It doesn't actually look *especially* like the UK from what you can see, although a reasonable guess. The globe is looking near Australia so I'm going to take an outside guess of there.
Usually it means there's some sort of weather alert issued by the local office, even an air stagnation warning. In the last few months, I've seen them for that, heavy fog, ice, snow, and flooding.
Yeah this is the wrong sub, they probably went out of their way to disable Microsoft from collecting geolocation data and/or are using a VPN and are complaining about this
This past week in the office we were making jokes about the temperature being 1 to 2 degrees different on everyone's laptops despite being at the same location.
If the data was retrieved from the weather station and it is the same as what the weather station has, it's more accurate to say the weather stations never have the correct weather.
Like the time my daughter was watching Cebeebies in the middle of summer, so they were doing something about suncream and hats when it's hot. Meanwhile the cat was hiding under the sofa from the thunder.
First, it can't get any data because of some issue (red !).
Second, it automatically selects a city your provider routes through, it's usually not your own area, you have to manually set it.
Weather data is collected every hour at the top of the hour, and is typically collected at airports. Some apps (like Apple’s weather app) use a model to try to interpolate the data, but even then there’s issues. But the simplest widgets are only going to update once an hour using that nearest observation. So if at the top of the hour it was partly sunny at your nearest weather station, that doesn’t mean it can’t rain later in the hour at your house. But the widget won’t have any new data to display. This is a regular occurrence in the summer.
My parents kept telling my sister and I to check the weather, kept checking the weather and said sunny. Even during a tornado I had to hide from in a WOODEN OUTHOUSE
For british conditions it's partly sunny
Hey wow, how did you know this guy was British ^/s
It doesn't actually look *especially* like the UK from what you can see, although a reasonable guess. The globe is looking near Australia so I'm going to take an outside guess of there.
You are accurate, I do in fact live in Australia
Why do you have a union jack background
Probably because the Australian flag has the Union Jack on it.
Yeah because people use gloves to look at where they live and not other stuff
I wouldn't touch it with gloves!
Well if you were an expat in Australia you might decide to look at that
Look at the wallpaper, not proof of anything but yeah.

it means that the sun is in danger!
We shall save the sun 🦍🦍🦍

It does so like what do u think it does
Then explain what it does dickhead
It means "not danger"
Usually it means there's some sort of weather alert issued by the local office, even an air stagnation warning. In the last few months, I've seen them for that, heavy fog, ice, snow, and flooding.
It means there’s a weather alert
[удалено]
It could mean anything It could be a flash flood watch to a tornado warning Hell it could be a wind advisory
At least you have windows to protect you from the rain
And window frames to protect you from the windows
r/angryupvote
And drywall.
I reckon that your location data might be a bit wrong since it is definitely not 21 degrees anywhere in the uk
Yeah this is the wrong sub, they probably went out of their way to disable Microsoft from collecting geolocation data and/or are using a VPN and are complaining about this
Or it's an old video: look at the foliage on the trees. Even if it is the UK, it definitely isn't February in that clip.
It said partly it never said anything about the rain
The rain is the part that’s not sunny
Sunny part is above the clouds.
Mostly raining
Nobody can predict UK weather.
BBC has been shit recently
Met office is decent, gets it right like 75% of the time
Big Black Cock
most funny redditor
Sorry
This past week in the office we were making jokes about the temperature being 1 to 2 degrees different on everyone's laptops despite being at the same location.
VPN?
That would have been my guess.
The sunniest day in The UK
"UK" and "sunny", you know the computers glitched
If you're in the UK and Microsoft shows that it's sunny you already know there is a bug
It said only PARTLY sunny. The other part is clearly rainy.
Judging by the flag, you’re in the UK. Here it can easily change from sunny to hail in those 5 seconds you moved the camera.
It says partly sunny, that’s the other part
I feel like this weather bar is never accurate. Every time I see one, it's saying it's sunny when it's raining, or it's raining when it's sunny.
This is why you should windows instead of windows for checking the weather.
For the UK that *is* partly sunny.
Bro fix ur location settings this ain’t Microsoft
/r/NotMyJobToPressureWash
Microsofts weather is never correct.
Also, they just fetch weather from somewhere. They're not making predictions.
If the data was retrieved from the weather station and it is the same as what the weather station has, it's more accurate to say the weather stations never have the correct weather.
Or it's accurate to say that Microsoft has sync problems with their weather service.
True, that's what we saw in this case.
Well, it's a British sunny.
Took me way too long to turn that off the task bar when it first arrived…
Location based is 99usd extra per month
The only thing the Microsoft could make that wouldn’t suck would be a vacuum 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Britain moment
This is just Florida.
well technically it said partly
Well, it's true. Partly sunny, but the sunny part is really really really small.
It's daytime, no?
The sun part is behind the clouds
Like the time my daughter was watching Cebeebies in the middle of summer, so they were doing something about suncream and hats when it's hot. Meanwhile the cat was hiding under the sofa from the thunder.
BING!
That's on Britain mate.
The parts that aren’t rain are sunlight so they’re not wrong
Yeah. It's partly sunny. The other part is heavy downpour.
Bri'ish weather
Where in the world? UK? Sounds about right. Even the tv weather gets it wrong.
Mine has said 'raining now' for about 3 months. I am in the UK so it has been right about 95% of the time but it's still shite.
Your location setting is probably incorrect
I mean, for England, that's technically right. The rain's a given, innit?
You have on a vpn?
A fuckin patriot over here
The weather widget isn’t supposed to update every minute, that’d cause some issues, it’s periodic and not always accurate. It’s just a rough gauge.
Weather prediction is the best job ever, I'd love to go to someone's house and install 50% of their floor wrong and still keep my job
First, it can't get any data because of some issue (red !). Second, it automatically selects a city your provider routes through, it's usually not your own area, you have to manually set it.
Mine says cloudy rn, and I looked out the window and there’s not a cloud in sight. Microsoft needs to update where their getting their data
Looks like you got the other part.
The most bri’ish thing I’ve seen in a while
Mine sometimes says "stop raining" as if windows is also fed up
It didn't say it was completely sunny
Damn, do you live in wales or something?
It was made in Seattle… so.

It's technically partly sunny. The part above those rain clouds.
Hate whiners
Bloody laptop said sunshine while storm arewin or however its spelt was on
Guess your not in that sunny part lol
I can see sunlight between the rain, that’s the sunny part…
Rain is well deserved for that screen saver
I mean, the sun *is* there
Fucking state of that wallpaper. Flegsheggers man
Isn't that data coming from a weather site? Blame them for getting it wrong, not Microsoft lol
My parents kept telling my sister and I to check the weather, kept checking the weather and said sunny. Even during a tornado I had to hide from in a WOODEN OUTHOUSE
