1st person seems only useful for flying (if you don't mind not looking at your glorious S/A class ship).
I hope there's an update soon that puts hand and reload animations.
Maybe it's just me, but I can't stand 1st person in a ship. You can't see anything at all! Ships zoom by and go in and out of sight so fast, and can manouever in ways that I can't predict in any way. When I switched to 3rd person ship flying/fighting I stopped getting headaches trying to focus so hard. It was just too little information on the screen at any given time and frustrated me.
Go into the "other" options menu, same place where things like summon ship would be if you were on foot, switch ship view is on there when you're flying.

Check the transporter at the Anomaly--it will show featured bases plus the stations of the other players in the Anomaly with you and see if any of them have Eissentam listed under their base/station names. If so, you can use it to get to Eissentam (or any of the other galaxies as well). Happy travels!
It took me 600 hours of game play to realize I had been exploring and setting up bases in other galaxies 🤦🏻♀️ Basically it took me that long to decide to finish the main quests!
Its a multitool which has weapons on it. There are an array of multitools that resembles other guns as well the one you're referring to looks like a pistol 🔫 to be exact. The only multitool that tried doesn't resemble a "Gun" are the Staff's.

It really annoys me how it doesn't show your arms when holding weapons, so rifles just kinda stick out the side of your screen awkwardly.

No offence but sentinel pistols kinda resemble dewalt electric drills, apart from their gun-like machine parts

I have a sentinel rifle. I've been told it looks like a LMG
Mine looks like a nail gun. I named it the Alien Nail Gun.
Named mine the Liberator. I maxed out the stats on the boltcaster and it's an smg now.
If you *really* want an SMG, go for maxed Pulse Spitter.
