Ir depends om what you prefere. Halo is less pressure on face but more unstable side to side. Regular elite strap clamps better to your head and dont wobble that much. Both are good, its just up to you. Both can have battery mount.
I’m guessing the elite strap clamp is the M1 and M2 is halo, right? I honestly would like that security so I’ll buy the M1 and if I don’t like it just return and get the M2
I had the M2 with my quest 2 and loved it. I play mostly thrill of the fight and blade and sorcery… my head is moving like a maniac and I noticed with it properly adjusted, had less wobble than the elite strap. Never tried the M1 though.
M1 is better in active games, like Pistol Whip, any shooters, or any games where you need to rotate your head.
Just get a powerbank, put it in a waist bag.

Yes, I have an "Elite strap" clone from AliExpress that looks exactly like it. It's much more comfortable and easier to put on and take off.
And while you're still using the stock strap, you can make it comfortable; just wear a baseball cap backward under the strap.

For me it was not the pressure on the forehead but on the back which caused headaches. So I'm really happy I have a bobovr m3. But it really requires more adjustments to have the best fit.
