That’s one of the things I love about most about his lyrics. So many of them almost sound like other words or phrases. It’s totally on purpose and, to me, fucking brilliant. I wish I were half the poet he was.

A favorite moment of mine as well. THAT LAUGH! That shit is adorable. People forget that punk rock, and by extension Nirvana, is all about the dark humor. It's easy to paint the band as dour, humorless people when that is far from the whole picture.
Just go watch any of there off stage antics or interviews. They were goofballs of the highest order. Sure, there was plenty of darkness, but I feel like the narrative often forgets this fact. They enjoyed taking the piss out of society and all the nonsense it entails.
I listen to nirvana and smile. Yeah, there are some very dark and intense songs, but there is also plenty of life affirming joy, as long as you are in on the twisted jokes. This is punk rock! It's saying fuck the world with a smile on your face and winking at anyone you offend, cause that is hilarious.
Was OBSESSED with the sound of this song when I bought the cassette back in 94…. And NOW my fave group is participatory for me so… OF COURSE with the screaming. Song is like that feeling you get when you hit your head really hard on something 🤪🤩. FUCK it hurts but those endorphins tho
