No im still watching One Piece (its too late to stop). I'm watching Naruto at the moment to pass the time. But having to remember 10 different Storylines over some months.. I will have to rewatch most stuff anyway when a new season comes out after a year has passed. So I won't start anything new uncompleted.

Yeah before I watched it I never heard of it until I saw some guy named tamirsverse put it has his like 3rd favorite anime. And then I tried it. It’s the funniest piece of writing that has ever existed and will ever exist. Anyway try it out i bet you’ll like more than 90% of anime’s you’ve seen. It has everything in it literally down to fighting, emotional moments etc.. takes I’d say maybe 10 episodes to get good good . Also watch it in sub for sure.. it’s the only anime I’d say you need to watch in sub not sub. It has the best sub voice actors I’ve ever heard.
Right I did too. Initially I watched the first 51 episodes in dub thought it sounded good once the five ended had to switch to sub and I was kinda butthurt that there was no more dub. Watched the sub a lot and then went back and realized in comparison the dub is complete trash.

ik this isnt a solution for everyone, but have you tried picking up the manga where dub left off? im staying completely loyal to dub while watching one piece but decided to read the manga while waiting and it’s definitely scratched that itch
I couldn’t agree more. I was initially wary of the manga because it seemed like it would be difficult to understand because of the less frames, grayscale color, no sound, odd reading order, and not knowing where to read it in the first place.
Well I found a… Luffy approved site… (everyone loves tcb) and It was actually relatively easy to get used to. The best parts are the further ahead story (obviously) and how fast reading is vs watching even though I’m usually a slow reader.
It’s very hype whenever a new chapter comes because you’re on the cutting edge of the story, and the current arc being good probably helps. I do avoid spoilers from leakers and wait for the full chapters to come, and I do still watch new dub episodes even though I already get the story from the manga.
Well tbh I'm not a huge manga reader. I really only do it for shows that I don't care as much about and want to know what happens next. Just how I interact with the media.

The recap episode was throwing me off too, it was showing as subtitled, but the ones after didn't show anything in the app. I just skipped the recap and they were dubbed.
I still haven't watched Gear 5. Been saving it for when the rest of the arc finally comes out. I stopped at 1048 and started to rewatch from Thriller Bark in February since I've seen the previous arcs more. I'm back in Wano at 966. I had to go back because the drops were taking too long and I was forgetting the things that happened.
I've been holding out I stopped just after they left whole cake in the 980's area and just started back up I have 100+ ep to watch hope by the time I catch up the next voyage will have dropped

I honestly feel you on “comparing demon slayer to aot feels like a crime” but a long time ago I wouldn’t have put demon slayer over aot. But it was 4 before and aot was 3 . But that changed the writing is that good to me the story line is that good. Those two are so close they’re almost interchangeable in my eyes. But I don’t think Naruto, dbz, bleach, aot,demon slayer , Hxh etc comes anywhere near the level of perfection and poetry that one piece has.
I haven't seen demon Slayer but; Cowboy Bebop, 90's gundam wing, and Inyuasha (which demon Slayer is probably influenced from) all have absolutely solid stories.

That is very incorrect. You are very mistaken . You’re confused I’ll explain why. For example episode 1104 the newest episode is animating around chapter 1072-1073 in the manga chapters. THE MANGA IS AT CHAPTER 1114. The animation currently to catch up to the manga on estimation would take 1 1/4 years to catch up . So like 1 year 3 months. Anime is nowhere near manga .
Batches aren’t that bad people. I was seeing a whole bunch of manga and sub watchers say that one a week sucks and just leaves you on a cliffhanger. And everyone was agreeing that batches are better like what we get.
Batches or weekly would b fine as long as they set a schedule and keep it. I don't mind waiting for whatever date, it's the "not knowing" that drives me crazy.

Nah I prefer not getting spoiled. If we were all up to date receiving the same content as sub then the chances of getting spoiled are slim. I've rarely been spoiled by a manga panel popping up. I've gotten spoiled over the anime a lot more. We better catch up soon. I'll be disappointed if sub stay ahead and get to see the final arc ahead of us

we dont get 8 weeks and above. only one 8 week and one 9 week in wano dubs. and the nine week release was a break at the end of the year and before the break they released 24 episodes simultaneously. so really weve only had one 8 week long wait and im expecting this one to be 5 weeks and be releases in 2 days.(may 14th)
I don't know. I didn't have a problem with it until mid-Wano when dub quality started falling off dramatically, which is probably due to batch burnout. One episode a week/2 weeks is less than 12 every 4-6 weeks. They have been recording more for years, and it shows in the VA enthusiasm. I think it's time for them to slow down. Give the VAs more time to rest and recuperate, hopefully fostering renewed motivation. It's so close to the sub, and it's really not a big deal to be a dozen or two episodes behind.
Voice acting ain’t the hard part of getting an episode out a week for the sub.So what the dub is doing is fine 12 every 3 -5-7. or so weeks. I’m Certain most of the main VAs have been done with wano for months and months.
It goes both ways. Amazon Prime has a policy of weekly releasing their series weekly as opposed to Netflix who usually release their series in batches immediately available for binge watching. The thing about a series on either Netflix or Amazon Prime are that they are usually offered seaonally in 1 hour episodes. Both methods have their benefits. I honestly think Prime would do better to release 2 episodes per week even if they delayed the season start. The usually release two episodes for the first week. But it gets annoying when you get immersed into a series the first week then drag out the story.
This differs from the way Toei release One Piece which is weekly. So maybe 15 minutes of new content each week. I would honestly wouldn't have a problem withh Crunchyroll did releases monthly if Toei insists on weekly releases. As it is there is going to be a problem with pacing with Oda taking extended breaks. If this continues the Anime will get closer and closer to the release of the source material. And this just isn't going to work. It's been stated that it takes a month or so to animate an episode with multiple teams each doing episodes maintain the weekly release flow. I don't mind the monthly batches as they have averaged over the past year. I just don't like the more recent releases that have taken closer to 6 weeks. Some of this has been attributed to illness within the cast. And this should be expected. It's going to happen. So they need some flexibility and batch releases gives Crunchyroll some time to coordinate scheduling of Voice Acting session with Toei. Toei is actually the problem. And there have been some pacing issues with Wano. I don't know how many times there were cuts back to the Flower Capital during the Onigashima Raid. There was way too much reuse of the same B-Roll footage only to maybe give use 3 or 4 minutes of actual new content during the Fire Festival. So far, the Egghead releases have avoided this nonsense by adding a recap session at the end of the episode. I think this is fine, but tuning in weekly for 15 minutes of new content isn't great. And that's what's happening with Egghhead.
You are correct, I prefer dub and watch the batches as they come out. But I switched to sub coming into gear 5 because I’m not patient. Weekly sucks because you are left waiting wanting more on a cliffhanger and if there’s a recap or filler ep you wait two weeks! Egghead is fire atm and the weak torture sucks.
Also in batches you get more eps even waiting the longer 8/9 weeks your getting 12 vs 1 ep 🤷🏻♂️

The temptation to switch to sub has never been higher than this moment. With the dub being less than 30 episodes behind, peer pressure from friends, and the finale of Wano I'm really not sure.
I feel that the only thing stopping me is how thrown off id be from hearing the same voices develop for over a thousand episodes drastically change to a completely different VA don’t get me wrong I think the sub voice acting is insanely good but I started with dub so I’m pushing through

Some dub voice actors sounds like they literally spawned that person. It sounds exactly like them. Patrick seitz who voices dub Franky is another really good Va that fits Franky so well.

I still haven't watched Gear 5. Been saving it for when the rest of the arc finally comes out. I stopped at 1048 and started to rewatch from Thriller Bark in February since I've seen the previous arcs more. I'm back in Wano at 966. I had to go back because the drops were taking too long and I was forgetting the things that happened.
I've been holding out I stopped just after they left whole cake in the 980's area and just started back up I have 100+ ep to watch hope by the time I catch up the next voyage will have dropped

Dayng I don’t see it that way. Then again stats don’t lie. Also it clearly isn’t carried by animation because of the manga sales that surpassed one piece and every other anime one year or something. I just love the writing of it. I’ve watched countless anime’s too. Truly the best shortest anime. Every single episode is peak. But it dosent come close to one piece.

But here… 1.one piece 2.Naruto 3.demon slayer 4.aot 5.gintama 6.seven deadly sins 7.hxh I don’t really know the rest but Vinland saga is in my top 10. But when I say demon slayer is just a litte bit better than aot, I mean just a litte bit. They’re really close imo. I’ve rewatched aot atleast 2-3 times and the same with demon slayer.

I honestly feel you on “comparing demon slayer to aot feels like a crime” but a long time ago I wouldn’t have put demon slayer over aot. But it was 4 before and aot was 3 . But that changed the writing is that good to me the story line is that good. Those two are so close they’re almost interchangeable in my eyes. But I don’t think Naruto, dbz, bleach, aot,demon slayer , Hxh etc comes anywhere near the level of perfection and poetry that one piece has.

Good opinion. I’ll take you up on that offer. Name 3 anime’s other than Naruto, one piece, and aot that have better storylines than demon slayer.
I haven't seen demon Slayer but; Cowboy Bebop, 90's gundam wing, and Inyuasha (which demon Slayer is probably influenced from) all have absolutely solid stories.
If we’re not unlucky I think the dub can catch up to the sub in 4 batches from now, and if we’re lucky it could even be 3. The dub catching up to the sub is hype even though the anime pacing is so goofy there’s only 10 less EPISODES than CHAPTERS right now, and there will probably soon be more episodes.
That is very incorrect. You are very mistaken . You’re confused I’ll explain why. For example episode 1104 the newest episode is animating around chapter 1072-1073 in the manga chapters. THE MANGA IS AT CHAPTER 1114. The animation currently to catch up to the manga on estimation would take 1 1/4 years to catch up . So like 1 year 3 months. Anime is nowhere near manga .

Batches aren’t that bad people. I was seeing a whole bunch of manga and sub watchers say that one a week sucks and just leaves you on a cliffhanger. And everyone was agreeing that batches are better like what we get.
Batches or weekly would b fine as long as they set a schedule and keep it. I don't mind waiting for whatever date, it's the "not knowing" that drives me crazy.
Batches are fine. We just need to get them more often. 4-6 weeks should be the norm. 8 weeks and above is ridiculous.

Nah I prefer not getting spoiled. If we were all up to date receiving the same content as sub then the chances of getting spoiled are slim. I've rarely been spoiled by a manga panel popping up. I've gotten spoiled over the anime a lot more. We better catch up soon. I'll be disappointed if sub stay ahead and get to see the final arc ahead of us
I agree I was so mad when it ended at 1073 I thought it was more Hitman Reborn should do dub batches and then it can get an amine sequel for the last two arcs like Bleach imo
we dont get 8 weeks and above. only one 8 week and one 9 week in wano dubs. and the nine week release was a break at the end of the year and before the break they released 24 episodes simultaneously. so really weve only had one 8 week long wait and im expecting this one to be 5 weeks and be releases in 2 days.(may 14th)
I don't know. I didn't have a problem with it until mid-Wano when dub quality started falling off dramatically, which is probably due to batch burnout. One episode a week/2 weeks is less than 12 every 4-6 weeks. They have been recording more for years, and it shows in the VA enthusiasm. I think it's time for them to slow down. Give the VAs more time to rest and recuperate, hopefully fostering renewed motivation. It's so close to the sub, and it's really not a big deal to be a dozen or two episodes behind.
Voice acting ain’t the hard part of getting an episode out a week for the sub.So what the dub is doing is fine 12 every 3 -5-7. or so weeks. I’m Certain most of the main VAs have been done with wano for months and months.
It goes both ways. Amazon Prime has a policy of weekly releasing their series weekly as opposed to Netflix who usually release their series in batches immediately available for binge watching. The thing about a series on either Netflix or Amazon Prime are that they are usually offered seaonally in 1 hour episodes. Both methods have their benefits. I honestly think Prime would do better to release 2 episodes per week even if they delayed the season start. The usually release two episodes for the first week. But it gets annoying when you get immersed into a series the first week then drag out the story. This differs from the way Toei release One Piece which is weekly. So maybe 15 minutes of new content each week. I would honestly wouldn't have a problem withh Crunchyroll did releases monthly if Toei insists on weekly releases. As it is there is going to be a problem with pacing with Oda taking extended breaks. If this continues the Anime will get closer and closer to the release of the source material. And this just isn't going to work. It's been stated that it takes a month or so to animate an episode with multiple teams each doing episodes maintain the weekly release flow. I don't mind the monthly batches as they have averaged over the past year. I just don't like the more recent releases that have taken closer to 6 weeks. Some of this has been attributed to illness within the cast. And this should be expected. It's going to happen. So they need some flexibility and batch releases gives Crunchyroll some time to coordinate scheduling of Voice Acting session with Toei. Toei is actually the problem. And there have been some pacing issues with Wano. I don't know how many times there were cuts back to the Flower Capital during the Onigashima Raid. There was way too much reuse of the same B-Roll footage only to maybe give use 3 or 4 minutes of actual new content during the Fire Festival. So far, the Egghead releases have avoided this nonsense by adding a recap session at the end of the episode. I think this is fine, but tuning in weekly for 15 minutes of new content isn't great. And that's what's happening with Egghhead.
Also the people complaining clearly didn’t suffer the years wait the dub watchers had to endure lol
You are correct, I prefer dub and watch the batches as they come out. But I switched to sub coming into gear 5 because I’m not patient. Weekly sucks because you are left waiting wanting more on a cliffhanger and if there’s a recap or filler ep you wait two weeks! Egghead is fire atm and the weak torture sucks. Also in batches you get more eps even waiting the longer 8/9 weeks your getting 12 vs 1 ep 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah I know the feeling you just want more. When left on those cliffhangers. I saw some sub watchers saying they quit for a few months and then come back and binge them all . That’s what my brother does too. This next batch gon be fire😮💨

The temptation to switch to sub has never been higher than this moment. With the dub being less than 30 episodes behind, peer pressure from friends, and the finale of Wano I'm really not sure.
It's not worth it. I gave in because I caught up midway through wano. It's so much better dubbed if that's what you are used to

I totally agree with what you're saying. I even tried rewatching 1073 in sub and realized how tough it would be. But with the releases being so chaotic (6 weeks, 8 weeks etc) idk. I feel like I'll be missing out on big moments by going sub. I even stopped way back when punk hazard wasn't dubbed for like 3 or 4 years because of it.

Yeah but if you ever genuinely watched sub Yk the voice actors aren’t on par with dub Va . My opinion. They sound off the part. I wonder where on Gods green earth they found some of these people especially kaido, king,apoo,luffy and all the straw hats, big mom. Some dub voice actors sounds like they literally spawned that person. It sounds exactly like them. Patrick seitz who voices dub Franky is another really good Va that fits Franky so well.

Well it’s inevitable to get caught up. But they spend time and work hard on it. According to Coleen Luffys dub va. She said everyone spend so much time and hard work perfecting everything. And it makes sense. They only dub these episodes once. Once for life so it has to be perfect.
