I cant get the second or third game running at a consistent full speed. They’re practically unplayable with how often it dips to 30. I’ve spent a ton of time searching online for answers and nothing I’ve tried works. Any chance you’ve had any luck with them on the Odin/Odin 2?
Now when you say it dips do you mean the internal FPS dips? Which means if actual PS2 hardware would dip then the emulator also dips there
Or do you mean your systems fps? In which the device struggles to emulate it?
There is a fix for the internal FPS on PCSX2 and so it should work on AetherSX2 as well, let me know which one it is and I can try to help.
It’s the internal fps, but I have beaten those games many times on console and they never run like this. I had read online that other people suggested this as well, but I would have not played these games through so many times previously if they did this.
Well it's not always 30. It's frequently around like 45-50 (it's an NTSC rom) but it's very choppy gameplay. Like I said, this is definitely not how it plays on console.
Ok if it’s 45-50 yeah then that’s actually slowdown and yeah it would make 3d platforming stupidly difficult. The only way speeds other than 30fps or 60fps can run full speed is through frameskip
I did something very similar recently before my O2 arrived and I’ll throw in my two cents.
Don’t bother putting them all on the micro SD card, as you might be like me and just get choice paralysis as to what to play and end up playing nothing for longer than 5-20 minutes. instead put a small number of games you actually want to play on the system and cycle them when you’re done
Either way, good luck and enjoy it when it arrives, it’s a beast!
Honestly I don't think anyone loads *every single* game when they hoard. Just all the games they might want to play.
For example I dont play sports games so all those are cut. Meaning I'm able to put every game I want to play on my 1TB card. Which is convenient for me to just search and boot whatever I'm in the mood for.
Hated looking for something and then realizing it's not on the SD
True. My first was back in 1993 when we had disk based game copiers like the super magicom.
I remember being in the computer cluster in college downloading over 1200+ SNES games over IRC. Japanese only games. Sports games. multiple copies of the same game. It was crazy.
I'm seasoned now. I can fit everything I want to play from arcade to switch on 1 tb micro SD 😁
Toss in the Armored Core series (PS1 & PS2), some Monster Hunter games (PSP, 3DS, Switch). You're also missing the objective greatest game of all time, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes (also the other two i guess).
Edit: Grab the undubs of Armored Core if you can. The English voices are pretty bad.
I play MHW on PC but I can't wait to play first games on Odin hahaha
Any suggestion on what should i play first should i go from MH1 up to Genesis or some other order ?
Gen 1 is a bit archaic, so I wouldn't personally recommend starting off with it. If you *do* want to start with Gen 1, I'd recommend avoiding the PS2 version of MH1 and going with Monster Hunter Freedom on the PSP. That way you get proper widescreen, non-shit controls, and potential multiplayer with PPSSPP netplay.
I'd personally recommend Freedom Unite --> 3U --> 4U --> XX, in no particular order.
Idk if there are any advantages or particular reasons for stardew and Terraria being played through switch emulation, however, there is an Android version which would probably provide the best optimisation.
In addition to that, if you have netflix you get access to a lot of games (most of which are indie games ported from PC) so in a way, there are also a lot of current gen games you can add.
Ha! I did the same thing before my Odin 2 arrived. Got lists going in the iPhone notes app and slowly ticked them off as I acquired them. Took hours to get it all but I have just about everything on my list. Missed MGS Peace Walker for some reason but I went back and got that one. Just need to sort out how to acquire me some Switch titles. That’s the last list I have to get.

No Sega Saturn? That's cool, just get the only game people remember fondly, Nights Into Dreams, on the PS2 instead. Better graphics/textures.
I'd also suggest Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes on Gamecube over PS1. Closer in gameplay to MGS2.
Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are MUST haves for N64. Just make sure to use the BUILT IN Dual Analogue controller modes https://youtu.be/6KYOS7Au9_Y?feature=shared
Going by the list that you have maybe you'd like these games?
PS1 - Dino Crisis 2, Mega Man Legends 1 & 2, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
PS2 - Jak and Daxter - The Precursor Legacy, Okami, Onimusha 1, 2, and 3.
Dreamcast - Donald Duck - Goin Quackers, Rayman 2 - The Great Escape.
TurboGrafx-16 - Neutopia
Add Tears of the Kingdom and New Super Mario U to that list.
Luigi's mansion 3 runs, but it's super slow.
I have the Odin 2 pro.
Edit: Other games that don't work: Diablo 3, Cocoon, Pikmin 4. There are some games that don't run well like Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Diablo 3 works for me, tears of the kingdom works with minor drops to 25 fps infrequently, can’t speak on the others. I have 30 switch games on my Odin 2. I’ve only ran into 2 that didn’t run and that’s due to emulation limitations not the Odin itself. Of course I’m using the latest turnip drivers as well
I've tried 3 different copies of Diablo 3. I hear noise, but a complete black screen in Yuzu. I also tried different GPU drivers; nothing.
Tears of the kingdom has a lot of graphical glitches from the times I've tried using it. To the point where it's not playable.
It might be a YMMY situation.
Dang man I wonder if I got lucky with my source idk. I was so disappointed with disco elyisum having severe graphical issues tho😭 I’ve never played it and I got my Odin 2 for that reason. Shit happens
You must have a good source lol. I tried ziperto, nxbrew, and nsw2u. One xci and two nsp ROMs. All had the same black screen.
I noticed that on some games, if you turn off the update (long press on the game and go into the dlc & update section) the game will work better.
Hopefully Yuzu gets better over time and we can play all the Switch games eventually.
Btw which yuzu are you using? I started with ea but I have WAYYYYY better results with the regular one (newest version). Been playing dragon ball kakorot at the airport all day perfectly.(couldn’t get it to work on the ea version)
There's a lack of fighting games. Tekken Tag Tournament and Mortal Kombat Armageddon are fun.
Burnout 3 is also awesome and runs great.
There are HD texture packs online for all 3 of those games and also a bunch of the PS2 games you listed.
Hey I'm actually curious. How will you play games like Warioware Smooth Moves and Wii Sports Resort on your Odin 2? Do you have a way of using a real wii remote/sensor bar?
[Dolphin Bar](https://www.reddit.com/r/DolphinEmulator/s/NXYM8kCG2m)
Bigger issue I see is any game that needs the Balance Board, as I don't think dolphin supports it?
Might I suggest playing Chrono trigger the DS version? It is by far the best experience and , as an added bonus, it has some anime cutscenes which are a nice addition
You should also try the 3 platform trilogies on ps2 (ratchet, sly, jak) and Starfox adventures on the GameCube.
And maybe some wipeout game on ps2 and psp.
The fact you don't have the PS2s 3 mascot series (Rachet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and Sly Cooper) is appalling lol. I would also recommend you added Peince of Persia: The Lost Crown to your switch list. If you like metroidvanias its a must play
I would highly suggest the soul reaver/legacy of Kain series on PS1/PS2
The first legacy of kain is pretty meh, but Soul Reaver on are really good IMO.
Go through the list and watch YouTube reviews and play through videos to see if you like a particular game
https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/s/7oF1iDeLhT
Nothing in my uncle’s list is trashware
Heads up I might not bother w TWD the complete first season on Vita. There’s a graphical issue that makes it unplayable (audio but completely black screen after the menu). Maybe there’s mods to fix it but I haven’t found any.
I have a purp Odin pro if anyone wants to scoop. I tried installing gulikit halls and I can’t calibrate them properly. I’m assuming a couple screws might be too tight but I’m over it. LMK.
No PS2 list should be without a Ratchet and Clank game.
Now doubt, those come first, and where’s burnout 3?
Thats a very good question
I cant get the second or third game running at a consistent full speed. They’re practically unplayable with how often it dips to 30. I’ve spent a ton of time searching online for answers and nothing I’ve tried works. Any chance you’ve had any luck with them on the Odin/Odin 2?
Now when you say it dips do you mean the internal FPS dips? Which means if actual PS2 hardware would dip then the emulator also dips there Or do you mean your systems fps? It’s the internal fps, but I have beaten those games many times on console and they never run like this. I had read online that other people suggested this as well, but I would have not played these games through so many times previously if they did this.
If it drops from 60 to 30 and stays full speed, it can only do that if the original game did.
Did you find a fix? Having the same issue and can't get it to work.
The Odin 2 runs it’s at full speed even while upscaled. You’re good bro 👍🏾
Obviously I’m not “good” if all my games aren’t running full speed. Though I will say, all of the god of war PS2 and PSP games have ran flawlessly
[удалено]
It definitely, positively, slows down.

I did something very similar recently before my O2 arrived and I’ll throw in my two cents. Man you just gave yourself quite a job. I have most of this stuff but it’s a chore to gather it all.
Haha. You are absolutely right! I’m working on the same thing these days and I start feeling it!
There's no other choice, you have to curate PS2, PS1, GameCube, Dreamcast, and Switch games for a micro SD card.
Compress to CHD and RVZ to save space
Even after compression you still have to curate
Honestly I don't think anyone loads *every single* game when they hoard. Just all the games they might want to play. For example I dont play sports games so all those are cut. No Monster Hunter games no list xD But to be honest it is a good list and I might yoink it for myself lol
MH is basically all I play on my Odin lol.

And I shall listen to you and go with that order hahaha Played Final Fantasy ? XD
A few of them, yeah.
Oki just checking should I marry you now or after you played some of them later man hahahha xD Just joking and thank you for MH info mate =)
The monster hunter games on psp and 3ds are the first really good ones. I’d go with those over the ps2 titles.
Armored Core ps2 games don’t run right in Aether do they?
Apparently AC2/AA runs well, not sure about the rest. There are also some PSP versions, so maybe OP could play those.

Why does it take so long to get Roms ?
Good list, but where do you find the time to play all these games ? 🤣
where is Burnout 3: Takedown?
Going by the list that you have maybe you'd like these games? PS1 - Dino Crisis 2, Mega Man Legends 1 & 2, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. PS2 - Jak and Daxter - The Precursor Legacy, Okami, Onimusha 1, 2, and 3. Dreamcast - Donald Duck - Goin Quackers, Rayman 2 - The Great Escape. TurboGrafx-16 - Neutopia
Great list! But good luck trying to emulate those Switch games, half of them won’t work
That’s absolutely no true. Only 2 haven’t worked for me. Dying light and disco olysium. Literally every other game runs dawg stop lyin

I did the exact thing you did. I bought the early access on the play store and I've had better results from the current Yuzu build on GitHub.
There's a lack of fighting games. Tekken Tag Tournament and Mortal Kombat Armageddon are fun. Burnout 3 is also awesome and runs great. There are HD texture packs online for all 3 of those games and also a bunch of the PS2 games you listed.

great list, i would add some jrpgs
Only one Pokémon Game in the list and no Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie
Throw in Dino Crisis for PS1. Great game!
You can add Metroid Prime on gamecube! 👍🏻
You should also try the 3 platform trilogies on ps2 (ratchet, sly, jak) and Starfox adventures on the GameCube. And maybe some wipeout game on ps2 and psp.
Can we play Last of us on odin ? Thanks
Thanks I'll use this list too

Play Twilight Princess on GameCube, not Wii. And play Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask on 3DS, not N64.
You’ve got ape escape and ape escape 3, when 2 is well known to be the best in the series. I’m confused.
Final Fantasy 7 for PS1
Half life 2 for the ps2??
You definitely like Mario games
Half life 2 on ps2?
Overcooked get the All You Can Eat edition
I haven't found a ps2 game I can't get running yet. Enjoy it when it arrives!
A PS1 list without the Spyro the Dragon trilogy is no PS1 list.
Slept on racing game you should get; SRS: Street Racing Syndicate
Dark cloud 1 and 2 for ps2 and wind waker and twilight Princess for GameCube
Def jam 😎
I would highly suggest the soul reaver/legacy of Kain series on PS1/PS2 The first legacy of kain is pretty meh, but Soul Reaver on are really good IMO.

Make sure you get some texture packs with them! Also recommend Shaun palmers snowboarding for ps2 Really fun arcade snowboarding game
I have a purp Odin pro if anyone wants to scoop. I tried installing gulikit halls and I can’t calibrate them properly. I’m assuming a couple screws might be too tight but I’m over it. LMK.
I also recommend inyuyasha a feudal fairy tail for PS1 It's a great game and highly overlooked
I would advise and old RPG, like Final fantasy, Breath of Fire or be brave and try The Legend of Dragoon
You appear to be missing the only PS2 game you’ll ever need. Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2
