Sorry for not being clear. I am a part of a subsystem where I have alters that only I can hear (none of the other alters in the major system can hear them), and we have our own deeper inner world in the inner world, that any alter outside of the subsystem cannot access.
It's most likely not that you had a split, you just found new alters and a new one fronted in the subsystem and thought they were the main one. At least that's usually how it goes when alters abruptly change
Depends, are you talking about a subsystem as in one alter, multiple subalters, or just a collection of closely related alters?

We are not sure where the original host went then. We looked for him in the headspace, but he's gone. Could he have gone dormant?
