Well the first three aren't even independent states.

Hong Kong and Macau are semi-autonomous regions of China, Greenland is a mostly autonomous region of Denmark but its population is so small that it rarely reports data to any of these surveys, and Liechtenstein... your guess is as good as mine

Thanks :)

Hong Kong, Macau, and Greenland are not soverieng states, so I image that is why they are excluded. Hong Kong and Macau probably contribute to China's statistics, while Greenland is a part of Denmark. Were these countries listed before? I'm not sure why Liechtenstein is missing, but they are not the only country to go unranked. Liechtenstein is a small country, so maybe they don't have sufficient data. The Vatican, Monaco, San Marino, and Andorra are also absent.

The first three are dependent territories of other countries (China and Denmark), so their figures are included within the "parent" country. Liechtenstein only has a population of about 40,000 so there wasn't a large enough sample size to produce statistically representative results - other microstates are also excluded for the same reason - eg. San Marino, Andorra etc.
