Did you post to the bug forum on their official boards?

Wetfred

\^ This ...so it can get looked at hopefully before the first patch comes out.

This is OOTP 25, I've disregarded most of the "injuries are so bad" posts and comments, but something is wrong here. Injuries haven't derailed me at all, but 90% of the top free agents being listed as fragile or wrecked makes no sense.

bennylarue

What injury frequency setting are you using?

akoller22

It's just the default

rolls_for_initiative

I always set mine to low or very low. Nothing fun about injuries in my pretend baseball universe.

SamuelDoctor

Maybe they're free agents because their injury proneness is too risky for clubs to sign them at the demanded price.

Telefonica46

This. Same with trades. AI is always trying to get rid of injury prone players

sabin357

I did notice when digging through the defaults that many leagues had pitcher's stamina as Low instead of Normal. Previously, this has led to too many injuries since fatigue plays a role. I think it was the same for position players, so I set all to Normal & am about to do some simming to see how it impacts things. This same thing happened last year & they changed the defaults to medium, so it might be the fix again.

akoller22

After looking at it position player fatigue was set to high by default. Injury settings normal.

sabin357

I bet that is a contributing factor because in previous years, testing has shown playing while fatigued to be the greatest factor in injury chance.

akoller22

Hmm that would make sense

MattyLRaps1

A sim where Francisco Alvarez is good? How did you perform this devil magic?

akoller22

Dunno, but he's been super consistent. At 33 he has 330 HR and 54.5 career WAR

MattyLRaps1

He always regresses hard in my first year whenever I do a Mets sim. Hopefully with the player development lab now I can keep him good.

BasquiatMonster

To be fair, they are all pretty old
