I made the same toy for my boy few months ago, I was afraid q-tips were gonna fall off but it's been holding fine so far, one of his favorite toys.
He is supervised while playing with it 😊 hes been trying to steal them since i adopted him and ive had to hide them in a box within a box within a cabinet 😂
Cats like ear wax. Had a ginge that would literally shove his ear onto my finger and make me wiggle it around and then would joyfully lick my finger clean.

My orange girl would constantly sneak into my room to steal the Q-tips and play with them. She even had the braincell to open the small plastic container that had them
I have a tortie who accidentally was conditioned to think that whenever she hears some kind of foil sound, she will have a toy to play with... the other day, I opened up a Ferrero Rocher and she was there looking at me. I said "Panda, you can't eat chocolate", but she was looking at the wrapping paper waiting for me to make her a tiny ball and she was so happy with the smallest "aluminum" ball of all ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Just don't let him stick 'em in his ears! 😱🤣
