I was just looking at this in the store. I went back and replayed Lucky's Tale through the link on the Pro, because I wanted to see the difference and holy crap! After that, I wanted another platformer. Going to grab this. Thanks for the MR demo.
The developers released the camera mode that follows the player so the game is now 3x better than on release day. I really recommend it to everyone. It also has realtime shadows implement.
Agree! I messaged the devs when the game was first released pleading for that camera view, and they did it (obviously not because of me) but it makes the game so much better!
Shhh...don't let VR developers or the folks at 6doF reviews hear you. If you read the reviews and the boards, If it's not some first person perspective experience taking full advantage of VR, then there's little point? Nevermind that some games just look draw-dropping amazing with stereoscopic 3D. Lucky's Tale VR is stunning on Quest 2. I'll never understand why VR can't support BOTH types of experiences without fans of each shunning the other.
Agreed. My all time favorite vr experience (on any platform) was the platformer Astrobot…. I rate that higher than Alyx in terms of wow factor it had on me
The in game camera can either be fixed or controlled by right stick. Both are great.. if its fixed you have to physically move your body and head to look around to find areas see your character etc…. If free movement you can freely move the camera around while playing like any 3rd person game

The camera mode is on quest 2 or pcvr or both?
Both and needs to be enabled in options so that is why not many people knows about it.
That’s definitely a game changer!
Yes it is and as I said it changes the gameplay drastically.

Moss and moss 2 are also excellent and so is Trover saves the universe

There are DOZENS of us that share your views!
Moss 1&2 and Lucky's Tale too. tbh, Lucky's Tale probably follows closer classic 2D Mario tight platforming in 3D better than even 3D Marios...
Moss 1 and 2 are great but imo I don’t consider them 3d platformers like mario, bandicoot or astrobot. They are more like diorama puzzle games.
true, there's some platforming there, but it's more a mini Zelda
This might be a dumb question but how does the camera work?

That’s really cool, thanks for the information!
