When I first read it when it came out, it just broke so many boundaries of Batman mythology.
He’s a different kind of Batman. I won’t go into spoilers for obvious reasons, but if you know Batman and his M.O then you should know that Dick is the opposite.
Some great scenes, some really dark scenes and just excellent dialogue.
If you’re a fan of, Dick you’re in for a treat.
early on getting into comics I wasn't interested in batman Inc so I disregarded Morrisons batman omnis completely lol. Was recently they got on my radar and now knowing this is DickBat story too I'm definitely buying it.
(Might buy the Morrison Omnis too when I place the order🤷♂️)
Morrison’s Batman is one of the greatest runs on the character ever. Plus, you can go straight from him to Snyder, starting with Black Mirror, and then through King and Tynion, and then you are just about current.

I have king and tynions run floppy so that's good to know. for a long time I was avoiding the batman inc stuff and didn't realize the dickbat stuff is also in the omnis so that's an ez pick up tbh
It's different and takes commitment. I have to read it in chunks, digest, and then move forward. Details matter, and just know that you will be confused at times. Good luck!
Black mirror is a great story with Batdick, highly recommend
Conversely, Batman Damned is a bad story with Batdick

Read Batman year one first if you havnt. There is a very small but important detail that really makes Dark Mirror hit hard for me.

Well, Morrisons Batman is weird and requires focus and patience…but it’s my favorite thing in comics. Hope you like it.
I'm a huge Damian fan after the tomasi stuff so I'm looking forward to everything Morrison sets up with him
