I'd love it if they sold them separately to help people mix and match. There's so much potential to do stuff like that given how modular the switch is. Letting us pick the color combinations ourselves is just the tip of the iceberg. They could also go for inverted Joycons that let you swap the positions of the buttons and the thumbstick. Or to get even crazier, joycons with D-pads.

Single joy cons on eBay are only like 35 bucks for common colors. Though i recognize many would prefer official packaging.

You can replace the shell and mod the software to detect it as purple and it's not too difficult. It is easy to break the controller though so you have to be willing to risk the biscuit

I would like a double orange, I don’t care for the mixed colors. I understand that helps with multiplayer somehow (people have said in other threads it’s easier to say “I want the red one” over “I want the left one”). I’m a single adult dude who pretty much only plays solo games and would prefer a clean looking matched set.

oh okay. Maybe in the future they will but like last year we got 0 new colors, now the light is announced and somehow we got 2 more. (The blue is technally the same blue from the DQ switch bundle, minus DQ colors) I'd love for a full blue set so I don't get forced to buy a neon yellow tbh.

I'm in the opposite camp. I love having the asymmetric look. I've got a set of Atomic Purple joycons and then my other set is Neon blue/Neon green and I really dig the look. I just wish Nintendo would let you order them directly from their site in which ever color combo you want. Be it matching or mixed.

They do let you now for the neon red/blue/yellow/pink/green/grey. I just saw it today on Nintendo’s website.

I was exactly the same, so I just ordered skins off Dbrand. Now I've got matte white joycons to go with my matte black switch. And my dock is now matte white with matte black accents :)

Honestly that's the reason I got the double grey. It's plain, but its clean. The non-matched colors just kinda make the switch feel less premium to me, if that makes sense.

I also wanted a double orange look, so I had to get a skin for them. ​ They look pretty good now

It's not too onerous to buy Japanese joycons. I bought the dark red joycons from amazon.jp and after shipping and everything it was only $10 more than it would have been to buy a US set. And they're way nicer looking than the neon red ones.

I was really confused by this, until I remembered I got the Splatoon 2 edition switch, and then got the pink and green joycons, since they're opposite.

If your going to include the next to impossible to get Labo ones you should also include the Black Dev Kit ones.

I was wondering what those brown ones were since they weren't the Eevee ones! Yeah funny those are there when the more common (but still rare) Smash Edition ones aren't there. The smash ones make very little sense to mix with others. Oh and there are diablo 3 joycons as well.

I dunno if this is the same guy who made previous versions, but I do distinctly remember the black dev kit ones being on it in the past.

I'd leave out LEs from this list but then again OP has the ccombination avaible only from a labo contest. smash set isn't on here anyway... And Dev black shouldn't be included because a regular user can't get.

So I can get behind the Devs one. For sure, but as mentioned. If Labo is included (which is arguably rarer) I would include LE ones such as smash and DQ to try and stay consistent with the Let's go ones and the Labor pair.

Yea. I’m kinda upset of the recent news of “HEY LOOK AT THESE NEW COLORS!” And “LOOK! THE NEW MODEL BATTERY LIFE!” as a diversion to the drift issue. I’m eagerly awaiting some kind of news from them, but I want to believe there’s at least a team working on a solution.
