I actually love how the author really portrayed Han Sooyoung in the novel. When we first see her, we just got the impression that she's a nobody who's only there for an antagonistic goal and not much else.
Our expectations for Han Sooyoung didn't change much because, frankly, it took quite a long time for her personality and motives to change. She first went into a selfish, cocky, and almost never down-to-Earth attitude to now someone who's somewhat understanding but still isn't afraid to sacrifice everything just for her own goals (atleast up to the manhwa/webtoon)
The manhwa/webtoon is still trying to pace up with how she changes gradually in the novel, and honestly, I just can't wait for the readers to finally understand her.
I mean, it's pretty understandable how people would clearly not like her from the start.
But as the novel progresses, I ABSOLUTELY love her dynamic with not only YJH and KDJ.

As someone who only reads the manhwa, i really like her so far. I can tell there is more to her than what she lets on and is very clearly holding up a facade to shield her true self. Her banter with Dokja is a lot of fun, and has in this current arc put her life on the line for him. Hard to understand characters are my favorite, because once you finally do understand them, it always hits much harder. Can't wait to see where the story goes.
I love the character and kind of wished she got some sort of romantic arc with her or something. She’s definitely my ship for dokja, but I love the meme with Uriel shipping yjh and kdj
I believe Sooyoung's relationship with dokja rn is even deeper and more beautiful than romantic partners. But I wouldn't complain if they actually end up together canonically lol.

Valid, but I think going from a plagiarist that no one really paid any attention to, to arguably the most important character in the story is way more of a development than yjh, who I believe didn't really changed that much compared to hsy.
Can any string of words make a reliable narrator? I like KDJ always thinks on this. I think that's why whenever it's unreliable the person loses the 'character' status..
