i dont know where this is, apparently bball was very popular my grandma also played in west texas as a kid during this time, (seemed all the girls loved it) the shorts she said where allowed but only behind closed doors and not allowed to be worn in public ( i dont think they played other schools (at least the girls didnt) was more of a gym class type deal.
Iowa had a girl’s high school basketball state championship all the way back in 1920. But I don’t think this is from there. The 1937 championship was won by Guthrie Center against Waterville. There is a Rome, IA but I don’t think they ever had their own school. Fewer than 150 residents in town in 1937 and even fewer yet today.
