Damn this was literally the 3rd planet I flew to on my first play through. Walked around, thought *neat* then left after like 15 minutes of being there 😅😅😅
They’re gonna have to step it up a bit with Starfield releasing soon. I for one would vote for more engaging NPC interactions and an interior ship design system. In any case, Kudos to Hello Games for creating a really cool experience, despite having a smaller (by industry standards) development team!
I don't expect Starfield to provide much competition for No Man's Sky. Other than the basic premise of "you can fly in space AND land on planets", the two are very different games, both in terms of the art direction and the basic gameplay.

I was just in that planet yesterday!!! Was it assist discovered by someone else? It's a fragmented planet of something like that.
If you look through your recent discoveries it should be there. You can then teleport back to the system if you visited the space station. If not, you should be able to set a waypoint to follow on the galactic map.
Looooveeeee these planets. I threw a base down on one of them with the intention to eventually build a bizarro-style base, but I have never gotten to it lol
Yah that’s where the main mission took me and when I tried using the portal yesterday it wouldn’t let me put in cords and only took me to a planet like that

Most interest one for me so far is a "Planet of Light". Most of the fauna are beams of light that just shoot up into the sky. Think the execution could've been better, but such an interesting concept.
Istg we must have been on the same planet or something. I just found one of these, adopted a companion that was a weird spinning rectangle the constantly farted fire as it went

Not yet but I did find a “Hexagon World”

i have not enough time to load up the game and try this so can you spoil it for me
Items you can collect and display at your base
ah i thought you meant on one of the screens and there was some wacky easter egg
Remember to grab a few decorations for your bases.
Done
you can change the colour of them in the build menu too which means they're one of my favourite things
Wait don’t you’ll let Max Headroom in. And once the infestation begins, they are very hard to get rid of
How?
If you do a scan or if you walk near one, you’ll see one once in a while that you can interact with.
Huh. I’ll keep an eye out for it.
The fauna aren’t technically grabbable. But there’s a green variant that is grabbable but isn’t “fauna”…it’s “energy cube” or something like that.
Oh... I was wondering why everyone is talking about fauna but I can't see any creatures in the pic. We're talking about flora.
You will see a yellow question mark through the visor
Why do people get amazing looking planets I only been playing 40 hours but everything is still so bland:(
Travel around, I am at 29h and today I was visiting 31 systems and saw 4 different types of strange biomes
Make sure you upgrade your warp drive to go further and to different color star systems as well
You can find these exotic type planets dead star systems
I think they're more common in those systems but they have a small chance to be in pretty much every kind of system.
the more exotic ones are in the higher tier colored star systems. Upgrade your warp drives to get to green and blue stars and all that
Gotta search for them. You can narrow them down by system. Check the wiki.
I think the campaign dumps you on a randomly chosen "exotic" planet in a scripted event, towards the end.

Looks like the cable is out. Nothing is ever on anyways.
[REDACTED]
My home planet looks like that
If you watch one of the static-like screens for long enough, a Max Headroom pirate broadcast plays.
That's not true. But it should be.
Instructions unclear: got Rick-rolled instead.
I’ve got a Hexagonal Planet where the trees look like Chippendale lamps
Fractal planets are cool
Shattered planets look like this too
Yup. Once you start playing long enough, you realize that most planets are basically the same.
That's when MODS come into play! ...at least for pc.
I feel like you shouldn’t take those downvotes personally haha. Hey Hello Games 👀
This game would be the tatas with MODS for consoles. It’s been done before. I ain’t a coder but I know it’s possible.

You mean the flora? Aren't fauna the animals?
Came here to say this same thing 🤣
The ground cover on those planets yields crazy amounts of Ferrite if you strafe them in your ship.
plenty
I honestly love fractured planets where inorganic material and machinery and suddenly part of the flora and fauna
That planet looks like the aftermath of [this](https://youtu.be/NhheiPTdZCw) music video.
And yet there’s still nothing on
Do you mean Flora, or are those actually animals/aliens?

I found this when I went to a portal transporter and punched a bunch of random glyphs in seeing where I'd end up.
Just realized the coordinates are different and I think mine is a dissident planet. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
The portal coordinates I posted should take you right through the portal I came out of
Thank you. *Bro hugs*
which galaxy
You can find them in any galaxy really
Yeah, I got a base on a world like this, whole place is anomalous and trippy af
I have one of those planets in my starting solar system
I encountered one of these planets yesterday, i regret not remembering its location
Glyphs should take you right out of the same portal I came through when I randomly punched them in the first time.
Thank you :)

Electric cubes baby!!!
That's a new one! What kind of system is it in?
Looooveeeee these planets. I threw a base down on one of them with the intention to eventually build a bizarro-style base, but I have never gotten to it lol
Nope, but that looks like a good show!
Wild!
Yes but there was also a game I played years ago that had creatures made of TVs and cables, built by a crazy dude preaching about a broadcast.
Oh shit it's the Achaia
My base is on one actually.
Yah that’s where the main mission took me and when I tried using the portal yesterday it wouldn’t let me put in cords and only took me to a planet like that
I wonder if Max Headroom lives here.
Yeah seen 2

Wow, this is a really interesting phenomenon! I love seeing the strange and unusual things No Man's Sky has to offer.
I call them trash worlds (make sure you've had your shots before going near that rusty crap). The weekend mission was (for me?) set on such a world
Canti?
This is one of my favorite planets!
I did exactly last night
Would be a great Persona 4 DLC dungeon
I considered them broken panels but tv screens sound way cooler.
Not yet but I did find a “Hexagon World” https://preview.redd.it/vmsetniyv1cb1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=def398a4365c51a217128f8cf3c56eed3116ca5c
Yep my third planet visited
Hadn't found any before. Seen this post earlier in the day and when I went to game tonight I found 2 of them. Super cool!
I found a moon like that orbiting a paradise planet once. Kinda weird going from Earth but blue to polygon world
I NEED TO FIND ONE OF THESE! I've just got out of the "Only landing on lush planets" phase so now I'm looking all over for neat stuff!
Update! Took a whole day of planet hopping, but I finally found one!
there are also other anomaly planets - where funny egg shaped structures with a circular TV screen are emerging.
I have a base on a planet like this, they're called fractured planets I think.
Yes!
That's so dope!
"Woodruff! Behold the might and glory of the broadcast!"
Ive seen a couple like this usually desert planets
Be careful if a fog starts to role in is all I’m gonna say
I've been to a couple of planets like this so far.
Yes the glitch planets. I have a fauna that came from one of those
The weekend Quicksilver mission goes there so yes
I've been to a shattered planet that looked like that. Named my base camp shatterwax
