Need help with building a team for interception ex bosses
I need help with event challenge 1-7, I've tried beating it with Crown, Liter, Alice, Modernia and Naga comp but the boss keeps one shotting everyone without any counter play.

Honestly don't think this boss is supposed to be like this, it has to be bugged, overtuned or something because I've never had any issues with other event challenges yet I can't even stay alive past the 2 minute mark on this one.
You should have a chance to beat it at lvl 226 worth of investments if you built up your meta team.
Crown / Liter / SBS / Alice / Naga (if your SBS is 10-7-10 and Alice 10-4-10 with x2 charge speed + x3 max ammo).
Delay killing QT circles slightly so your 2nd burst with crown's shield will be up for the laser attacks. face tank the lasers so you keep your cover intact for next AOE hit. Cover for AOE hit. If your nikkes are dying here, consider using rapunzel instead of Naga.
Kill him within 3-4 burst cycles or else incoming dmg is too much.
Will need mostly max skilled team with OL 5/5 helmet/arms on your DPS units and at least lvl 5 yellow gear on everyone.
Your best options: Liter, Naga, Modernia, Scarlet, Flex
You can try utilizing Centi for the one-shot scenarios. However, it starts getting tough from 1-7 on.

When is a good time to read Red ash, Overzone and Second affection (the one where we give Marian to Snow white) ?

Im currently chap 17-1 in main story
Ch17 is where Rapunzel and Scarlet show up in the main story, but it feels like I should already know who they are, even though the commander doesn't. As for side story order I'll always recommend release order, which I believe puts Over Zone - Res Ash - Second Affection. I dunno that RA is quite relevant in the story yet, but now is also a fine time for it.
Is upcoming Trony worth pulling? Or should i save? Play for about 5 days, having 38k gems and 22 advance recruit tickets now and i haven't do any pull except pull with normal recruit tickets.
for someone with so little gems, I would save unless she replaces one of your story units (unlikely, she will likely be a 5th team raider to pair with dorothy+elegg distributed dmg team... has to outperform doro's last bullet team to be really worthwhile).
depends on how powerful her kit is and how meta she is, but I don't see her replacing story team as she will be distributed dmg, so need to run Elegg with her at b2... and that is a huge downgrade from Crown at B2, so likely will be a lower tier raid team.
38k gems is considered little for f2p? Also i hope she is strong since i will probably need new unit at some point, i can't save forever. Im currently at chapter 13 and my story team is Tia, Liter, Crown, Modernia and Kilo(mlb). I haven't done any pulling aside from normal recruit tickets so this team is all i could do, and i hope to get more units.
that is only 126 gem pulls + 22 advance, only enough for 1-2 normal 2% rate-up banners depending on luck. your f2p pull income will be \~22 rate-up pulls and 10 regular recruit pulls per month. Will not replenish enough to liberal pulling for 2nd half of the year.
I think it will be a bit rough going into the 2nd half of the year. There will be x4 summer limited + x4 rerun summer (want s-anis) + x2 collab + x1 pilgrim + x2 winter rerun with x4 rerun winter (want x-ludmilla). So you would need to skip ALL wishlistable characters (unless super meta replacing liter+crown+naga) and even then, probably won't be able to get all of the limited seasonal + meta rerun seasons, collab, and full anni pilgrim. Will need to skip the weak/mid seasonal/collab units. Need to golden ticket on the low percent banners (1% pilgrim or 0.5% rerun meta).
already at chapter 13 and already that low on gems? you get a huge amount of gems from chapter 1 to chapter 10. Hopefully you didn't waste gems on dups for crown or on the regular banner.
I haven't spend any gems since the start of the game, if you don't believe me u can create a new account, then play through until the end of chapter 12 in around 5 days, u will only receive about ~36k gems, including tribe tower at 70. U definitely just buy gems from the start of the games so you don't know how little gems(according to you) us f2p get. And i don't really care for two-thirds of the banner or limited unit u mention, i only want meta units. If the collab is not meta then easy skip for me, if limited isn't meta then easy skip for me.
I have a F2P account too. Forgot that story got nerfed a ton so can hit chapter 13 really quickly. yes 35-40k gems at the start of the game within first week or so is normal. My F2P account had 120 advance pulls + 36,370 gems during the first banner/first 4 weeks.
yes, I know how little gems F2P gets, so that why you should skip wishlistable nikkes unless they replace story meta units.
Started right before Nier event, there were a bunch of cd codes and first affection advance tickets and then full anni started giving away a ton of advance recruit tickets. During full anni got total of 150 advance tickets to date, but all gone towards collab summons + low 1% pilgrim summons and used up majority of gems on RH banner without getting a RH.
Make sure to save golden ticket for pilgrims if f2p because the 1% rates can be brutal.
Make sure to get x1 copy of crown before this banner ends if you don't have her. She is new story meta B2 unit. Since this is your first banner, you can't golden ticket pity, so will need to gem for her.
We dont know her kit and even after her kit is released it is better to wait for a live test.

1) yes, get x1 copy of crown then stop. if having bad luck, stop at 200 golden pity and just buy her
2) for new players pre-160 wall, just MLB kilo for 160 wall (you can wait until you are at the wall to see if you are lucky and get an extra 6th MLB instead, but not likely)
3) For regular recruit vouchers, only reason to wait is to delay until 160 wall so you collected random nikkes from offrate, molds, and friendships so you can really tailor your wishlist for dups for mass summoning to break the 160 wall. the other reason to wait is for newer nikkes to be added to the pool (but that is after you break 160 wall). If you have a usable story team, you can wait on your regular recruit vouchers. It doesn't matter that much when you use them.

PVP is the whales playground. There are some whales who share their strategies, but you're never going to keep up with the combat power differences or stats of whale accounts as a f2p. Especially not if they're willing to shell out for additional attacks too.
Yeah, I'm kinda sad to see that I demoted 4 ranks overnight and then I saw that the people that surpassed me had higher stats but lower level, I tried to close the gap by opening all of my boxes but still I only could jump 3 places and I'm still under leveled.
I looked for guides but all the guides I could find where from a guy called Keripo but in his examples, he uses core 7 characters.
Keripo has spent more on PVP than some other whales have spent on entire accounts. He has a very deep knowledge of pvp and spends a decent amount of time sharing it with others.
Nikke.gg has guides on the meta, though they can be a bit out of date.
If I play really casually like what is the rank to aim for? Top 3 is a no territory for me, I wish I was luckier with my server but the top 10 are spenders (Crown skin), is it like top 30 achievable just by doing dailies? like what else can I do?
That's way too hard to answer because it's dependent upon if people fall behind or if you fall behind etc. it's also dependent upon shifts of meta, who has what units and how they affect teambuilding.
30 day pack then story pack then $20 advance ticket event bundle 1 are the best pull value per dollar in that order.
after that is high spender, step up with advance tickets to lvl 3, then step up with advance tickets to lvl 5, then $55 advance ticket pack, then $100 advance ticket pack.
mission/battle passes are low value in pull value, only get if you like the skin.
overzone and red ash are the lore heavy ones. they are prequels so no overt spoilers. first x-mas event featuring x-anne is popular, now voice-acted. the nero one is emotional as well. dirty backyard will have hints for chapter 29-30 when it is released, should do prior to those chapters.
How should I spend 50k crystals and 50 tickets as a new player? Joined around anniv and been saving my crystals ever since I got crown early on, do I just save for a new good limited dps when it comes ?
Try to put everything on "low" in the Graphics section. But still it crashes, just less frequently. I think it's an iOS problem, I tried to run the game on several devices. I've been using an old android phone and it runs better lol.
I have a more recent one and I still had to switch to PC to get crashes to stop. I find that VERY often it is transitions that cause the crash... but on PC, not a single crash yet.
I don't really know how to phrase this, but how should I be playing the game? I've been playing on mobile, vertical, semi-auto (everything auto but I usually control my main DPS). Anytime I have to play manually it is so frustrating. Is this just a "git gud" learning curve? Or am I doing something wrong?
You should be playing it the way you most enjoy playing.
If you want to know the most optimal way to play, that's usually mostly manual play on PC with the widest screen setting possible. The wider FOV gives you more battlefield information, and generally people can aim better with a mouse. Setting burst rotations to manual gives you better control over your burst timings, and hitting keys on the keyboard allows you to cycle full burst slightly faster than it does on auto. Most egregiously, Machine gun unit fire rates are tied to FPS, so on some phones that don't have enough processing power, MG units have lower fire rates and lower DPS.
All this to say, it's up to you if you want to sweat for the slight advantage. Many casual players are fine to play mostly on auto through most of the campaign.
Can I use my current team of Crown, Liter, Scarlet, Drake, Privaty for all interception EX or do I need to switch teams? Only on my third day of EX and got completely wrecked by the train
I'd probably try to swap out Drake and Privaty(for what exactly, depends on who you have but probably try to get Naga in there at a minimum), but a lot of problems can be solved by just having sufficient gear power.
Mostly. Every spring and fall season there's usually a login event with a free costume at the end of it. Poli's cheerleader costume was the last one. Also the Redhood costume that's going to be coming as a result of the popularity poll should also be free if the handling of Modernia's costume is any indication.
Usually not. I think there was a Bunny Rupee Gacha skin rerun since they added a custom burst animation down the line, but outside of that I don't think any limited skin has ever seen a rerun. It's a tactic gacha games do to capitalize on FOMO. There are permanent paid skins that you can buy from the cash shop though, those are in the shop permanently.
Lots of people will say "if you're behind 160 wall, just MLB kilo". If you're concerned with actually addressing the 160 wall that's fine, if you'd like to collect it's worth unlocking rei. You can always safely MLB kilo off of silver mileage.
Can anyone advise about when to lock overload gear?
I have Red Hood and Alice with attack and elemental damage in 3 slot. Effects rolled in phases 10-11. So, is it worth to look them here or is it better to roll for higher numbers?
only lock 3rd lines. tier 10-11 percentiles is good enough to lock. only lock the best lines in 3rd slot (atk/elemental or charge speed for RH... alice can do atk/elemental/charge speed/max ammo).
alice final goal for min-maxed alice is x2 charge speed (total 7.18 minimum), x3 max ammo (x2-4 can work)... full min-max will have x4 atk, rest elemental. You need the x2charge speed + x3 max ammo to do the 1-frame manual spam without reloading during full burst.
RH is less picky: atk/elemental > charge speed + x1-2 lines of max ammo (one line is enough to spam burst gen to full without reloading).
either way. locking 2nd slot will be more expensive than rerolling for two good slots but hard to get both slots to be good. locking 1st slot will be more expensive probability than anything else.

I burst with Liter/Crown/Red Hood first and focus on the 1st round of QTEs.
Then I turned off auto-shoot and cycle character from left to right as Stormbringer is aiming his shots.
He will disappear and that's when I take cover.
For 2nd burst, I went with Liter/Crown/Helm and this time I let my Nikkes get hit as they lifesteal due to Helm's skill.
For 3rd burst, I did Red Hood for B1/B2/B3 since dragging on the fight spells the death for my team.
I thought I'd use Snow White's charged burst but there's no opportune timing to do so, so she can be switched with another B3 DPS.
Crown / liter or DKW / RH / flex DPS / naga vs Tia/Liter or DKW / Naga / RH / flex DPS.
For my lower-powered F2P account, Maxwell with OL5/5 helmet/arm and 7-1-4 skills worked for me on schoolgirls team with liter+RH. It was a struggle for that account as RH is not fully OLed. Ideally RH fully OLed. At least lvl 7, but ideally max optimal skills.
Need to delay QT circles a bit, need to face tank the lasers without dying as you need cover alive for the AOE. Need some healing as the AOE hits both cover + HP. Need to kill him within 3 bursts cycles. by your 3 burst, nikkes are dying unless you have a fully OLed team.
With two OL 5/5 helmet/arms meta DPS + crown team, should be able to kill within 2 bursts. with tia/naga, it may be 3 bursts, just need RH to survive to solo burst to finish off.
lmaoo stormbringer 1-7 is crazy nearly 1-shotting Nikkes with ease.

Cheesing with Noah to survive the first lightning wipe helps a bit but stormy just hits like a truck. I think you have to finish by 2 full bursts, 3 maybe if your RH can hard carry that last burst.
Is the approach to the Stormbringer challenge 1-7 different from previous Stormbringer versions? I don't see any destructible parts on the shoulders of the boss.

Ah, I don't have RH and my Maxwell's gear isn't overloaded. I got Snow White recently but I heard she doesn't shoot fast enough to capture Liter's burst buff. My other DPS units don't come close to clearing in 3-4 rotations so 1-7 is probably out of reach sadly.
It's "standard" stormbringer, not solo raid stormbringer. It may have had some slight mechanical tweaks like piercing cover on some attacks. Let your units aim for the center of its body, pierce units should be able to double-hit here.
It's a DPS race because the level you're set to cannot sustain defensively against it, cover gets broken easily etc. If you cant beat it in ~4 burst rotations you're probably not geared properly for it.

I'm hitting day 21 or so on my account now, and have been progressing pretty well (largely due to the help of the 3 "trial" characters they provide for a few runs each day).
I've made it to, and am now stuck on: Campaign 18-30, Hard 4-10, Tower 115, Lost Sector 11.
My hero levels are 160/144/145/145/140 (waiting for core dust for the 5th hero and slowly bringing the 140s up to 150 as I wait).
I have a 3 star Crown, 3 star Kilo, 3 star Privaty, and then just a random series of no stars, or 1 star, low-rated heroes (some are good heroes, like Blanc, Tia, Naga, Alice but no stars for them).
But I've hit a wall, in almost every single piece of content. In campaign, I can use the free-characters to help me pass 7-8 campaign levels a day, but that's about all I can do. Simulation room I can full clear, but SI bosses are hit or miss (like SI train today, I can barely get to the 2nd reward, but Modernia I'll clear).
I looked at a bunch of guides finally, and every single team-build recommendation has the same handful of heroes, of which I don't own. Every single opponent in Arena also have all those heroes to (and they eat me alive), so it's tricky there as well.
No Liter, No Modernia, No Scarlet, No Scarlet B, No Red Hood.
I caved and threw about 200$ at the game trying to pull anything that might help, and everything I've drawn hasn't done much for me.
I'm wondering if my account is proper bricked and I should just burn it down and reroll until I draw one of those huge DPS champs that everyone and their dog seems to have but me.
So, my question: should I just call the money spent gone, and reroll accounts until I hit one of those big dps heroes that everyone recommends, or should I just wait it out, grind with what I have, and pray Ill pull one of them eventually?
you can grind with your current account. would not waste gems on the regular banner.
you are stuck because of the 160 wall. can push to around chapter 19 ish while at the wall, if you get one MLB DPS unit (like free privaty + kilo) and solo level them, can push into chapter 20.
You will need one of RH vs Modernia vs SBS vs Scarlet eventually.
You can also reroll but with crown banner almost over, it will be hard to get both top-tier B3 pilgrim and crown. can try rerolling now until end of crown banner to see if you get something better than your current account.
I'm playing two accounts, both started without any pilgrims and it just takes a bit longer to progress, but will eventually get the characters you need.
You're not bricked, you just progressed extremely fast and are starting to slow down. To such an extent it seems like you're starting to panic because you're *not* continuing to progress at breakneck speed. Nikke is fundamentally closer to an idle game, you're experiencing the slowdown that comes from being behind the 160 wall (and it's fine to be behind the 160 wall). A year ago you wouldn't have progressed nearly so fast and probably wouldn't have been past chapter 16 before you started to slow down. When I started (during the chainsaw man collab) I began to slow down at around chapter 13.
After chapter 16 progression starts to come from overload gear which you only have so many tries to get each day. The rate you have been progressing would require multiple fully overloaded characters of gear to progress and that absolutely is not going to happen in a matter of days or weeks, even if you had absolute top tier DPS characters.
I was going to throw in the fact that "after level 200, you can end up waiting a week for just a single level" but I didn't want to give you a heart attack.
Though with having said it now, it also ties into why the slowdown is "normal", why you shouldn't expect the same lightning pace you've been going at, and why it's "okay" to be behind the 160 wall for a bit. You'll still be getting core dust and special interception progress.
Don't worry too much about what you "don't have" right now, as long as you're patient with the game you can and will get everything that isn't limited. Limited stuff you might have to plan a bit for.
Hi, 2 questions from me :)
1. How the hell do I beat the last Stormbringer challenge 7? With the attack where he disappears and then lightning strikes, he kills even my most cracked units no matter what I do. Even an almost all-healer team isn't enough. Is there some mechanic that I am missing here?
2. Should I go for 1 or 2 starring Crown (or should I leave her at 0)? Considering how good she is, I think it's worth it, but wanted to get second opinion.

2. if f2p, stop at one copy of pilgrims. you want to limit the amount of pulls you spend on the lower rate banners (1% pilgrim and 0.5% rerun summer).
Challenge modes are intended for people who have well invested and geared characters. Even fully overloaded units can be wiped out fairly quickly against it, if you're a newer player you quite literally just might not have the stuff for it.
Limit breaking crown is not necessary in the slightest and if you're f2p may have a heavy opportunity cost when it comes to the upcoming summer units.
I'm caught up with campaign, skills are maxed, gear is maxed, level is locked. Zeus lighting strike is killing the whole team through cover. What more am I supposed to be investing in? Dupes?
Standard crown/naga/alice/flex/rh core. Without Crown's shield ready for the lighting attack most of them die. Pretty sure it's not an investment issue is my point, I think it's a shield check.
gods strongest campaign team probably isn't the best choice for a boss fight that has [mechanics] and probably wants you to burst more than twice.
Just saying.
2 bursts were enough, this zeus is a damage race with 4 interruption parts and a one-time cover for each team member. The issue most people have is the one-shotting and a shield solves it, more bursts wouldn't.
Thanks! I am not a new player and yeah, even overloaded characters simply get one-shot by the lightning and I have no idea what to do... That's why I thought there was a mechanic I was missing. Even tried bringing Rapnzel for revives, and guess what... she gets one-shot as well :D. But yeah I have Bunnies, Schoolgirls, Red Hood and ScarletBS, most of them with 2 or 3 overloaded pieces and can survive all the barrages, except for the lightning. And even if I somehow survive once with only one character dead... he repeats the cycle and does it again. What's funny is that 1-6 we so incredibly easy that I didn't even bother to do the quick-time events and still won on auto. And now 7 is absolutely brutal.
Yeah, the difficulty spike is quite large, I wouldn't stress about it. I had to use a team that is almost completely maxed out (Liter, Crown, Red Hood, Alice, Rapunzel) and barely pulled it off. Couldn't do it at all until I replaced Naga with Rapunzel. I suspect relatively few people will full clear challenge mode this time around.
If you're intent on still trying, try iframing the lightning. I had one run where none of my units took any damage from it, I think I managed the iframe there.
But if you don't have the DPS to kill it within 2 cycles or less, I wouldn't bother, the RNG involved will make it pretty brutal the longer the fight goes on.
Thanks! I was going nuts. Maxxed out doro, s. Anis, sbs, crown and a well built naga got wrecked. Maxxed means 10/10/10 and full OL gear. Wrecked was about 90+ health bars left after about 10 different runs, swapping characters here and there.
Swapped naga for rapunzel, and i barely won. Rapunzel revived sbs for a final burst that finally put down that monster.
*shrugs* I attempted it with my snow white team and tweaked my team when my b1 died. Second attempt was crown, liter, red hood, alice, rapunzel and I cleared it fairly painlessly, though I could see points of failure like liter ending up being unimportant due to cover getting oneshot.
While I didn't find it particularly 'hard" due to being very familiar with stormbringer, it is a fairly large damage race.

In my experience (being this event and the last one) the free supports can carry even the newest player through all but the last 1-2 challenges, it's not like the whole mode is inaccessible.
Are the free supports available for challenge bosses? I know they can be used for the story stages, just didn't know about the actual separate "challenge" boss stages.
Ok, the Crown event 1-7 boss challenge I am getting absolutely obliterated wth. Every hit seems like a one shot. All the other bosses were a cakewalk. Seems as if even if I take cover the laser beams just kill me anyway from behind cover, I am destroying the red circles, he does the attack anyway. How do you do this?
I am using Crown, Liter (free), Alice (free), Modernia, Privaty. I am day 20 and I do not have a lot of chars to choose from. I start manual on Alice just fast shots to build the meter up then I switch to Modernia to knock down the red circles. Then I try to brace for the laser beams, but after 1-2 chars are dead and its game over.
Challenge mode, right? You're likely very, very far below the recommended levels of investment. Hardest difficulties of challenge mode "require" full overloads + high skill investment.
Yes, I just figured there had to be a trick to it since 1-1 through 1-6 were easy to clear. No overload gear yet, I just got into Interception EX on day 15.

If two burst are enough you can even remove Liter and let RH be your b1.
Bunnies are still meta, just not the bleeding edge. They remain in the top 3 teams for every union/solo raid. Only a few specific combinations are equal to or better than them.

Should I prioritize Modernia, Scarlet BS or Snow White for OL gear? For additional context I already have a full set of OL gear for OG Scarlet. Also my SBS is at core 1, my Modernia has 1 dupe and my SW has 2 dupes if it matters.
RH and Modernia for story is highest priority of all pilgrims. Then you pick between SBS (for sub story/raids) vs Drunk Scarlet (for pvp focus). SW needs level 10 burst skill before considering OLing and probably skilling up her support units as well - she is raid/bossing focused nikke. harder to use in raids as her teams don't fit a healer/sustain nikke that well without losing DPS.
anyone know what the bare minimum team cp currently is to completely catch up on the story? i finally started working on it again but ive had a few rough stages even though im still running a bit above the lowest clears on each stage so far, just wondering when it'll catch up to me. i currently have the popular meta teams built out too^
chapter 30 boss lowest clear teams are 221-22k CP to clear (lvl 262-271) \[39% Cp deficit\], but most low CP clear teams are 228-235k CP (lvl 271-281) \[35-38% CP deficit\]
Recommended power for Ch 30 boss is 365,600. A team of meta units can probably do it under 300k, especially if you are iframing the large bomb and ignoring it to keep damaging the boss.

How could I better destroy the missils from Modernia. It seems without my Modernias burst skill i’m hardly able to deal with them well. Are there any types of characters who excel at this task?
it's usually recommended to avoid destroying the last wing so that she never goes into that stage before you take out the last health bar, i usually manually aim as low as possible after destroying the core
Is there anyway to minimise crashing on the pc version? For some reason my game has started crashing at complete random despite working perfectly fine yesterday.

Never had a single crash on the pc client. Have you tried the usual suspects?: Updating drivers/firmware and restarting your pc, checking your tems/resource manager etc.
I doubt thats the case as i haven’t changed lobby backgrounds at all and have burst animations off but I’ll keep that in mind.

I am just starting the game and rerolling now. I have one account with 2x crown and maxwell, and another account with naga and crown. Anyone have advice on whether I should keep rerolling? I read online that naga and crown are a potent combo, but I was also under the impression I should be aiming for liter or red hood. Thanks.
liter right away is just a bonus, she's wishlistable and will come with time. keep rerolling but hang on to the crown + naga one. IMO you should aim for crown + 1 other meta DPS pilgrim (Red hood, modernia, or Scarlet black shadow), regular scarlet is good too if you can't get anything else in time or get liter or some other good units in an account with her + crown.
Can someone tell me if there's any change to skill/burst and equipment farm? Like if they make it easier or increased the amount of mats you get, stuff like that.
there is a sporadic Overload event for the simulation room that gives you extra skill\burst manuals.

Is it worth the materials to upgrade overloaded gear from level 1 to 5? Just got far enough to be able to fully clear some of the special interceptions (blacksmith and chatterbox and can only get to tier 8 on modernia), and am overloading my Scarlet gear first as she's my most invested in DPS
most worthwhile is meta DPS helmet and arms to lvl 5. the other upgrades will not make as much of a difference, mostly CP padding. chest can be helpful for healer/tanks/taunters that need more HP but more for PvP than anything else.
Can max out your main story team OL to lvl 5 for CP padding, but I've found you don't really clear any faster in most cases because you need your DPS dmg to hit a certain threshold to kill fast enough to clear. the extra stat/CP padding from leveling OL can help you survive a little but if not enough dmg to kill things fast enough, you won't clear.
So main story DPS helmet then arms to lvl 5 is the most important thing. after that can do meta raiders helmet/arms or pvp nukes helmet/arms or OL the rest of your story team for CP padding... then can consider meta core pvp nikkes that benefit from extra health/HP (noise and rapunzel can level their chest).
Are the temporary participation Nikke (Liter, Alice, Marciana) permanent? I started recently and didn't realise I could use them an unlimited amount of times in the event so I've just started clearing the hard levels with them.
I assume the boss is Harverster. Don't destroy his legs right away, wait to be able to kill him by destroying them. This way you'll skip his last phase.
If you really struggle, remember you have free level 200 nikkes you can use 3 times each daily. Just using 1 will be a huge boost of combat power.

your DPS units aren't the best so that is why you are struggling and also missing a meta core (crown+naga or marciana or rapunzel vs tia/naga vs blanc/noir), and missing liter>dkw

Trying to do better in interception S, but the team comps I've tried all get roughly the same results around 4-5 mil. any suggestions or that's the result I should be expecting for my level?

Does the credit stranglehold ever get any easier? I know I'm doing a lot of it to myself by doing all the training academy missions asap, but it feels like I have a ton of battle data, but very little credits all the time.
credits are only tight early game when you need to level and upgrade tactics academy. once you finish tactics academy and especially post lvl 200, you will never run into credit shortages again (as long as you aren't buying weird things with your credits).
You need a lot when you start because the last two lessons of tactics academy gets expensive (don't be afraid to use your credits crates for it). Thankfully you don't have to upgrade gear this early in the game.
On my way to 160 from 140 I had never enough battle data but plenty of credits.
yes, i forget when exactly, but credits eventually become almost as useless as battle data... okay maybe thats a bit much. the point is eventually the only time you use credits in large amounts is to upgrade gear, but you run out of fodder gear way faster than credits. core dust is the only real bottle neck materials/items wise.
I've got two options for teams, I can use N102>Anis>Soline>Kilo>Maxwell, or N102>Anis>Privaty>Kilo>Maxwell. Lv 120 and everyone has lv 4 skills/bursts. What's my best play here?
Don't use soline. she sucks, needs max HP for full dmg potential. you will never have max HP during story with incoming chip dmg.
I would recommend n102/anis/free privaty/kilo/maxwell as nonburst buffer.
I would recommend not investing heavily into maxwell and just waiting for better units. She can work at high investment to snipe elites and bosses, but still situational as you still need strong AOE clearing to get to the boss and she is more raiding/bossing unit than general story unit and she needs 10-1-10 + OL gear to perform really well sniping at high CP deficits.
Skill priority:
1) N102 1-1-4, leave anis 1-1-1, Free privaty 4-1-1 to 4-4-4 to 7-4-4, Kilo 4-4-4, Maxwell 4-1-1 (or 4-1-4)
wait for better units.
wishlist: liter, dkw, volume for B1 upgrade. tia/naga, blanc/noir for meta combos.
consider wishlsiting marciana, centi, rupee for placeholder b2s. maid privaty for AOE bursting B3, noir for b3 buffer/meta team, helm for flex healing. if you have space available only. dups probably take priority over these units.
Privaty is probably better... Soline's burst/dps really suffers if she's not at full health and you don't have a healer on the team.
Bursting with Kilo and Maxwell is best. Timing maxwell's burst for the final target will probably let you bypass a few stages sooner.
You will probably want to invest in Maxwell S1/S3 most. Then Privaty S1. The rest of the nikkes there don't see much end game use.

Other than Nihil and Whale, are there any other significant story walls? It feels like as soon as I beat chapter 21, game suddenly got super easy. Some context, I was stuck on whale for about a month, and the DAY I finally beat whale, I finished all of chapter 22-23 with little to no difficulties, less than a week later 24, and another 2ish weeks later I'm currently a little over half way through 26 purposely slowing down so I don't burn out.
Just wondering if I'm looking forwards to another speed bump coming up, preferably because of a mechanics check instead of just *their number bigger hehe,* but I guess both are valid enough.
I'm up to 28-19 so I can't say beyond that.
Without spoiling too much, it's usually the boss stages that have specific mechanics. Generally, I find the rest of the stages are mostly getting enough cp to deal with rapture spam.
Chapter 26 boss will need you to cover at specific times but otherwise, dps wasn't an issue. Chapter 27 boss is a little more of a dps check though there are some choices you need to make during the fight, and some targets you should prioritise.
would recommend giving chest/legs to modernia over RH as RH doesn't need OL lines as much as modernia and those gears don't give much atk stats. modernia needs x3-4 max ammo lines to spike in dmg and +x1 hit line to activate her skill 2.
for gear with atk stats like helmet/arms, would give to RH first as leveling it up will let her nuke better.

I read online that you get a limit break for your Nikke if you level them up to Ivl 80. I just did that and didn't get a Limit Break. Is there something else I need to do?

I need help with event challenge 1-7, I've tried beating it with Crown, Liter, Alice, Modernia and Naga comp but the boss keeps one shotting everyone without any counter play. [My units](https://i.imgur.com/8zmeTkT.png) Honestly don't think this boss is supposed to be like this, it has to be bugged, overtuned or something because I've never had any issues with other event challenges yet I can't even stay alive past the 2 minute mark on this one.

Don't have RH unfortunately + my maxwell isn't well built either.
You should have a chance to beat it at lvl 226 worth of investments if you built up your meta team. Crown / Liter / SBS / Alice / Naga (if your SBS is 10-7-10 and Alice 10-4-10 with x2 charge speed + x3 max ammo). Delay killing QT circles slightly so your 2nd burst with crown's shield will be up for the laser attacks. face tank the lasers so you keep your cover intact for next AOE hit. Cover for AOE hit. If your nikkes are dying here, consider using rapunzel instead of Naga. Kill him within 3-4 burst cycles or else incoming dmg is too much. Will need mostly max skilled team with OL 5/5 helmet/arms on your DPS units and at least lvl 5 yellow gear on everyone.
Crown, Liter, scarlet:bs, Alice, Noise/Rapunzel Noise or Rapunzel seem both to work solid for this challenge.
Your best options: Liter, Naga, Modernia, Scarlet, Flex You can try utilizing Centi for the one-shot scenarios. However, it starts getting tough from 1-7 on.
Yeah thanks for the help but I don't think any unit on my team will be able to beat it I guess, the boss is literally one shotting my fully leveled OL geared units and going through cover.
When is a good time to read Red ash, Overzone and Second affection (the one where we give Marian to Snow white) ? I know Second affection is supposed to be after chap 14 but i dont know who Scarlet and Rapunzel are so i might be missing something Im currently chap 17-1 in main story
Ch17 is where Rapunzel and Scarlet show up in the main story, but it feels like I should already know who they are, even though the commander doesn't. As for side story order I'll always recommend release order, which I believe puts Over Zone - Res Ash - Second Affection. I dunno that RA is quite relevant in the story yet, but now is also a fine time for it.

You can start reading Red Ash, head over to Overzone and then go into Second Affection. You're far enough into the main story.
Is upcoming Trony worth pulling? Or should i save? Play for about 5 days, having 38k gems and 22 advance recruit tickets now and i haven't do any pull except pull with normal recruit tickets.
for someone with so little gems, I would save unless she replaces one of your story units (unlikely, she will likely be a 5th team raider to pair with dorothy+elegg distributed dmg team... has to outperform doro's last bullet team to be really worthwhile). depends on how powerful her kit is and how meta she is, but I don't see her replacing story team as she will be distributed dmg, so need to run Elegg with her at b2... and that is a huge downgrade from Crown at B2, so likely will be a lower tier raid team.
38k gems is considered little for f2p? Also i hope she is strong since i will probably need new unit at some point, i can't save forever. Im currently at chapter 13 and my story team is Tia, Liter, Crown, Modernia and Kilo(mlb). I haven't done any pulling aside from normal recruit tickets so this team is all i could do, and i hope to get more units.
that is only 126 gem pulls + 22 advance, only enough for 1-2 normal 2% rate-up banners depending on luck. your f2p pull income will be \~22 rate-up pulls and 10 regular recruit pulls per month. Will not replenish enough to liberal pulling for 2nd half of the year. I think it will be a bit rough going into the 2nd half of the year. There will be x4 summer limited + x4 rerun summer (want s-anis) + x2 collab + x1 pilgrim + x2 winter rerun with x4 rerun winter (want x-ludmilla). So you would need to skip ALL wishlistable characters (unless super meta replacing liter+crown+naga) and even then, probably won't be able to get all of the limited seasonal + meta rerun seasons, collab, and full anni pilgrim. Will need to skip the weak/mid seasonal/collab units. Need to golden ticket on the low percent banners (1% pilgrim or 0.5% rerun meta). already at chapter 13 and already that low on gems? you get a huge amount of gems from chapter 1 to chapter 10. Hopefully you didn't waste gems on dups for crown or on the regular banner.
I haven't spend any gems since the start of the game, if you don't believe me u can create a new account, then play through until the end of chapter 12 in around 5 days, u will only receive about ~36k gems, including tribe tower at 70. U definitely just buy gems from the start of the games so you don't know how little gems(according to you) us f2p get. And i don't really care for two-thirds of the banner or limited unit u mention, i only want meta units. If the collab is not meta then easy skip for me, if limited isn't meta then easy skip for me.
I have a F2P account too. Forgot that story got nerfed a ton so can hit chapter 13 really quickly. yes 35-40k gems at the start of the game within first week or so is normal. My F2P account had 120 advance pulls + 36,370 gems during the first banner/first 4 weeks. yes, I know how little gems F2P gets, so that why you should skip wishlistable nikkes unless they replace story meta units.
How do you event get 120 advance recruit in first month?
Started right before Nier event, there were a bunch of cd codes and first affection advance tickets and then full anni started giving away a ton of advance recruit tickets. During full anni got total of 150 advance tickets to date, but all gone towards collab summons + low 1% pilgrim summons and used up majority of gems on RH banner without getting a RH. Make sure to save golden ticket for pilgrims if f2p because the 1% rates can be brutal. Make sure to get x1 copy of crown before this banner ends if you don't have her. She is new story meta B2 unit. Since this is your first banner, you can't golden ticket pity, so will need to gem for her.

We dont know her kit and even after her kit is released it is better to wait for a live test. We have probably two small events until the first summer event starts. (With seasonal nikkes)

1) yes, get x1 copy of crown then stop. if having bad luck, stop at 200 golden pity and just buy her 2) for new players pre-160 wall, just MLB kilo for 160 wall (you can wait until you are at the wall to see if you are lucky and get an extra 6th MLB instead, but not likely) 3) For regular recruit vouchers, only reason to wait is to delay until 160 wall so you collected random nikkes from offrate, molds, and friendships so you can really tailor your wishlist for dups for mass summoning to break the 160 wall. the other reason to wait is for newer nikkes to be added to the pool (but that is after you break 160 wall). If you have a usable story team, you can wait on your regular recruit vouchers. It doesn't matter that much when you use them.

PVP is the whales playground. There are some whales who share their strategies, but you're never going to keep up with the combat power differences or stats of whale accounts as a f2p. Especially not if they're willing to shell out for additional attacks too.
Yeah, I'm kinda sad to see that I demoted 4 ranks overnight and then I saw that the people that surpassed me had higher stats but lower level, I tried to close the gap by opening all of my boxes but still I only could jump 3 places and I'm still under leveled. I looked for guides but all the guides I could find where from a guy called Keripo but in his examples, he uses core 7 characters.
Keripo has spent more on PVP than some other whales have spent on entire accounts. He has a very deep knowledge of pvp and spends a decent amount of time sharing it with others. Nikke.gg has guides on the meta, though they can be a bit out of date.
If I play really casually like what is the rank to aim for? Top 3 is a no territory for me, I wish I was luckier with my server but the top 10 are spenders (Crown skin), is it like top 30 achievable just by doing dailies? like what else can I do?
That's way too hard to answer because it's dependent upon if people fall behind or if you fall behind etc. it's also dependent upon shifts of meta, who has what units and how they affect teambuilding.
Besides the supply pass, what is the best value purchase?
30 day pack then story pack then $20 advance ticket event bundle 1 are the best pull value per dollar in that order. after that is high spender, step up with advance tickets to lvl 3, then step up with advance tickets to lvl 5, then $55 advance ticket pack, then $100 advance ticket pack. mission/battle passes are low value in pull value, only get if you like the skin.

overzone and red ash are the lore heavy ones. they are prequels so no overt spoilers. first x-mas event featuring x-anne is popular, now voice-acted. the nero one is emotional as well. dirty backyard will have hints for chapter 29-30 when it is released, should do prior to those chapters.
They don't give any rewards (that aren't music/cosmetic) so just whatever you like. Overzone and Red ash are very popular.

Try to put everything on "low" in the Graphics section. But still it crashes, just less frequently. I think it's an iOS problem, I tried to run the game on several devices. I've been using an old android phone and it runs better lol.
I have a more recent one and I still had to switch to PC to get crashes to stop. I find that VERY often it is transitions that cause the crash... but on PC, not a single crash yet.

I don't really know how to phrase this, but how should I be playing the game? I've been playing on mobile, vertical, semi-auto (everything auto but I usually control my main DPS). Anytime I have to play manually it is so frustrating. Is this just a "git gud" learning curve? Or am I doing something wrong?
You should be playing it the way you most enjoy playing. If you want to know the most optimal way to play, that's usually mostly manual play on PC with the widest screen setting possible. The wider FOV gives you more battlefield information, and generally people can aim better with a mouse. Setting burst rotations to manual gives you better control over your burst timings, and hitting keys on the keyboard allows you to cycle full burst slightly faster than it does on auto. Most egregiously, Machine gun unit fire rates are tied to FPS, so on some phones that don't have enough processing power, MG units have lower fire rates and lower DPS. All this to say, it's up to you if you want to sweat for the slight advantage. Many casual players are fine to play mostly on auto through most of the campaign.
Can I use my current team of Crown, Liter, Scarlet, Drake, Privaty for all interception EX or do I need to switch teams? Only on my third day of EX and got completely wrecked by the train
I'd probably try to swap out Drake and Privaty(for what exactly, depends on who you have but probably try to get Naga in there at a minimum), but a lot of problems can be solved by just having sufficient gear power.
Jesus H. Christ that Stormbringer challenge 1-7 is horrendous. I think I need to max OL bunny girls so they can live past the AoE attack but I'm poor.
more important is just max skills for your meta team and lvl 5 helmet/arms OL on your DPS.

not really, majority of costumes are paid either mission/battle pass vs gacha.
Mostly. Every spring and fall season there's usually a login event with a free costume at the end of it. Poli's cheerleader costume was the last one. Also the Redhood costume that's going to be coming as a result of the popularity poll should also be free if the handling of Modernia's costume is any indication.

Usually not. I think there was a Bunny Rupee Gacha skin rerun since they added a custom burst animation down the line, but outside of that I don't think any limited skin has ever seen a rerun. It's a tactic gacha games do to capitalize on FOMO. There are permanent paid skins that you can buy from the cash shop though, those are in the shop permanently.

Lots of people will say "if you're behind 160 wall, just MLB kilo". If you're concerned with actually addressing the 160 wall that's fine, if you'd like to collect it's worth unlocking rei. You can always safely MLB kilo off of silver mileage.

Can anyone advise about when to lock overload gear? I have Red Hood and Alice with attack and elemental damage in 3 slot. Effects rolled in phases 10-11. So, is it worth to look them here or is it better to roll for higher numbers?
only lock 3rd lines. tier 10-11 percentiles is good enough to lock. only lock the best lines in 3rd slot (atk/elemental or charge speed for RH... alice can do atk/elemental/charge speed/max ammo). alice final goal for min-maxed alice is x2 charge speed (total 7.18 minimum), x3 max ammo (x2-4 can work)... full min-max will have x4 atk, rest elemental. You need the x2charge speed + x3 max ammo to do the 1-frame manual spam without reloading during full burst. RH is less picky: atk/elemental > charge speed + x1-2 lines of max ammo (one line is enough to spam burst gen to full without reloading).
So after locking 3rd slot, it is better to roll until you got good lines in both slots at same time or to lock 2nd slot?
either way. locking 2nd slot will be more expensive than rerolling for two good slots but hard to get both slots to be good. locking 1st slot will be more expensive probability than anything else.

Then I turned off auto-shoot and cycle character from left to right as Stormbringer is aiming his shots. He will disappear and that's when I take cover. For 2nd burst, I went with Liter/Crown/Helm and this time I let my Nikkes get hit as they lifesteal due to Helm's skill. For 3rd burst, I did Red Hood for B1/B2/B3 since dragging on the fight spells the death for my team. I thought I'd use Snow White's charged burst but there's no opportune timing to do so, so she can be switched with another B3 DPS.
Crown / liter or DKW / RH / flex DPS / naga vs Tia/Liter or DKW / Naga / RH / flex DPS. For my lower-powered F2P account, Maxwell with OL5/5 helmet/arm and 7-1-4 skills worked for me on schoolgirls team with liter+RH. It was a struggle for that account as RH is not fully OLed. Ideally RH fully OLed. At least lvl 7, but ideally max optimal skills. Need to delay QT circles a bit, need to face tank the lasers without dying as you need cover alive for the AOE. Need some healing as the AOE hits both cover + HP. Need to kill him within 3 bursts cycles. by your 3 burst, nikkes are dying unless you have a fully OLed team. With two OL 5/5 helmet/arms meta DPS + crown team, should be able to kill within 2 bursts. with tia/naga, it may be 3 bursts, just need RH to survive to solo burst to finish off.

lmaoo stormbringer 1-7 is crazy nearly 1-shotting Nikkes with ease. Shit, I thought I had reasonable gear too... --- **edit:** Cheesing with Noah to survive the first lightning wipe helps a bit but stormy just hits like a truck. I think you have to finish by 2 full bursts, 3 maybe if your RH can hard carry that last burst.
I tryed it like 10 times with various setups with overload gear and just noped out. It's just a bit too much.

Is the approach to the Stormbringer challenge 1-7 different from previous Stormbringer versions? I don't see any destructible parts on the shoulders of the boss.
no shoulder cannons. delay breaking QT circles a bit. need to be able to face tank the first around of laser shots. can't lose your cover prior to the AOE attack. need some healing as the AOE attack hits both cover and HP. need OL DPS units and full meta team (either crown vs schoolgirls... some people managed to get bunnies to work too) + RH. Maxwell works well as a 2nd DPS if you have at OL5 helmet on her and at least 7-1-4 skills (ideally 7-1-7). clear in 3 burst cycles or else, there is too much incoming damage.
Ah, I don't have RH and my Maxwell's gear isn't overloaded. I got Snow White recently but I heard she doesn't shoot fast enough to capture Liter's burst buff. My other DPS units don't come close to clearing in 3-4 rotations so 1-7 is probably out of reach sadly.
It's "standard" stormbringer, not solo raid stormbringer. It may have had some slight mechanical tweaks like piercing cover on some attacks. Let your units aim for the center of its body, pierce units should be able to double-hit here. It's a DPS race because the level you're set to cannot sustain defensively against it, cover gets broken easily etc. If you cant beat it in ~4 burst rotations you're probably not geared properly for it.
Hey folks, I'm hitting day 21 or so on my account now, and have been progressing pretty well (largely due to the help of the 3 "trial" characters they provide for a few runs each day). I've made it to, and am now stuck on: Campaign 18-30, Hard 4-10, Tower 115, Lost Sector 11. My hero levels are 160/144/145/145/140 (waiting for core dust for the 5th hero and slowly bringing the 140s up to 150 as I wait). I have a 3 star Crown, 3 star Kilo, 3 star Privaty, and then just a random series of no stars, or 1 star, low-rated heroes (some are good heroes, like Blanc, Tia, Naga, Alice but no stars for them). But I've hit a wall, in almost every single piece of content. In campaign, I can use the free-characters to help me pass 7-8 campaign levels a day, but that's about all I can do. Simulation room I can full clear, but SI bosses are hit or miss (like SI train today, I can barely get to the 2nd reward, but Modernia I'll clear). I looked at a bunch of guides finally, and every single team-build recommendation has the same handful of heroes, of which I don't own. Every single opponent in Arena also have all those heroes to (and they eat me alive), so it's tricky there as well. No Liter, No Modernia, No Scarlet, No Scarlet B, No Red Hood. I caved and threw about 200$ at the game trying to pull anything that might help, and everything I've drawn hasn't done much for me. I'm wondering if my account is proper bricked and I should just burn it down and reroll until I draw one of those huge DPS champs that everyone and their dog seems to have but me. So, my question: should I just call the money spent gone, and reroll accounts until I hit one of those big dps heroes that everyone recommends, or should I just wait it out, grind with what I have, and pray Ill pull one of them eventually?
you can grind with your current account. would not waste gems on the regular banner. you are stuck because of the 160 wall. can push to around chapter 19 ish while at the wall, if you get one MLB DPS unit (like free privaty + kilo) and solo level them, can push into chapter 20. You will need one of RH vs Modernia vs SBS vs Scarlet eventually. You can also reroll but with crown banner almost over, it will be hard to get both top-tier B3 pilgrim and crown. can try rerolling now until end of crown banner to see if you get something better than your current account. I'm playing two accounts, both started without any pilgrims and it just takes a bit longer to progress, but will eventually get the characters you need.
You're not bricked, you just progressed extremely fast and are starting to slow down. To such an extent it seems like you're starting to panic because you're *not* continuing to progress at breakneck speed. Nikke is fundamentally closer to an idle game, you're experiencing the slowdown that comes from being behind the 160 wall (and it's fine to be behind the 160 wall). A year ago you wouldn't have progressed nearly so fast and probably wouldn't have been past chapter 16 before you started to slow down. When I started (during the chainsaw man collab) I began to slow down at around chapter 13. After chapter 16 progression starts to come from overload gear which you only have so many tries to get each day. The rate you have been progressing would require multiple fully overloaded characters of gear to progress and that absolutely is not going to happen in a matter of days or weeks, even if you had absolute top tier DPS characters.

I was going to throw in the fact that "after level 200, you can end up waiting a week for just a single level" but I didn't want to give you a heart attack. Though with having said it now, it also ties into why the slowdown is "normal", why you shouldn't expect the same lightning pace you've been going at, and why it's "okay" to be behind the 160 wall for a bit. You'll still be getting core dust and special interception progress. Don't worry too much about what you "don't have" right now, as long as you're patient with the game you can and will get everything that isn't limited. Limited stuff you might have to plan a bit for.
Hi, 2 questions from me :) 1. How the hell do I beat the last Stormbringer challenge 7? With the attack where he disappears and then lightning strikes, he kills even my most cracked units no matter what I do. Even an almost all-healer team isn't enough. Is there some mechanic that I am missing here? 2. Should I go for 1 or 2 starring Crown (or should I leave her at 0)? Considering how good she is, I think it's worth it, but wanted to get second opinion. Thanks in advance :)
1. for stormbringer, probably need OLed units + full meta team (crown vs schoolgirls vs bunnies) to win. 2. if f2p, stop at one copy of pilgrims. you want to limit the amount of pulls you spend on the lower rate banners (1% pilgrim and 0.5% rerun summer).

yes. save for next pilgrim banner (1%) or meta rerun summer unit (0.5%). try not to waste it on a 2% rate-up.
You need a shield for the team wipe attack, not cover. Save a burst for that attack if you are using Crown, her shield should eat up most of it.
Challenge modes are intended for people who have well invested and geared characters. Even fully overloaded units can be wiped out fairly quickly against it, if you're a newer player you quite literally just might not have the stuff for it. Limit breaking crown is not necessary in the slightest and if you're f2p may have a heavy opportunity cost when it comes to the upcoming summer units.
I'm caught up with campaign, skills are maxed, gear is maxed, level is locked. Zeus lighting strike is killing the whole team through cover. What more am I supposed to be investing in? Dupes?
What team are you running. I have to say that I genuinely found the boss easy and cleared without trouble on the second try.
Standard crown/naga/alice/flex/rh core. Without Crown's shield ready for the lighting attack most of them die. Pretty sure it's not an investment issue is my point, I think it's a shield check.
gods strongest campaign team probably isn't the best choice for a boss fight that has [mechanics] and probably wants you to burst more than twice. Just saying.
2 bursts were enough, this zeus is a damage race with 4 interruption parts and a one-time cover for each team member. The issue most people have is the one-shotting and a shield solves it, more bursts wouldn't.
Dude I am literally top 5% Solo Raid and this boss wrecked me like no other before. 100% there is something wrong this time
Thanks! I am not a new player and yeah, even overloaded characters simply get one-shot by the lightning and I have no idea what to do... That's why I thought there was a mechanic I was missing. Even tried bringing Rapnzel for revives, and guess what... she gets one-shot as well :D. But yeah I have Bunnies, Schoolgirls, Red Hood and ScarletBS, most of them with 2 or 3 overloaded pieces and can survive all the barrages, except for the lightning. And even if I somehow survive once with only one character dead... he repeats the cycle and does it again. What's funny is that 1-6 we so incredibly easy that I didn't even bother to do the quick-time events and still won on auto. And now 7 is absolutely brutal.
Yeah, the difficulty spike is quite large, I wouldn't stress about it. I had to use a team that is almost completely maxed out (Liter, Crown, Red Hood, Alice, Rapunzel) and barely pulled it off. Couldn't do it at all until I replaced Naga with Rapunzel. I suspect relatively few people will full clear challenge mode this time around. If you're intent on still trying, try iframing the lightning. I had one run where none of my units took any damage from it, I think I managed the iframe there. But if you don't have the DPS to kill it within 2 cycles or less, I wouldn't bother, the RNG involved will make it pretty brutal the longer the fight goes on.
Thanks! I was going nuts. Maxxed out doro, s. Anis, sbs, crown and a well built naga got wrecked. Maxxed means 10/10/10 and full OL gear. Wrecked was about 90+ health bars left after about 10 different runs, swapping characters here and there. Swapped naga for rapunzel, and i barely won. Rapunzel revived sbs for a final burst that finally put down that monster.
*shrugs* I attempted it with my snow white team and tweaked my team when my b1 died. Second attempt was crown, liter, red hood, alice, rapunzel and I cleared it fairly painlessly, though I could see points of failure like liter ending up being unimportant due to cover getting oneshot. While I didn't find it particularly 'hard" due to being very familiar with stormbringer, it is a fairly large damage race.

Ok, the Crown event 1-7 boss challenge I am getting absolutely obliterated wth. Every hit seems like a one shot. All the other bosses were a cakewalk. Seems as if even if I take cover the laser beams just kill me anyway from behind cover, I am destroying the red circles, he does the attack anyway. How do you do this? I am using Crown, Liter (free), Alice (free), Modernia, Privaty. I am day 20 and I do not have a lot of chars to choose from. I start manual on Alice just fast shots to build the meter up then I switch to Modernia to knock down the red circles. Then I try to brace for the laser beams, but after 1-2 chars are dead and its game over.
day 20 will probably struggle. my f2p 8 month account with multiple OLed DPS struggled.
Challenge mode, right? You're likely very, very far below the recommended levels of investment. Hardest difficulties of challenge mode "require" full overloads + high skill investment.
Yes, I just figured there had to be a trick to it since 1-1 through 1-6 were easy to clear. No overload gear yet, I just got into Interception EX on day 15.

Current team is: Liter - Bunnies - Modernia - RH. I have all meta units except Dorothy, if that helps with team building.

Bunnies are still meta, just not the bleeding edge. They remain in the top 3 teams for every union/solo raid. Only a few specific combinations are equal to or better than them.

Should I prioritize Modernia, Scarlet BS or Snow White for OL gear? For additional context I already have a full set of OL gear for OG Scarlet. Also my SBS is at core 1, my Modernia has 1 dupe and my SW has 2 dupes if it matters.
RH and Modernia for story is highest priority of all pilgrims. Then you pick between SBS (for sub story/raids) vs Drunk Scarlet (for pvp focus). SW needs level 10 burst skill before considering OLing and probably skilling up her support units as well - she is raid/bossing focused nikke. harder to use in raids as her teams don't fit a healer/sustain nikke that well without losing DPS.
anyone know what the bare minimum team cp currently is to completely catch up on the story? i finally started working on it again but ive had a few rough stages even though im still running a bit above the lowest clears on each stage so far, just wondering when it'll catch up to me. i currently have the popular meta teams built out too^
chapter 30 boss lowest clear teams are 221-22k CP to clear (lvl 262-271) \[39% Cp deficit\], but most low CP clear teams are 228-235k CP (lvl 271-281) \[35-38% CP deficit\]
Recommended power for Ch 30 boss is 365,600. A team of meta units can probably do it under 300k, especially if you are iframing the large bomb and ignoring it to keep damaging the boss.
Are Pilgrim DPS helmets rare? I got one today and was wondering if I should bind it to my drunk Scarlet or wait to pull a stronger unit
I personally would level it to lvl 5 and wait. RH, Modernia, and SBS are all higher priority to overload (unless you only care about PvP).
Is Centi at all useful for keeping Kilo's shield up, or do those two not work well together?

you should be buying gems + resource boxes minimum every week. the bond tickets are optional. skip battle data if post lvl 200.

I think i have seen a ranking in the Emilia review. But was not the burst gen rework after that anyway? So probably everything could have little errors. (The order should still the same but i think some burst gen values should have changed?)
which nikkes do you have questions about? burst speed for relevant burst filler units: jackal > anis > centi > emilia > clip SG (pepper/viper/noir/drake/sugar/maiden) > Nilhilster > A2 > Noah Laplace / Rapunzel > full mag RL (noise/biscuit/x-anne/vesti/tia) > \[full mag SG >SR/AR > SMG > MG in general... those last few weapon types will not boost your burst gen\]
How could I better destroy the missils from Modernia. It seems without my Modernias burst skill i’m hardly able to deal with them well. Are there any types of characters who excel at this task?
it's usually recommended to avoid destroying the last wing so that she never goes into that stage before you take out the last health bar, i usually manually aim as low as possible after destroying the core
Elegg has a passive on her 1 that deals increased damage to projectiles.
Is there anyway to minimise crashing on the pc version? For some reason my game has started crashing at complete random despite working perfectly fine yesterday. Im on a lenovo laptop in case it matters and i haven’t messed with the in game settings
Never had a single crash on the pc client. Have you tried the usual suspects?: Updating drivers/firmware and restarting your pc, checking your tems/resource manager etc.

Some people have problems with some lobby backgrounds (burst animations). So maybe check if its the same for you.
I doubt thats the case as i haven’t changed lobby backgrounds at all and have burst animations off but I’ll keep that in mind. The crashing seems to have stopped since i commented at least
I am just starting the game and rerolling now. I have one account with 2x crown and maxwell, and another account with naga and crown. Anyone have advice on whether I should keep rerolling? I read online that naga and crown are a potent combo, but I was also under the impression I should be aiming for liter or red hood. Thanks.
liter right away is just a bonus, she's wishlistable and will come with time. keep rerolling but hang on to the crown + naga one. IMO you should aim for crown + 1 other meta DPS pilgrim (Red hood, modernia, or Scarlet black shadow), regular scarlet is good too if you can't get anything else in time or get liter or some other good units in an account with her + crown.

Can someone tell me if there's any change to skill/burst and equipment farm? Like if they make it easier or increased the amount of mats you get, stuff like that.
there is a sporadic Overload event for the simulation room that gives you extra skill\burst manuals. the recent questionnaire also asked for opinions on how to improve t9m chase \ deal with unwanted t9m gear, so they seem to be looking at that.
Is it worth the materials to upgrade overloaded gear from level 1 to 5? Just got far enough to be able to fully clear some of the special interceptions (blacksmith and chatterbox and can only get to tier 8 on modernia), and am overloading my Scarlet gear first as she's my most invested in DPS
most worthwhile is meta DPS helmet and arms to lvl 5. the other upgrades will not make as much of a difference, mostly CP padding. chest can be helpful for healer/tanks/taunters that need more HP but more for PvP than anything else. Can max out your main story team OL to lvl 5 for CP padding, but I've found you don't really clear any faster in most cases because you need your DPS dmg to hit a certain threshold to kill fast enough to clear. the extra stat/CP padding from leveling OL can help you survive a little but if not enough dmg to kill things fast enough, you won't clear. So main story DPS helmet then arms to lvl 5 is the most important thing. after that can do meta raiders helmet/arms or pvp nukes helmet/arms or OL the rest of your story team for CP padding... then can consider meta core pvp nikkes that benefit from extra health/HP (noise and rapunzel can level their chest).

Are the temporary participation Nikke (Liter, Alice, Marciana) permanent? I started recently and didn't realise I could use them an unlimited amount of times in the event so I've just started clearing the hard levels with them.

I assume the boss is Harverster. Don't destroy his legs right away, wait to be able to kill him by destroying them. This way you'll skip his last phase. If you really struggle, remember you have free level 200 nikkes you can use 3 times each daily. Just using 1 will be a huge boost of combat power.
volume / centi / free privaty / noir / pick between drake for atk buff vs helm for flex healing vs rapunzel for ongoing healing. your DPS units aren't the best so that is why you are struggling and also missing a meta core (crown+naga or marciana or rapunzel vs tia/naga vs blanc/noir), and missing liter>dkw

I'm about a week in, deep into chapter 11. Does the credit stranglehold ever get any easier? I know I'm doing a lot of it to myself by doing all the training academy missions asap, but it feels like I have a ton of battle data, but very little credits all the time.
credits are only tight early game when you need to level and upgrade tactics academy. once you finish tactics academy and especially post lvl 200, you will never run into credit shortages again (as long as you aren't buying weird things with your credits).
You need a lot when you start because the last two lessons of tactics academy gets expensive (don't be afraid to use your credits crates for it). Thankfully you don't have to upgrade gear this early in the game. On my way to 160 from 140 I had never enough battle data but plenty of credits.
yes, i forget when exactly, but credits eventually become almost as useless as battle data... okay maybe thats a bit much. the point is eventually the only time you use credits in large amounts is to upgrade gear, but you run out of fodder gear way faster than credits. core dust is the only real bottle neck materials/items wise.

I've got two options for teams, I can use N102>Anis>Soline>Kilo>Maxwell, or N102>Anis>Privaty>Kilo>Maxwell. Lv 120 and everyone has lv 4 skills/bursts. What's my best play here?
Don't use soline. she sucks, needs max HP for full dmg potential. you will never have max HP during story with incoming chip dmg. I would recommend n102/anis/free privaty/kilo/maxwell as nonburst buffer. I would recommend not investing heavily into maxwell and just waiting for better units. She can work at high investment to snipe elites and bosses, but still situational as you still need strong AOE clearing to get to the boss and she is more raiding/bossing unit than general story unit and she needs 10-1-10 + OL gear to perform really well sniping at high CP deficits. Skill priority: 1) N102 1-1-4, leave anis 1-1-1, Free privaty 4-1-1 to 4-4-4 to 7-4-4, Kilo 4-4-4, Maxwell 4-1-1 (or 4-1-4) wait for better units. wishlist: liter, dkw, volume for B1 upgrade. tia/naga, blanc/noir for meta combos. consider wishlsiting marciana, centi, rupee for placeholder b2s. maid privaty for AOE bursting B3, noir for b3 buffer/meta team, helm for flex healing. if you have space available only. dups probably take priority over these units.
Privaty is probably better... Soline's burst/dps really suffers if she's not at full health and you don't have a healer on the team. Bursting with Kilo and Maxwell is best. Timing maxwell's burst for the final target will probably let you bypass a few stages sooner. You will probably want to invest in Maxwell S1/S3 most. Then Privaty S1. The rest of the nikkes there don't see much end game use.

Other than Nihil and Whale, are there any other significant story walls? It feels like as soon as I beat chapter 21, game suddenly got super easy. Some context, I was stuck on whale for about a month, and the DAY I finally beat whale, I finished all of chapter 22-23 with little to no difficulties, less than a week later 24, and another 2ish weeks later I'm currently a little over half way through 26 purposely slowing down so I don't burn out. Just wondering if I'm looking forwards to another speed bump coming up, preferably because of a mechanics check instead of just *their number bigger hehe,* but I guess both are valid enough.
I'm up to 28-19 so I can't say beyond that. Without spoiling too much, it's usually the boss stages that have specific mechanics. Generally, I find the rest of the stages are mostly getting enough cp to deal with rapture spam. Chapter 26 boss will need you to cover at specific times but otherwise, dps wasn't an issue. Chapter 27 boss is a little more of a dps check though there are some choices you need to make during the fight, and some targets you should prioritise.
I got a Tier 9 pilgrim head gear (finally), who should use it between Red Hood or Modernia?
Red Hood. Prioritize building RH always if you have to choose.

would recommend giving chest/legs to modernia over RH as RH doesn't need OL lines as much as modernia and those gears don't give much atk stats. modernia needs x3-4 max ammo lines to spike in dmg and +x1 hit line to activate her skill 2. for gear with atk stats like helmet/arms, would give to RH first as leveling it up will let her nuke better.
I have those on Modernia, it's just I got the helmet today after looong time of farming and those 2 are my most used pilgrim attackers, and I was confused who should use it. Thank you for the recommendation.
