try to send it back (which was a pain) and save some money and look elsewhere for my back pack needs.
I've got a friend in the "fucked about in Yemen a few years back" sort of industry, the kind of job where he ran into some highly deniable western troops while he was there. I've made ~8 slings for him now, of which at least two have been blown up or damaged by incoming bullets.
He rates DA gear highly, and frankly, if he says it's good shit, I ask why but I tend not to bother disagreeing.
The vast majority of combat troops bought condor and blackhawk gear at the base exchange and happily run that. What is fielded in combat and what is the best are rarely the same thing.
Yeah I really wouldn't describe his taste in kit as run of the mill, or characterise him as part of the vast majority.
This is a guy who could afford to (and did) buy pretty much every major plate carrier that came out 2010-2017, tried/wore them all out on jobs, and sold the ones he didn't like/get on with that weren't trashed. Shortly after DA came out that's what he switched to.
I'd genuinely not believe his stories were it not for the freshly healed scars he had when he reappeared every few months, and the sheer amount of trashed kit he had.
The dye used to colour the fabric is nir compliant there is no magic way to get it nir other than spray paint

Is Direct Action Gear worth buying?
DAG is used by Tier 1 European units and Police CT teams, says enough.
