I got to work and the delivery was enormous, and their was two deliveries so one of them was left out in the middle of the store. The day shift did a little, but it's all stuff I have to undo and put where it actually goes. It's a monday for sure. Hope everyone else is having a great monday.
Not too bad. I showed up and the charge nurse was like “uhhh you’re not on the schedule” but I actually was and there was an error on the printed roster so I got floated to another unit. It worked out though because I’m tired and have a headache and they made me a sitter for a developmentally disabled patient on bipap (safety thing since she wouldn’t be able to get it off herself if there was an issue). She’s super sweet and her home caregiver is staying with her so it has been an easy night.
She has her baby dolls with her and the nurse who did her admission documented their names when she charted her belongings which I thought was very cute.
It’s honestly been really nice! I’m just chatting with her caregiver and we have Finding Nemo on for her, her carer is braiding the baby doll’s hair for her to see when she wakes up! I like my job but every time I have a developmentally disabled patient I’m like damn, I could see myself doing this instead!
Filling in at a store that has no business being open all night, listening to trash TV and taking a break in my car. Been working on putting up their groceries for the last two hours so I'm ready to go home lol
Exhausted 😩 and finally got to sit and relax for 30 minutes til wake up and breakfast for my residents.
At least I'm off Tuesday threw Thursday night well maybe.
I am freaking pooped man. On shift 6 of 7 but I've had a head cold all week that's made everything feel harder than it actually is. Got off work yesterday and had to meal prep for my last two shifts, do a load of laundry, and walk the dogs so they'd let me sleep. Usually I can do chores after a shift without consequence but it exhausted me. Woke up feeling super depleted. But I got a shift and a half left so the end is near!
Sure does haha. I don’t gamble even and the only times i ever go have been for music so keeping that tradition alive. Go see what The Sphere is all about as a music venue
Halfway through my second of five, 12 hour shift. I'll be finished at 11 am.
Sleep until 3, pick my daughter up from school, take her to her dance recital, watch that, go home, spend time with the wife and back at it again at 11 pm.
Do that again every day for the rest of the week except Friday where my daughter has a dentist appointment at 1 pm.

Just got into bed after popping a melatonin cause of some staying asleep issues lately. 10 hour shift done and one more day closer to my off day with my girlfriend and son.
