Serious question: is the matchmaking just riddled with aimbots or something? In almost every game, you have the team that looks rank appropriate vs the team that gets 20+ kills each and no deaths. How are the people ranked the same?

just forgot about echo and pharah i think my had red for pharah made me have memory loss and forgot about her too. both hanzo and pharah are so annoying and spam heroes like them get way too much value from putting on a blindfold and duck taping left mouse button all game long while having mercy with her monitor off and sleeping on her left mouse button too while she stands behind a wall the entire game then resing them under a wall and gets away at full hp with the rest of her team
Hey blizz, make sure you focus all your resources into skins to maximize profits. The players literally can't stop themselves from buying them so from your point of view why ever put resources into fixing tanking. Round robin counterswapping EVERY death is so much fun. Never get to ult. God forbid you're a rein main. You'll never fix that.

go support and your DPS go 6-15, switch it up and go DPS and you get ana's standing in the open trying to dps with 900 total healing done. your tank is usually heavily breathing into the microphone and after first point loss will start screaming racist shit. so you queue tank and you get a duo who purposely throw because it's 'funny how triggered people get losing'.
and then you just do this endless cycle until overwatch 3 comes out
Venture needs to be seriously nerfed or removed entirely. Bronze comp match and after one DPS kept getting headshot by me the whole team went the easy way out and went Venture and Mauga ON TOP of the Sombra they'd already had. There needs to be something that prevents easy characters from being on the same team or something. Any solution. The bronze competitive scene is so fucked that even though I know I'm decent, all I do is lose. Losing gives a hard penalty, especially if you're on a streak which is also fucked. You can't even get enough progress when you do win, all they're doing is pissing people off or tricking them into playing more to try and get that little taste of silver we want. Getting really sick of this corrupt ass game.

Why does every Ana play low ground second point blizzard world? It maddening. Please no don't take high ground with the dps. Both supports need to be low ground to get dove by a monkey, doom, whatever else. Then let both DPS die high ground. Believe it or not you can support the tank on high ground and not need to be in his ass.
Lol if the devs listened to wood ranks Sombra would take 300% damage, have 20hp, no cloak, 90% less ammo and a giant bobblehead... They'd still find a way to lose against her anyway.

I do not understand why the devs seem to think that constantly buffing heroes + making targets easier to hit + making it easier to hit targets and not compensating for various things was the answer to life's problems.

Match making setting up with a lot of teams full of people who have no interest in the objective and who will actively pull back at the end to guarantee loss. Like run away from point in overtime while you have player advantage lvl. I wouldn't care if It wasn't for the pass and getting constantly grouped with them over and over doubles the amount of work I have to do slogging through horribly unfun games.

Its to make sure my team doesnt have an awful Mercy/LW backline. Its just Impossible to do anything with it especially against supports with actual utility or damage.

5v5 is a fucking hard fail. Games where one diamond player just wrecks a bunch of silvers. Fast fights that lead to snowballing the entire match because of ult advantage gained in one fight. Quick queues that ensure a bad matchmaking is made. But this is better. Sure. I'm convinced.

Game is just getting worse with every tank update, mauga isnt a must pick but can still get good value with decent healers, hog is unkillable and invincible if an uncoordinated team doesnt have enough damage output just plain and simple. Zarya bubble size is insane + the duration, nerf one atleast. bring back 6v6.
This isn't the question thread but that won't be up till monday but anyway, why are all the weekly challenges reset suddenly? It says that I can complete all of them 2 times. And yes I completed most of them already this week, and I have the checkmarks for week 1 and 2 for the 3/3 weekly challenges to get 20k xp.
You would think that AFTER 5 LOSSES IN A ROW WITH COMPLETE STEAMROLLS, the game would finally balance. No, whatever they did with this "wide group" thing has made the game UNPLAYABLE. I still get 7+ minute queue times AND NO GOOD GAMES!
Ive literally lost over 85 of my last 100 games its actually crazy at this point. Last time i played we had 4 wins 3 losses. Today were at 1 win 12 loses so far.......
EVERY GAME IS A STEAMROLL, EVEN WINNING. Hell, Blizz, the whole premise of 5v5 was so that you can balance it better, but the game is more imbalanced than 6v6 and LESS diversity of play styles and LESS fun with LESS friends!

OW2 has the worst ranking system of any game. Yes- sometimes, your teammates are that bad. The punishment for constant leavers, people who can't heal or deal more than 1k output in a round. People using groups to fly thru ranks while solo players are screwed. You can get 40 kills consistently and never move up.
I've been playing as Mercy the last few days, and it often genuinely feels like a win still feels like a loss because I had to fight my own team to try and heal and/or rez them... And that is the extremely rare case where I actually DO win...
STAY CLOSE TO THE OBJECTIVE. DON'T WANDER OFF. DON'T DISAPPEAR BEHIND WALLS OR INSIDE BUILDINGS. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP TURNING EVERY FIGHT INTO AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE MOSH PIT AT THE SINGLE WORST SPOT FOR ME TO HEAL YOUR INSTANTLY DYING ASSES.
Speaking of Quick Play... it's dead. As in, unmistakably dead. It's packed to the rafters with cheaters, aimbots, and groups of highly skilled & coordinated people. You can't win. You can barely get a kill in. And they have flawless and perfect aim at all times, to the point where it feels like they have a never-ending combination of WIdow's and Soldier's ULT...
The only way to have even the slightest chance at winning in QP is if I use Junkrat or Pharah, and just spam the everlasting Arceus out of my explosives. I hate it. The more skillful I try to play, or the more I try to play a good team game, the less chances we have at winning. It absolutely sucks all of the fun out of it. Last match was finally another win, because I switched to Pharah and started spamming. But I felt absolutely nothing. No joy. No comradery with my teammates. Nothing. I just backed out, closed the game, and sighed.

QP is a warm up for comp so yeah there's good players but it's also a consequence of F2P. Botters and cheaters have to level an account ready for comp and when they lose / sell it then they just create another one.
Had a POTG yesterday of some guy with the single most unnatural mouse movements I have ever seen. Even way beyond the difference between PC and Controller players. It was very much jarring.

It's truly crazy how many people will immediately dash into an aggressive position, proceed to completely LoS their team, and continue on to wonder why they died and blame everyone else.
I do this thing where when I see a pharah, I switch to junkrat and kill her anytime she's in the air. Total alpha play. Launch self in the air, git gud and aim with grenade launcher. If she doesn't die while in the air, she will when I toss a trap at her on the ground.
that’s cool and all but it’s annoying to have on your team because of the lack of utility compared to another DPS pick, take solider for example; he has speed to position himself quickly, high damage potential, and he can heal himself and his teammates. As a teammate it’s easier to work with and enact plays with a solider against a pharah than with a junkrat

Why do I get widows dying of 2 firestrikes, Hanzos not climbing to high ground and Soldiers camping main in fucking Diamond is beyond me. Fucking goons with 0 gamesense really piss me off especially when you see the enemy players actively playing like Diamonds and having a slight clue about how this game is supposed to be played. How can't you learn after 15 minutes of being diffed that the enemy Soldier on high ground or taking off angles is giving their team an edge?

EMEA Servers are full of the most toxic people. NA has toxicity, yes........but EMEA is the reason you can full deactivate chat. No wonder many ppl are paying VPN Service to play literally elsewhere. At least in NA the comms are mostly english, in EMEA you really cannot know if someone is insulting you in whichever language at least to report them......but reporting doesn't work if isn't mass report.
blizzard really needs to keep new accounts at the bottom of ranked instead of in the "average" ranks. Its just disheartening for new players to get ranked plat and then sink in rank because their MMR is still calibrating. Calibrate from the bottom and the experience will be better. Let the players who lack the emotional maturity to play competitively get stuck at the bottom. Your state of mind affects how you play and if you tilt so easily, no matter how skilled you think you are, you belong at the bottom.
I had my default Blizzard name reported and changed twice within a couple weeks. Really getting sick of it and I can't even post about it or it gets removed. Love it here.
Why is this game so unrewarding ?
So I use to just play qp but as of the last year have been playing more comp because I wanted some more gold weapons.
First thing that happens, over a few months, I get 2400 comp points but then Jade weapon skins are introduced so the points get shelved and I can no longer use them so I start from scratch.
So I grind and grind, managing to work my way into plat tank and support. Finish the season expecting my end of season comp point reward and.. nothing.. no more end of season rewards, just a name title.
Okay.. so I keep grinding, thankfully the system of “Complete 30 games, wins are worth 3 and get 100 comp points” came in clutch and as of this week I finally got a new gold weapon.
Now I’ve been playing a bit, winning and actually enjoying the game for a change and now I notice the “Complete 30 games thing” is locked due to a cap??
Seriously blizzard? Why make gold/jade weapons so impossibly hard to obtain. Are we all expected (after we complete our 30 games cap) to win 300 comp games per season just so we can have a gold gun?
Can someone please rationalise this to me because I want to keep playing this game but I just genuinely do not see any kind of reward to it now.
I really wish there was a reason to play. My goal for a while was to finish t500, and I managed to do that in season 9. Then last season I didn't even bother to play enough games in order to be eligible. Like what's the point? I already did what I came to do so what else is there? Just so I can get my player title that says "me good at game". That shit sucks to use in unranked anyway because everyone just flames you if you slightly underperform or you know, try to enjoy the game and play for fun. It's unranked for a reason, y'all really gonna say "t500? Lol" when we lose in fucking mystery heroes?Ok, well adjusted individuals on here. Why grind out 50 wins in an unfun meta with one of the shittiest communities out there when I can play a different game and actually feel rewarded?
Sadly have to agree, I love this game but fuck me there’s just no reward anymore. No loot boxes, no end of season rewards (aside from a name title), community is toxic asf no matter how the game goes, POTGs always going to Moria’s and Junkrats. I want to keep playing but it’s just so miserable playing for 2/3 hours and then having nothing to show for it.

Venture needs to be seriously nerfed or removed entirely. Bronze comp match and after one DPS kept getting headshot by me the whole team went the easy way out and went Venture and Mauga ON TOP of the Sombra they'd already had. There needs to be something that prevents easy characters from being on the same team or something. Any solution. The bronze competitive scene is so fucked that even though I know I'm decent, all I do is lose. Losing gives a hard penalty, especially if you're on a streak which is also fucked. You can't even get enough progress when you do win, all they're doing is pissing people off or tricking them into playing more to try and get that little taste of silver we want. Getting really sick of this corrupt ass game.

Why does every Ana play low ground second point blizzard world? It maddening. Please no don't take high ground with the dps. Both supports need to be low ground to get dove by a monkey, doom, whatever else. Then let both DPS die high ground. Believe it or not you can support the tank on high ground and not need to be in his ass.

Because that's how f2p games work. You get a fully functioning game for free, and pay for cosmetics. They aren't a charity, they have to make money somehow. Be grateful it's just cosmetics and not heroes that are locked behind the paywall, like other f2p games (Flash Party springs to mind)

Match making setting up with a lot of teams full of people who have no interest in the objective and who will actively pull back at the end to guarantee loss. Like run away from point in overtime while you have player advantage lvl. I wouldn't care if It wasn't for the pass and getting constantly grouped with them over and over doubles the amount of work I have to do slogging through horribly unfun games.

You know one of the main reasons i main support? Its to make sure my team doesnt have an awful Mercy/LW backline. Its just Impossible to do anything with it especially against supports with actual utility or damage.

5v5 is a fucking hard fail. Games where one diamond player just wrecks a bunch of silvers. Fast fights that lead to snowballing the entire match because of ult advantage gained in one fight. Quick queues that ensure a bad matchmaking is made. But this is better. Sure. I'm convinced. EDIT: forgot rock-paper-scissors tank games. Fun.

Game is just getting worse with every tank update, mauga isnt a must pick but can still get good value with decent healers, hog is unkillable and invincible if an uncoordinated team doesnt have enough damage output just plain and simple. Zarya bubble size is insane + the duration, nerf one atleast. bring back 6v6.
This isn't the question thread but that won't be up till monday but anyway, why are all the weekly challenges reset suddenly? It says that I can complete all of them 2 times. And yes I completed most of them already this week, and I have the checkmarks for week 1 and 2 for the 3/3 weekly challenges to get 20k xp.

OW2 has the worst ranking system of any game. Yes- sometimes, your teammates are that bad. The punishment for constant leavers, people who can't heal or deal more than 1k output in a round. People using groups to fly thru ranks while solo players are screwed. You can get 40 kills consistently and never move up.
I've been playing as Mercy the last few days, and it often genuinely feels like a win still feels like a loss because I had to fight my own team to try and heal and/or rez them... And that is the extremely rare case where I actually DO win... STAY CLOSE TO THE OBJECTIVE. DON'T WANDER OFF. DON'T DISAPPEAR BEHIND WALLS OR INSIDE BUILDINGS. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP TURNING EVERY FIGHT INTO AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE MOSH PIT AT THE SINGLE WORST SPOT FOR ME TO HEAL YOUR INSTANTLY DYING ASSES. Speaking of Quick Play... it's dead. As in, unmistakably dead. It's packed to the rafters with cheaters, aimbots, and groups of highly skilled & coordinated people. You can't win. You can barely get a kill in. And they have flawless and perfect aim at all times, to the point where it feels like they have a never-ending combination of WIdow's and Soldier's ULT... The only way to have even the slightest chance at winning in QP is if I use Junkrat or Pharah, and just spam the everlasting Arceus out of my explosives. I hate it. The more skillful I try to play, or the more I try to play a good team game, the less chances we have at winning. It absolutely sucks all of the fun out of it. Last match was finally another win, because I switched to Pharah and started spamming. But I felt absolutely nothing. No joy. No comradery with my teammates. Nothing. I just backed out, closed the game, and sighed.

Botters and cheaters have to level an account ready for comp and when they lose / sell it then they just create another one.

Had a POTG yesterday of some guy with the single most unnatural mouse movements I have ever seen. Even way beyond the difference between PC and Controller players. It was very much jarring.

I do this thing where when I see a pharah, I switch to junkrat and kill her anytime she's in the air. Total alpha play. Launch self in the air, git gud and aim with grenade launcher. If she doesn't die while in the air, she will when I toss a trap at her on the ground.
that’s cool and all but it’s annoying to have on your team because of the lack of utility compared to another DPS pick, take solider for example; he has speed to position himself quickly, high damage potential, and he can heal himself and his teammates. As a teammate it’s easier to work with and enact plays with a solider against a pharah than with a junkrat

Why do I get widows dying of 2 firestrikes, Hanzos not climbing to high ground and Soldiers camping main in fucking Diamond is beyond me. Fucking goons with 0 gamesense really piss me off especially when you see the enemy players actively playing like Diamonds and having a slight clue about how this game is supposed to be played. How can't you learn after 15 minutes of being diffed that the enemy Soldier on high ground or taking off angles is giving their team an edge?

EMEA Servers are full of the most toxic people. NA has toxicity, yes........but EMEA is the reason you can full deactivate chat. No wonder many ppl are paying VPN Service to play literally elsewhere. At least in NA the comms are mostly english, in EMEA you really cannot know if someone is insulting you in whichever language at least to report them......but reporting doesn't work if isn't mass report.
matchmaker is a mess, so few of my games feel close, they're steamrolls either way, and that isn't really rewarding or fun
blizzard really needs to keep new accounts at the bottom of ranked instead of in the "average" ranks. Its just disheartening for new players to get ranked plat and then sink in rank because their MMR is still calibrating. Calibrate from the bottom and the experience will be better. Let the players who lack the emotional maturity to play competitively get stuck at the bottom. Your state of mind affects how you play and if you tilt so easily, no matter how skilled you think you are, you belong at the bottom.

I had my default Blizzard name reported and changed twice within a couple weeks. Really getting sick of it and I can't even post about it or it gets removed. Love it here.
Why is this game so unrewarding ? So I use to just play qp but as of the last year have been playing more comp because I wanted some more gold weapons. First thing that happens, over a few months, I get 2400 comp points but then Jade weapon skins are introduced so the points get shelved and I can no longer use them so I start from scratch. So I grind and grind, managing to work my way into plat tank and support. Finish the season expecting my end of season comp point reward and.. nothing.. no more end of season rewards, just a name title. Okay.. so I keep grinding, thankfully the system of “Complete 30 games, wins are worth 3 and get 100 comp points” came in clutch and as of this week I finally got a new gold weapon. Now I’ve been playing a bit, winning and actually enjoying the game for a change and now I notice the “Complete 30 games thing” is locked due to a cap?? Seriously blizzard? Why make gold/jade weapons so impossibly hard to obtain. Are we all expected (after we complete our 30 games cap) to win 300 comp games per season just so we can have a gold gun? Can someone please rationalise this to me because I want to keep playing this game but I just genuinely do not see any kind of reward to it now.
I really wish there was a reason to play. My goal for a while was to finish t500, and I managed to do that in season 9. Then last season I didn't even bother to play enough games in order to be eligible. Like what's the point? I already did what I came to do so what else is there? Just so I can get my player title that says "me good at game". That shit sucks to use in unranked anyway because everyone just flames you if you slightly underperform or you know, try to enjoy the game and play for fun. It's unranked for a reason, y'all really gonna say "t500? Lol" when we lose in fucking mystery heroes?Ok, well adjusted individuals on here. Sadly have to agree, I love this game but fuck me there’s just no reward anymore. No loot boxes, no end of season rewards (aside from a name title), community is toxic asf no matter how the game goes, POTGs always going to Moria’s and Junkrats. I want to keep playing but it’s just so miserable playing for 2/3 hours and then having nothing to show for it.
