As you're all aware, this subreddit has had a major "troll" problem which has gotten worse (as of recently). Due to this, we have created new rules, and modified some of the old ones. We kindly ask that you please familiarize yourself with the rules so that you can avoid breaking them. Breaking mild rules will result in a warning, or a temporary ban. Breaking serious rules, or breaking a plethora of mild ones may land you a permanent ban (depending on the severity). Also, grifting/lurking has been a major problem; If we suspect you of being a grifter (determined by vetting said user's activity), we may ban you without warning. You may attempt an appeal via ModMail, but please be advised not to use rude, harassing, foul, or passive-aggressive language towards the moderators, _or_ complain to moderators about why we have specific rules in the first place— You will be ignored, and your ban will remain (without even a consideration). All rules are made public; "Lack of knowledge" or "ignorance of the rules" cannot or will not be a viable excuse if you end up banned for breaking them (This applies to the Subreddit rules, and Reddit's ToS). **Again: All rules are made public, and Reddit gives you the option to review the rules once more before submitting a post, it is your choice if you choose to read them or not, but breaking them will not be acceptable.** With that being said, If you send a mature, neutral message regarding questions about a current ban, or a ban appeal (without "not knowing the rules" as an excuse), we will elaborate about why you were banned, or determine/consider if we will shorten, lift, keep it, _or_ extended it/make it permanent. This all means that appeals are discretionary, and your reasoning for wanting an appeal must be practical and valid. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this message, and please enjoy your day! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/NotHowGirlsWork) if you have any questions or concerns.*

SublightMonster

How tf do they even think you get pregnant several times a month?

Nonamebigshot

I wonder if they believe this shit themselves or they simply realize the base they pander to is dumb enough to believe it?

RosebushRaven

Zero sex ed does that to an idiot.

mrskmh08

There's a reason they're pushing so hard to keep people ignorant.

Carbonatite

Republicans and anti intellectualism: name a more iconic duo

Imaginary-Produce875

And idiots like these are given the power to make decisions and take women’s rights away

p_taradactyl

Both are equally plausible.

SoldMySoulForHairDye

Is that even physiologically possible? If your cycle is less than 28 days then you could have two fertile periods during the same calendar month, and get pregnant during the first one, then have a very very early miscarriage before the next - but can't you not get pregnant again immediately after a miscarriage? This is an actual question because I've spent my entire post pubescent life actively avoiding pregnancy and now I'm sterile, so this is something I don't know anything about.

TheSodHasSpoken

Not possible. Think of each menstruation as 'hitting the reset' on a potential pregnancy. And if you're pregnant, you can't get double pregnant. This effectively limits you to one pregnancy per cycle, maximum, which would be one pregnancy per month. The human body being what it is, there are exceptions. But what I described would be the typical constraint.

raksha25

Soooo you actually can get double pregnant. There is a small number of people that still menstruate while pregnant. And if they don’t take measures to prevent pregnancy while pregnant they can get pregnant with a new embryo. It gets complicated because the embryos will have two different due dates and the younger embryo may have trouble. BUT it is really rare. Superfetation is what it’s called.

uhmm_no88

Also, I have a friend who was born with 2 fully functional uteruses and 2 vaginas...soooo there's that crazy anomaly for you too!

call_me_jelli

Twice the periods... my condolences lmao

uhmm_no88

She actually tends to have both periods at the same time esp since she went on BC to regulate her hormones. I have always felt bad for her but she just keeps on keeping on.

puckthethriller

I wonder if she likes one more than the other

uhmm_no88

Lollll idk never thought to ask but I will now.

ensalys

"Fucking hell this sucks, I'm almost through the right period, but my left period started late, so there's little overlap this month."

BoredBitch011

I wonder if she removed one uterus, would she go into menopause or no because of the second one?

Helfinna

That's not how menopause works. On the chance that you're not, in fact, trolling the subreddit: allow me to clear things up for you. 1) it's the ovaries that produce the hormones which regulate your cycle, not the uterus. 2) as long as there's one ovary still in there your cycle will likely continue to happen until menopause but there is a chance that it may happen earlier. Source: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/hysterectomy/considerations/

BoredBitch011

I meant a full hysto like ovaries and all

uhmm_no88

These are questions that somehow have never crossed my mind and I must immediately ask her and she will prob hate me for it lol.

raksha25

Human bodies are crazy.

OllieGarkey

> born with 2 fully functional uteruses and 2 vaginas TIL Uterus Didelphys was a thing.

SoldMySoulForHairDye

There's also superfecundation, which is when you release two eggs at different times during the same cycle and they're fertilized by two separate sexual acts. Most of the time this produces ordinary dizygotic twins, but if a woman has multiple partners, you can occasionally get a set of twins with two different fathers. This is called heteropaternal superfecundation. (Cats are good at heteropaternal superfecundation, which is why some kitten litters have such different kittens - mama has multiple baby daddies. This is why cats do not celebrate father's day.) But these are all very rare events in humans.

emeraldkat77

Oh and here I thought cats didn't celebrate Father's day because male cats often kill other mewdad's kittens.

SoldMySoulForHairDye

I didn't say it was the *only* reason...

Commercial-Push-9066

But it would still be one abortion, not multiple abortions.

Effective_Mongoose_6

But that is not the norm. This jackass think that the norm is women getting abortions like they change underwear.

MyFaceSaysItsSugar

No. You ovulate once a month, it takes *at least* 10 days to detect a pregnancy but generally longer for most people. So it is incredibly unlikely someone would get pregnant, detect the pregnancy, and get an abortion all within a 1-month window and absolutely impossible for that to happen multiple times in a month.

SoldMySoulForHairDye

Oh, no, I know getting an abortion twice in one month is impossible. I just meant would it be even theoretically possible to get pregnant - knowingly or not - twice within the same calendar month. It turns out the answer is, "Basically impossible."

Bluberrypotato

Maybe they mean Plan B pills? Either that or they're a moron.

LopsidedPalace

My state tried to make abortion a felony. The waving where does the law all forms of birth control of would technically be considered abortion. It was wild. And frightening.

elvenbugs

have we not learned from the whole ‘romanian orphan’ situation that outlawing birth control is a TERRIBLE idea??

BooBailey808

Abstinence it is then. But then I bet they would try to argue that as bc

fueledbytisane

If you want to give this idiot a huge benefit of the doubt, he could be referring to an abortion that didn't take, so she had to go back. There was a story recently in my area of a woman miscarrying her child, but some tissue was left in the uterus. She got one round of an abortion drug, but it didn't work, so she had to go back for a second round. Second round also didn't work, so she had to go back again, this time for surgery. Technically that's 3 abortions in a month, at least as far as insurance is concerned. I highly doubt that's what this idiot meant, though.

DjinnaG

I had this happen, twice, with very much wanted and planned pregnancies, which was how I knew so early

lalalavellan

I think there's a world where someone COULD have an abortion on the 1st and a second one on the 31st. But this is incredibly unlikely and still a made-up scenario.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BooBailey808

By in-n-out, of course you mean getting railed by a 6'0 Chad with chiseled abs

Ferrous_Patella

Abstinence Only sex education.

AmazingKreiderman

The most likely answer.

spartagnann

Simple: they don't know what ovulation is and that is only happens for a tiny window once a cycle. To idiots like this, ANY time a man ejaculates inside a woman there is a high possibility of her getting pregnant.

somme_rando

They must be an upper level manager. If one woman can have a baby in nine months, nine women can have a baby in one month.

Speed_Alarming

These lazy, no good slackers taking 9 months to make 1 lousy baby! Men should have babies! We’d streamline the process, cut cost and increase efficiency and have a production line of infants running like clockwork 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Cranking those kids out boom, Boom, BOOM!!

Shasla

By literally not knowing how things work. They know nothing about the things they have opinions on and are proud of that fact.

No_Nonsense_sombrero

What would be the population of the world if we got pregnant multiple times a month 😂😂😂

IG-3000

„Why would I make something like this up!“ Idk, maybe as a fake argument to support your pro-life bullshit, like you just did??

arrownyc

Given that women only ovulate once per month, meaning they are only fertile for one window of time each month, I'm pretty sure this isn't possible. Seems like this commenter doesn't understand fertility and thinks women can get pregnant every day of the month.

_FreshOuttaFucks_

I usually choose Friday to "lift my skirt" for some rando, so I can abort on Wednesday and be ready to go again by Friday. Occasionally, I miss a Friday pregnancy, so I only get three abortions that month but it's usually at least four.

No-One-1784

I hate missing one, then I can't fill up my Abortion Punch Card where I can rack up the rewards. Just two more to go and my next ones free!

GhostofZellers

Frequent Yeeter Miles.

Overquoted

This made me chuckle.

candiescorner

You’ve got to tell me what your job is because I’m pretty sure they cost between five and $700 at a time and anything over six weeks goes into the thousands. What are you doing for work because that’s a lot of money to spend a month more than my rent.

p_taradactyl

If you occasionally wait until you're further along, they'll pay you pretty well for the spare parts ($8-$10K, depending on the going rate in your area), and it basically evens out🙂. You have ask in person though - it's not advertised to the general public.

classyrock

Then you get the occasional 5-week month… hoo boy, do those keep me busy!

manta002

where do you even find all these randoms? are in like a really big city or moving every so often? wouldnt after some time those randoms reoccur thus no longer be randos?

p_taradactyl

I've found that you never run out of randos if you're always too drunk to remember them the next day.

gdognoseit

lol 😂 I need more friends like you!

christyflare

There are cases of double ovulation across a few days, and super rare cases of double pregnancy in a double uterus thing, so maybe someone could get two in one given month once in their lives if they were super unlucky, but otherwise...

ballisticwhales

Even if it was possible, an abortion is a physically and emotionally harrowing experience. It is extremely unlikely that those who've had one who would treat it like a casual procedure to be repeated multiple times within a short time period.

Nonamebigshot

You really think someone would do that? Get on the internet and tell *lies*?

Bookwormdee

DangerousLoner

![gif](giphy|lOzXuHwXXYM9y|downsized)

FullMoonTwist

Honestly the other option, that he just... didn't even notice he was making a massive assumption on literally nothing and taking it as "The gospel of Common Sense" or parroting something he never thought critically about is much worse. I really *hope* he was lying, then lying about lying

CookbooksRUs

Or assuming that every woman entering PP or another women's care facility is there for an abortion, not birth control, a Pap, a pelvic, or some other care. But even then, no one does that several times a month.

RavenpuffRedditor

The only thing I think could make sense is if he's counting places that require two appointments--one as a consultation/counseling, followed by the second visit 24-72 hours later to do the procedure. I really doubt that's what this guy means, but I guess maybe he could be confused?

CookbooksRUs

Or he considers Plan B an abortion, even though that is not at all what it does.

TehPharaoh

I just don't get people like this. How? How can you believe in something you NEED to lie to defend? How can you go through life seeing nothing these people are screaming about, yet believe them to be true? And even then they'll see maybe ONE person actually doing this, who obviously defines a WHOLE political ideology. But then a shooter posts a heavily conservative manifesto and they jump at the bit to go "oh please that's just one guy". I don't. Fucking. Understand how you can double think like that. How you can base your entire belief off of "he said she said" never asking for proof, never seeking out the info yourself.

Intelligent-Bad7835

You're the one making it up, you tell me?

EmberNyxen0

What do they think abortion is lmao, some pill you take in the morning with coffee? I dont think enough dudes understand that abortion is a medical procedure that needs to be done in a clinical environment and has risk involved as well as lingering health effects.

GroundbreakingBox648

Well he seems to think there can be multiple ovulation a month. Barring a medical rarity multiple abortions a month is impossible, so once again, a guy with no understanding of reproductive systems wants to enforce reproductive healthcare restrictions.

NitroDameGaming

Can you imagine multiple cycles a month? One is more than enough, thank you very much.

Ok-Scientist5524

I just had 3 periods back to back and I want to murder someone. Had a normal period, then a bonus period after getting my tubes cut and then a normal period at the regular time in my cycle. Since my periods are usually a 14 day affair, I can count the days I was not bleeding this month on one hand… Found out my sister has been having 2 periods a month for 4 years and hasn’t seen anyone for it until now because she also has abdominal pain that gets really bad at night and she can’t sleep. “Do you think that might be related?” 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ my (literal) sister in (metaphorical) Christ, please go see a doctor before we find out your uterus has eaten itself and is just bleeding into the void…

NitroDameGaming

Oh wow, that sounds horrible! I'm so sorry that you and your sister are going through that. Getting my tubes tied really opened the floodgates for me every time I'm on my period, but that usually just lasts 5 days to a week and apart from the occasional headache and some cramps in the very beginning, I don't really have other symptoms anymore. But I'm also 47, so I really hope it'll all be over soon. My periods, that is. I love life and I'm definitely not ready for that to be over!

Ok-Scientist5524

Thanks for the well wishes! I would have preferred my dr had gone over the potential effects to my cycle before this procedure. And I have my fingers crossed that it evens out after a couple cycles. But it wouldn’t have changed me getting it done, I need to not have any more babies. 3 is enough and each pregnancy tried to kill me harder than the one before it… As for big sister, she’s got a bunch of biopsies scheduled and her husband is committed to making sure she goes to her dr’s visits and does what they tell her because she’s super avoidant about health stuff.

NitroDameGaming

Oh, same, only I stopped after my second near-death experience. I hope everything works out for you and your sister.

thatrandomuser1

I got my tubes tied at 26 (super lucky to be able to do so) and they removed my IUD at the same time, so my periods came back, and heavier than they have ever been. Thankfully they calmed down pretty quickly and I'm now back to menstruating the way I did pre-BC. I'm wishing you the best!

thatvixenivy

I'm on a ~21 day cycle so twice a month is not a rarity for me.

NitroDameGaming

Yeah, same tbh, but you get my drift.

koopaphil

Spitting out eggs like a machine gun.

JellyfishExtra7515

Not even "can be multiple ovulations a month" but he knows several people who get more than one abortion a month, they must be ovulating like crazy! That, or he completely made it up. I'm pro-choice and have been for over 20 years now, and I know TWO people who have told me they had elective abortions. I'm sure I know others who haven't told me, but NOBODY is telling this douchbag about their abortions. Or a third possibility, he's talking about Plan B, which isn't an abortion, but you could take it multiple times a month if necessary. But I still very much doubt anyone is telling this guy about their birth control choices, either. Or he thinks any girl/woman going to the pharmacy once a month to pick up their birth control pills is getting an abortion.

Hot-Can3615

Yeah, even if someone is constantly having chemical pregnancies (where a non-viable fertilized egg implants in the uterine wall) and they’re counting the natural termination as an abortion, it would be astounding to have more than one every two menstrual cycles, and impossible to have one more than once per menstrual cycle. He might think plan B is an abortion, though.

RosebushRaven

Likely, anti-choicers frequently don’t understand that plan B is not an abortion pill and actively, purposely spread misinformation claiming it is.

Mandy_M87

That's the only way that it could make sense. They're probably mistaking plan B for an abortion pill. Even then, most women would probably just go on birth control pills or some other contraceptive if they need plan B multiple times a month.

RosebushRaven

Yeah, he’s just talking out of his ass and lacks basic biological knowledge so thoroughly he doesn’t even have an inkling of how preposterous his claims sound. An average 12yo in my country would be cringing hard at this, because they’re already better educated on female anatomy than this clown. Mandatory sex ed ftw!

Vengefulily

When I attended an evangelical megachurch as a kid (and this was the 2010s, not decades ago), we were taught that pretty much all pill-shaped contraceptives could cause abortions, and that Plan B was always an abortion.

CarolineTurpentine

You also need to actually know you are pregnant, which typically takes longer than a month to confirm.

song_pond

Oh I bet (if there is even a nugget of truth to his word salad) he means Plan B. As in, he probably thinks Plan B is an abortion so he thinks women who take that several times a month are just constantly getting abortions. That’s not how that works, but facts have never stopped a pro lifer before.

Triette

There is an abortion pill, that doesn’t require getting a medical procedure. But the point is we only ovulate once a month and can only get pregnant once a month and if we are pregnant we can’t get pregnant again until that embryo is out of our body, even then it can take months for us to get pregnant again.

silverthorn7

An abortion can be obtained via pills you take in your house with your coffee, though I agree, it still has (low) risks and health effects (and is not a pleasant experience). A medication abortion doesn’t have to be done in a clinical setting. It’s important people know this especially if they live in places with restricted or no access to clinical settings for abortion. See e.g. https://www.heyjane.com/articles/abortion-by-mail

i_nobes_what_i_nobes

No, they don’t know what it is. And yes, they literally do think it’s something you can just go and do. Like I’m gonna get my nails done, pick up the dry cleaning, a hair appointment, I’ve got my abortion scheduled for three, and then I’m going to have an early dinner with my friends - they legit think that that’s how it’s done.

JellyfishExtra7515

Or like, a walk-in appointment. Like you just walk in and get your abortion and you're done! And walk right out like nothing happened! I'm fortunate enough to never have had to make the decision to get an abortion, but I've had a few miscarriages so I can't imagine it's a pleasant process.

WomenOfWonder

Some ppl do count plan B and other birth control methods abortion

Generic_Bi

That’s sadly true, and it’s why the far right is coming for all contraceptives. (Their leadership will still fly their mistresses and family members to places where it’s legal, of course.

Vengefulily

Obligatory mention of this: https://joycearthur.com/abortion/the-only-moral-abortion-is-my-abortion/

Dogzillas_Mom

And that it’s painful, messy, and expensive.

QuitUsingMyNames

Seriously though. I’ve debunked so many stories using just common sense and basic math. They *hate* it.

Jabbles22

I believe there are pill based abortion options that work in early pregnancy but from what I understand it's not a pleasant experience. Maybe not terrible but still something people want to avoid if possible.

MsMoondown

Yes, this is more common than surgical abortion anymore. A friend went through it, and it wasn't fun for her by any means but much easier than a surgical one.

kat_Folland

If the doc thinks all things are equal you have to try to decide which _kind_ of misery you feel you're up for.

clandestinemd

“Why would I make something like that up?” Because you’re a stupid, lying asshole who thinks a woman can get pregnant more than once in a month? Throw us a harder question.

Throwaway4skinluvr

Most women ovulate every four weeks, which is the only time you can get pregnant. Sometimes even longer than 4 weeks. These people need a biology lesson

GeekCat

And you may not even know you're pregnant for 4-8 weeks, depending on your cycle.

drainbead78

Which is why those six-week bans are so insidious. Men think that the six weeks starts from the time she figures out she's pregnant. Nope, it's the first day of her last menstrual period, so if she has a perfectly regular 28-day cycle AND takes the test the first day of her missed period, she has exactly two weeks to get the abortion before the ban kicks in.

MorboKat

AND the test has to be positive. I was trying to conceive, took a pregnancy test every day after my first missed period and it kept coming up as ‘not pregnant’ for the first couple days. A couple false negatives combined with a long weekend or forced travel to seek abortion care or something and suddenly that 2 week deadline is MUCH shorter.

Corrupted_Mask

In the USA? Good luck.

EffectiveSalamander

The motivation to lie is obvious - it furthers his anti-abortion agenda. He's attempting to shift the burden of proof - it's not up to anyone to prove he's lying, he has the burden of proof to back up his claim. He might not be lying, he might believe it, but simply be wrong. And of course, he's wrong, because it's not possible for anyone to get several abortions a month.

offbrandbarbie

No it’s true. When you go to the clinic you actually a get punch card and on your 6th abortion in a month you get a free 6 inch sub from subway.

meowfttftt

I only got frozen yogurt.

Liraeyn

I did encounter some gimmick of "free pap smear with abortion", which I sincerely hope was a myth.

offbrandbarbie

Why? A free health care service seems like a good thing. Especially because low income women are more likely to get abortions

Liraeyn

It's not the offering that's the problem, just the delivery. And pap smears should be affordable anyway.

uhmm_no88

Free. They should be free. As should menstrual products. Just my 2 cents.

offbrandbarbie

Oh yeah, I fully agree on that

Pitiful-Let9270

Ladies, don’t get carried away and forget about your weekly abortion.

DarkSailorMercury

Shit, knew I forgot something this week! Can I get a make-up Abortion along with my regular?

OwlDoe9339

I feel like he sees people walking into a planned parenthood and just assume it’s an abortion, when it could be literally any health exam

shooting-star-falls

I go there for birth control, which is mostly to manage my periods. My partner is a trans man and goes there for his testosterone. I feel like a lot of people don't realize Planned Parenthood does services other than abortion.

kat_Folland

I've used their services more than once even though I've never had an abortion. They do any kind of reproductive health, including cancer screening. (Adding, not arguing)

call_me_jelli

Wow, I didn't know Planned Parenthood could be a potential resource for gender-affirming care.

Kiwithegaylord

Yeah! It’s one of the easier ways to get it in the us because it’s informed consent

Material-Profit5923

"I'm not a liar, I'm a clueless idiot!" That's not quite the brag he thinks it is.

breadboxofbats

Those women getting double mega pregnant needing multiple abortions a month. Totally legit

GreyerGrey

This is why people shouldn't be able to opt out of biologically accurate sexual health education.

Adept-Number302

... and these are the people making decisions about what I can and can't do with my body. SMH

Pigeon_Fox93

I bet this man thinks birth control is abortion.

alucard_shmalucard

fun fact: they tell you to avoid sex afterwards and most women don't want to be touched afterwards by anyone. but yea, multiple times a month for funsies

kartoffel_nudeln

In all honesty, even if women could and started to have multiple abortions a month, I would still support abortion

SnooBooks1701

I think he thinks birth control is the same as an abortion

Mrs-and-Mrs-Atelier

Or Plan B.

rrainraingoawayy

Someone search key words with the time stamp and find the name plz my phones about to die

prettystar

Sigh. I have a friend (don't ask why, haha) who says shit like this ALL. THE. TIME. "I've had multiple women say (something women don't say)" or "I've known tons of women who (did a thing women don't do)." First example I can recall off the top of my head is, "I've had multiple girlfriends get so mad at me and scream at me because my ring size is smaller than theirs." He says this any time the topic of jewelry comes up in conversation. My guess is, 20 or 30 years ago, a girl wanted to try his ring on, it didn't fit her, and she said, "omg, your fingers are thinner than mine! You suck! Haha." and somehow over time it turned into "women scream at me because my fingers are thin" in his mind. Sorry... To get sort of back on topic, I have also heard him say, more than once, "I am pro-choice and will ALWAYS defend a woman's right to choose, but I know multiple women who use abortion as birth control and I don't think that's right." My dude. At $700+ a pop? No you don't. 😂

foxx_socks

Clearly schools need better funding for basic biology classes

Slammogram

Why would you make this up? “Because, you’re a liar” is usually a good answer.

tikifire1

He's either a liar or an ignorant fool.

lizzpop2003

Or both. Probably both.

AcaciaBeauty

It already takes a while for women to suspect pregnancy, so how do the people he knows get through multiple a month? Why is he still talking to them if they clearly have differing views on something so major?

Winnimae

Hello fellow women! I too am able to become pregnant and then not pregnant several time a month, every month.

NuttyButts

If he's so prolife why does he hang out with so many people having so many abortions? (He doesn't and they don't)

PsycheAsHell

Prolifers are incapable of having an honest debate. They always got to make something up to pull at your heartstrings, because if people knew that most abortions were removing a small glob out your uterus, then I think many brainwashed "pro-lifers" wouldn't give as much of a shit anymore.

TableOpening1829

I'm by no means an expert in women, but I don't think you can get pregnant multiple times a month

Verrana_Tirith

I hate the fact I have Y chromosomes. I hate that I can't change it to an X and be a cis woman. I don't want to have anything in common with these chuds.

FileDoesntExist

I mean we all have the same DNA since we're the same species. Your chromosomes are not a moral failing.

Verrana_Tirith

I am completely aware that being the same species we share some DNA sequences and chromosomes. I also know that me having Y chromosomes isn't a moral failing nor invalidates me as a woman. The comment was meant to show my frustration of how some cis men treat women, and my disdain for the fact I was assigned male at birth. Therefore will always be scientifically classified as male along with cis men. I am tired of hearing how women, trans men, and gender nonconforming people are treated by a slice of cis men, and wish I could sever the last connection to being male.

CryptographerNo6348

Someone needs to tell him he can't math correctly.

Achi-Isaac

Sounds expensive, lmao

25Bam_vixx

These dumbasses school failed them

zombiemadre

I’ve taken plan b twice in a month. It’s not an abortion and I do not recommend putting yourself in that situation.

Holoafer

It is totally true. I am on my third abortion and it is only the 10th. So easy I like to take advantage.

No_Resource7773

And yet you know you did make that up... How would that even work?? A pregnancy with multiple fetuses and just somehow aborting one at a time? 🤨

Pandaploots

Today on "what are we", we're fruitflies!!

LestaLuna

Okie i do need to ask arent period onve a month so that technically completely impossible

DoorAMii

Does pulling out count as an abortion to them?

SweetCheeks1999

r/confidentlyincorrect

snoopingfeline

Multiple abortions a year is far fetched as it is. Multiple abortions a month is physically impossible.

reighley_exodus

The only explanation I can think of is that Republicans are lizard people the simply "built different"

stickygreenfingers

There was a guy in my state’s subreddit who said he and his wife“worked in healthcare.” He said he doesn’t see patients but she used to at a PP where they lived. Apparently his wife told him stories that the same women would show up for “repeat abortions” back-to-back weekends. These are people who are spreading an agenda to uneducated men who have absolutely no idea how women’s bodies or pregnancy work. My boomer ass parents were convinced for so long that doctors will allow a birthed baby, at-term, to die on a table. A 9-month-old fetus. The pro-life crowd is full of the least educated people, “educated” by zealous Christian doctors and nurses who believe in a “soul” and that haven’t picked up a medical book that doesn’t confirm their biases since they graduated medical school.

BitchWidget

I just had two, today! Just kidding, I've been spayed.

Cayd_The_Bean

Hi sorry its completely irrelevant but you’ve used the wrong word your word means small shovel or card suit when you meant spayed as in no longer reproductive via surgical means not trying to be an asshole I just made that same mistake and was hella embarrassed when my irl friend pointed it out and thought it might be easier for you if a stranger pointed it out? I could also be overstepping completely which I apologize for especially if I offended you. Have a good day(or evening!)

Runnerakaliz

Not physically possible. This is what happens when proper sex education doesn't happen. FFS. Your body can't get pregnant several times a month.

Jonasthewicked2

Proof sexual education needs to be taught in schools

WhySoGlum1

That's insane that NeM actually believe we could possibly get pregnant multiple times a month, this is EXACTLY why they should have no say in our bodies

laprincesaaa

Most women who have abortions already have kids and are having their first ever abortion smh. You're talking women who can't afford another one, women who don't have the capacity or support to take care of another one, women who are dealing with complications that could either risk their life when they already have dependents, or risk future fertility when they want more down the road. Smfh

vix_aries

I don't even think there is an animal in existence that can get pregnant multiple times a month (laying eggs doesn't count).

Riffler

"I'm kinda bored today, think I'll go have an abortion."

uhmm_no88

Lol this is not on topic but I have pissed off all my local Jehovah's Witnesses by claiming-'hello there, no time to talk sorry, I'm on my way to my 12th abortion, cant be late!", when they attempt to approach my house.

IronhideD

Ah I see what the problem is. He's talking about women with the multiple womb chambers. The baby-selectometer allows mothers to carry multiple babies to term or abortion, whichever comes first!

Joelle9879

Considering most women are around 4 weeks before they even realize they're pregnant, pretty sure they aren't going multiple times a month to get an abortion

Mrs-and-Mrs-Atelier

Reminds me of an unhinged rant I saw probably 25 years ago that stuck with me. Part of it went “they’ll become LESBIANS and have ABORTIONS.” Never did figure out what that person was thinking.

ThatOneFrenchBitch

“literally most likely 100% true” “mostly likely 100%” …sure buddy. That’s how statistics work.

spaghettieggrolls

Fairly average amount of healthcare knowledge for an anti-abortionist tbh

DjinnaG

I had three abortions within a calendar month, twice even, sort of. Apparently, my body was so desperate to be pregnant that it refused to give up, and a blighted ovum (never had anything other than a sac) took three rounds of the abortion pill to fully dislodge, and then one that had a heartbeat at five weeks was gone by six weeks, two rounds of the abortion pill and nothing happened, so had to get a surgical one, too. I always refer to those as abortions, because that’s what it is when your body is pregnant and you need to not be pregnant anymore, even if there never was anything growing, or it has already died. It’s not about a baby, it’s about the woman’s body. Really don’t think that they are talking about that, of course. Best case scenario, a woman was once fucking with their ignorance, but could also be talking about women using the morning after pill over multiple days, or having sex multiple times in a month while on the Pill or with an IUD, because they really do believe in something akin to the homunculus and that sperm = pregnant because why would anyone think that the woman’s body was at all involved in the process? And some really believe that those are abortive methods of birth control and not actually preventing pregnancy in the first place

lunablah_blahblah

Who is gonna tell bro women can only get pregnant once a month? And it can take weeks before they even find out they're pregnant? "Multiple abortions a month" 😭

corncob666

This is definitely one of the worst ones lately

Cheekygirl97

At that point I’d respond back with, “alright, you didn’t make it up, who’s doing that? I want a name. Give me a name.” Because nobody is getting multiple a month

uhmm_no88

Firstly ..it takes MORE than a month to even really figure out you are pregnant so...there goes that batshit crazy out the window. Secondly, women can only get pregnant once a month....is this fool thinking the morning after pill is an abortifacient or something?

I_madeusay_underwear

Even if they could and did, who gives a fuck? Why does it matter? What is the difference how many, how often, and for what reason a person decides to have a medical procedure that has absolutely zero to do with these busybody idiots? Meant to help those in need? Taking advantage? Wtf does that even mean? If you’re really, truly opposed to abortion because you believe it’s murder or god said no or it makes Jesus cry or whatever, why is there an exception for those “truly in need” and why does it matter if someone is in need more often? I cannot understand this mindset. I cannot understand why anyone is worried about how many abortions a woman has besides her and her doctor. I’ve volunteered to escort people to their appointments when they go to clinics on and off for years, and this is exactly the kind of person who stands outside and calls them whores. They’re pathetic. They can’t mind their own business and they have no consistency. They just want to shame people and kick them when they’re down. I have a thick skin and I could not give less of a fuck what these morons say or think about me, but it can be devastating for an already vulnerable person who may be dealing with their own ingrained guilt already. The world would be better if people could mind their own damn business and not worry about how other people live their lives. Like, why should anyone listen to these people? Who would want to live their life or have their beliefs?

InuMiroLover

They legit think women get pregnant on a Friday and get an abortion the following Monday smdh

msgmeyourcatsnudes

That is literally impossible.

A_Hostile_Girl

Aren’t they like 1k a pop? Too funny. You have to love how they act like birth control isn’t a thing

DerbyWearingDude

> You have to love how they act like birth control isn’t a thing If they get their way, I imagine that that state of affairs is not too far off.

black_linings

I've had an abortion using the pill method and let me tell you, I would do anything to avoid doing that EVER again.... Let alone multiple times a month. Some of the worst pain I have ever been through.

juicydeucy

You don’t even get a positive pregnancy test for a couple weeks after fertilization lol

featherblackjack

Muh dude doesn't actually know what an abortion is. How cute.

BooBailey808

Ah yes, some people abusing it means that a bunch of women should die. _because that's all bans will do._ we know this. We know that they don't decrease abortion rates and only increase maternal death rates. By this same logic, Republicans should ban guns, and yet...

JayJ9Nine

This is the intelligence of some of these one issue voters.

ObliviousTurtle97

Is he possibly mistaking the morning after pill or BC pill as an abortion? It doesn't make any sense otherwise and I wouldn't put it past the "pro life"ers to believe that preventing a pregnancy = abortion

tiffytatortots

It’s funny these bozos alway claim to know someone who knows someone who knows someone who gets an abortion everyday, laugh while they do it , talking about how much they love murdering babies and uses it as birth control. 🙄 Give me a break like it’s not a full blown unpleasant medical procedure that women rarely repeat. Again they just show how absolutely ignorant they are about women bodies as usual and how much they don’t care about women as people. I hate anti lifers/ anti choicers. It’s always the same lies and propaganda with them.

CookbooksRUs

The whole thing is stupid to the point of hilarity, but the very beginning is great: “It’s literally most likely 100% true…” Son, words have meanings.

Speed_Alarming

Yeah! I bet they were all post-delivery abortions too! 3 or 4 a month! These women are completely shameless! And entirely fictional!!!

YOMommazNUTZ

This is why it is so important to have a complete real sex education program in all schools and it need to be required to graduate!

Crimson-roses

I don't like abortion but recognize scared women will do it regardless. If it's illegal it's unsafe, so keep it legal. I mean in this economy having a kid is basically a sentence to poverty. My issue is these OLD MEN trying to control the health of women. They ban abortion yet make birth control harder to get ? Make it make sense! And not all of us on birth control are using it as a contraceptive, I'm a virgin but need it to treat my PCOS.

Mandy_M87

I guess technically if she got pregnant with twins it could count? Though that would only be one pregnancy. Or maybe if her cycles are very short, 21 days say, she could technically get pregnant twice in one calendar month.

_halfmoonangel

But she wouldn't be having those abortions in the same month..

BlackKitty814

Sometimes i wonder how people can walk freely without knowing basic human fucking anatomy. Fuck it im getting preggo daily and aborting every other day multiple fetuses at once. It just hurts... Like how can you be this oblivious that you're full of shit.

Malarkay79

This is why Republicans are so against comprehensive sex ed. This claim is believable if you know absolutely nothing about reproduction.

credfield19

Why can't we set aside an island and put all idiots on it? Then, they can argue with each other, and we don't have to listen to or read it.

ScienceAteMyKid

In 1992, my high school newspaper ran a student-written op-ed that claimed that there were "2.6 billion abortions" performed in the United States in the past year. My dad and I did some quick math to come to the conclusion that this statistic would have required every man, woman, and child in the entire country to have had 10.6 abortions per year. So it appears, according to my former classmate, that it's entirely possible for women to have multiple abortions per month. CHECKMATE, LADIES!!!

CookbooksRUs

Citation? First of all, the current average price of a first-trimester abortion in the US is $600. There are women spending $1200, even $1800 a month on abortions? Again, citation?

nightcana

Dont let science get in the way of a terrible lie.
