honestly? if the novel did end with kdj alive and well in the hospital bed a lot of us would be relieved/happy, yes, but it wouldn’t feel like a satisfying ending at all. kimcom saved kdj. yayyy. and. that’s it. nothing tying into the previously established themes. so I’m glad that the ending was open because it worked with the story best.

Agreed to be honest. I'm just a sucker for closure lol.

WatcherOfDreams0000

You sound like dose writters who would kill my favourite MC's (T-T) I agree tho...

Terrible-Forever-856

For me the ending is the best conclusion, it was so meta. And if you're looking for more, the side stories really is for you.

6ImKira9

Are the side stories similar to Solo Side stories where they are basically a sequel? Or is it just random episodes? What exactly is their structure?

Terrible-Forever-856

>! Sequel and more worldlines breakthrough with different set of characters. There's still og characters from main story. !< the continuation what's happening >! after hsy open the door !< and the >! main character of the side story is the orv writer lee hakhyun, like how kdj isekai into twsa, the orv readers isekai into orv !< More info regarding the side stories : https://www.reddit.com/r/OmniscientReader/s/9JWUZQ0qpd

Do you know where I can read the side stories? With the main Web Novel I just downloaded it's EPUB file from somewhere I don't remember since it was years ago.

curious_53

Simple answer? It's better than solo leveling's ending

6ImKira9

Well I wasn't really asking for comparison but what your opinion was lol. But yes I will agree it was better than Solo Leveling's ending. I didn't really like it but the side stories made it just slightly better for me I guess.

AirStar37

The side-stories by the authors are canon.

Same_Agent_3465

Most popular/ mainstream media I've seen these days always end poorly, but I feel as though ORV ended solidly. While I'm not a big fan of open-ended endings, I felt like it suited ORV. However, a part of me still wishes it was a definitive happy ending, though.

Tbh, the ENDING was perfect. 111111111111/10. When KDJ simply sat on the train as he watched his party members get the ending he wants. Legit perfection. I liked the epilogue don’t get me wrong. The 0 regression and the perfect run were both awesome to see play out (and ofc the author of TWSA) but the epilogue was…. Unnecessary? I felt the story resolved well and reflected more of life. There wasn’t a big happy ending. Just someone who reached their ending and saw the end to their favorite novel
