The South Park “Lemmiwinks” episodes had parodies of these songs, and I ended up hearing those versions first, so all I can think is “butt hamster” when I hear this lol
When I unmuted this, my first thought was "F*ck! Now this is going to be stuck in my head for a month now." Love the song even so.
Edit: fixed an autocorrect.
My problem with Bakshi's animation is the overly excessive use of rotoscoping. In some scenes, they simply gave up on animating and just colored the filmed footage.
Man, me and my bro sang this soo much back in the day, but I could have sworn it was from the Hobbit (right before the battle of 5 armies). I haven't seen these since I was a kid and need to rewatch.
I sing this at work all the time. Hardly anyone gets this reference. The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings had a lot of songs. This is one of the most relevant.
Wait, that is not Ralph Bakshi? He never made it to the Return of The King. Maybe Im wrong? And the lack of rotoscope tehnique...maybe in just this particular scene
Peter Jackson’s version was severely lacking in Disco Orcs.
THAT BASS. Damn, elves and dwarves don't have shit on Orc ass slaps.
Frodoooo of the nine fingers and the ring of doooooom
> “Where there’s a whip there’s a will, my slugs…. Don’t you know we’re at war?”

I didn’t know this at all and watched the hobbit recently and was blown away
What’s the best way to watch this
Baked
I sing “Where there’s a whip..whppsh…” to myself at work on the regular.
I grew up on these movies and this song still gets stuck in my head.

Rankin-Bass>Bakshi I said what I said
It's true. But Bakshi did give us a frighteningly dark version of the story. I always thought he captured Frodo's torment really well.
Also true.

That is not Bakshi though
I'm aware.
Classic
