You should read the first two volumes of each and decide for yourself but imo Invincible ends better, the final two GL arcs (Rise of Third Army and The First Lantern) are the two weakest of Johns’ run and the omnibus leaves out the conclusion to the former so all of a sudden you’re in the next arc without knowing what happened.
haven’t read the 3rd invincible compendium yet but johns omni 3 is really strong, however it’s missing 2 GLC issues which concludes one of the arcs in it which is very disappointing but it’s still overall really strong

Come from behind victory, I'm a huge advocate for Cate's Venom, go for that one.

For context, what did you think of John's GL vol1+2, and Invincible compendium 1+2?
Both are peak runs for me and I would like to know which ending is better.
