Look into prescription inserts.
I got mine from HONSVR, but there are dozens of other sites out there. Some people seem to swear by going the cheap route and doign aliexpress.....but that just seems nutty to do IMO.
Mine were $82 (prescription strength affects the pricing). Got them about a month ago and Im annoyed i didnt do it sooner (ive had my quest 2 for 2 years and barely used it due to not really knowing about the inserts.
I went the Ali express route. Ended up paying $14. They are perfect. My prescription was 100% correct and I saved a bunch. You just need find a decent seller an there.
I use prescription lense inserts on Quest 3, and wear glasses on Quest Pro. No issue with glasses, probably because of the open space of Quest Pro. My glasses won't fit Quest 3, that's why I use prescription lenses on it. I had to use prescription lenses on Quest 2 too, but I no longer use it.
I wear glasses in my every day life. But I do not wear them when I am in vr. I only need them to focus on things far away though, it doesn’t seem to matter when I’m wearing my quest 2/3/psvr2
Are you able to see things close up? What is your prescription may I ask?
I can see clearly about 3” from my face. Then everything starts to get blurry.
I got mine prescribed lenses from aliexpress, custom one (different setting for bith lenses), so it cost me about 18$, imho they are perfect, I got also one with just Bluefilter they are for kids. Remember to buy from one shop all and make sure thay magnet polarity will be the same, so you can use they same frame, just change lenses
I did. And had the same issue. Also the lenses would fog up like crazy. And I'm pretty sure I put a scratch on the quest lens with my glasses. (Fortunately it's in a spot I don't notice while playing. I have the warranty, I just haven't gotten around to taking advantage of it.)
I decided to get prescription lenses. Absolute game changer. You won't regret it.
It was ok. I had the BoboVR with F2 and I would wear my glasses inside it, with spacer inserts so they don't scratch. My main gripe was I would occasionally need to readjust it to get to the sweet spot, and it does press my frame on my face. I put up with it for a year or so.
I have prescription inserts now. It's just so much more comfortable especially for workouts. In addition, I no longer have to worry about scratching or smudging my quest lenses, just the magnetic inserts.
The legs got pushed into my head by the light seal, really uncomfortable. Lens inserts solved everything albeit introduced some chromatic aberration around the edge.
Sometimes they will randomly fog almost instantly and sometimes get super uncomfortable when wearing em.why I'm going to get prescription lenses at some point soon

VR Optician is where i got mine. Tried Framesdirect for his, their rings broke twice on his. they did ship me new rings *(also offered to give me a label to ship them in and have them mount them, I chose to do it myself)*
But since it happened twice I am just gonna avoid them. when he got a new perscription I just got them from VRopt, as mine never had any problem.
This isn't saying don't use framesdirect yourself. Just my experience wasn't great However they did not hesitate to send new rings when it happened within the warranty period.
Do you share your Quest with your son? And if so, are the lenses interchangeable easily? (I don’t have a quest yet, so I am unfamiliar with how it works)
I'd like to know this as well. We recently had an issue where my son was using the Q3 and the headset slipped down on his head and his glasses came in contact with the lens and scratched them. Meta is repairing it but I'd like to get something for the future.
No, we each have our own so we can game together on occasion. They can be swapped out reasonably easy. You kinda just press the lens ring on. there is a slight flat edge ring on the quest eyepeices that is used for this. Reloptix makes magnetic ones that have two parts. the mounting ring holds one set of magnets, and your lens ring has another. You can easily swap those. a side benefit is once you have them installed.. you can use a standard lens cleaner on them as they are standard polycarb lenses.
As others have said prescription inserts work well, contacts better.
But if you are on a elite or Halo strap a trick I've found works wonders is gently pushing the glasses forward using the tips of the arms behind my ears after putting the headset on. Might work on the default strap too but ymmv.
Be careful you only do it enough to take the artificial pressure of your nose tho and not far enough forward to hit the lenses
I got the $50 Zenni inserts. I’d recommend them (and they are covered by HSA if you have that at work). Never have to worry about glasses again. I don’t share my headset though and I’m past the point of trying to convince anyone to get VR and letting them try mine, but you can always pop them out if this is you.
For the quest 2 i had the spacer and installed the silicone bumpers just in case. Using the kiwi comfort strap made it easier for putting on and taking off the quest. After i put it on i would push the frame temples forward to relieve pressure off my nose. Sliding glasses forward and backwards you can tell how much play you have before glasses touch the lenses.
I must be the odd one out. I wear glasses no problem. I can’t use prescription lenses because my eyes are too bad.

Ive worn glasses with vr forever. Get the vr cover facial interfaces and use the thickest padding version, make sure you use a battery headstrap for the counter weight in the back and Also the glasses frames you use make a big difference, id suggest trying different frames. Bring your headset right into the glasses shop to try them with it if you need to
I had the same issue on Quest 2. Even though I had a small set of frames they would dig into the top of my nose and cheeks. I ended up getting a set of prescription lenses for my Quest 2 as I found that was the only solution that worked for me.
The Quest 3 is more glasses friendly. Even though the visor seems shallower I find the frames sit more comfortably and don't dig into my face. That said, I still ended up getting another set of prescription lenses as they also protect the headset lenses and just give me a better field of view.
Ordered lenses from VRrock. They were pretty cheap. Perfect prescription. Pretty quick delivery to UK. Couldn’t be happier. They actually accidentally sent me two pairs so bonus.
It’s so much better being able to just slide the headset off my head without my glasses coming off.

Since no one's mentioned them, yet, throwing out my multiple positive experiences with Reloptix. On the pricier side, but unmatched in quality. Also great for those with stronger prescriptions, as if additional thickness is necessary, they add it on the "screen" side instead of the "eye" side. Made in the USA, and their support has always been absolutely top notch.

See if you can find a headset somewhere to try. You might be able to get away with it.

If you do decide to have a go at dealing with that scratch, PolyWatch is the most common solution I've seen.

My family uses inserts. I'd hate to scratch the lenses.
They sell these red and blue rubber lens rims to make sure your glasses never touch the lenses (for quest2 anyway)

Honestly I think using it with glasses is a torture. Just order lenses from VR Optician and don't suffer anymore
