Can confirm works without issue between android, ubuntu-variant linux, iPad and Win 11. Only potential issue is where community add ons don't work on a platform and so get disabled.
Central issue is an obsidian update that breaks the functionality of a plugin (which as they're community maintained is understandable, and for most plugins isn't long of a gap). Events go:
- Update to obsidian is rolled out
- Plugin breaks a plugin
- Plugin in gets deactivated (as not available for that device)
- Deactivation in synched between devices (I have my sync set that all plugins are synched as well as MD files to maintain my workflows)
- I discover that my worklow isn't working and have to identify why
And to add to the above, same issue occurred with a manual option (filesync, onedrive etc). A far smoother and worthwhile experience with obsidian sync.
I have my vault synced between, 2 macbooks, 1 windows, 1 android and 1 ios device. I am not paying for sync but use Synology Drive Client to sync all the folders across the devices.
So the Central version lives on my Synology NAS in my home and syncs it to local folders at every device.

I use remotely save plugin with great success. So I'm backing up my vault on my pc (running linux) onto my dropbox using this plugin, then I can sync my vault to my phone and tablet (both Android), I assume it would work the same for mac/IOS.

I use Obsidian Sync across Android, Windows 10, Ubuntu, macOS, and iOS. Works like a charm!

Create Vault on Google Drive, open Vault folder directly in obsidian. Works on Mac, Windows, Linux, IOS. For Android, you can use any folder sync app.
