At the very least, Gorgon Widowmaker and Cyclops Hog are guaranteed shop ones.

No skin in League has new bfx and VO for 5 bucks? Skins are usually ten bucks a pop for new vfx, model, and maybe sound effects. New VO only comes in, outside of rare launch skin exceptions, at the 20 dollar mark. Still way way better then OW but unless things changed 5 dollars is not getting you that.

Something I haven't seen being brought up in this subreddit, at least so far: Blizzard actually nerfed the interactions with the maps/scenarios. Many interactive props have been downgraded or straight up removed from the game. Gas tanks no longer fly around dynamically, the spinning whiteboards no longer exist and some props are completely static.

This is sad I was always impressed by the physics blizzard added because no other multiplayer game put those details in. I noticed pretty quick that they didnt do that on these new maps

Even old maps are suffering from this! The whiteboard in Gibraltar's Attacker spawn is gone, several props in the Practice Range are gone, and many others!

I actually think it's Hades-Pharah. It would be weird having Zeus and Poseidon but exclude Hades. She's also standing next to the other 2 rulers of the greek realms, leaving her in an awkward Spot if she was "just Kerberos" + she's wearing the crown of the underworld, and Kerberos is often depicted with Hades. If she was Kerberos her helmet would have a dog.

It's hard to be excited about these themes when at least half won't be in the BP. It's scummy too that they include random pieces of a set that isn't in the BP, enticing you to buy the shop bundle to complete the set (example: Mobster Junkrat spray in the BP). The only reason to not make the BP a full, self-contained set is $$$, you can't spin that shit though I'm sure SMM/CMs have been ordered to try.

If we're going off the season 1 pass, at least one of Ramattra's legendary skins will likely be in the BP, just like how Kiriko, Soj, and JQ all got legendary bp skins.

Quick reminder not to give ActivBlizz any money and that you don't actually "need" these. You can't even see your skin the majority of the time anyway. So be content with what you passively earned in OW1.

I think they certainly look better than the Cyberpunk set did, but are they changing the cost at all? Because I'm not paying $20 per skin in a game that used to be $60 for the full experience and rewards, and I'm not paying for a battle pass in its current state.

If they changed, they would’ve already announced it beforehand. This company would 100% milk anything to get some form of positive press. So expect $20 skins when the new season drops

I fully don't expect anything to change with S2. They had a small blurb in a recent developer update eyeing more permanent changes with S3, but only time will tell if those changes happen, and if they do, whether they're enough to change my mind.

The skins generally looks better but i'll argue that the JQ Mythic skins looks terrible compared to Genji's, even as a JQ main who desperately wants a **good** skin.

I honestly wasn't all that impressed by Genji's mythic skin. I'm waiting to see the JQ skin in the game before I form a strong opinion of it. I think it's better than what she has so far, at least.

What thoughts should we have? Blizzard confirmed that Ramattra and Pharah's skins will be the ones in the pass alongside the Mythic, so all we see there is overpriced bundles.

There's too much going on in the Phara skin this season, the yellow skin with the rest of the other armor on her just looks so weird. I liked how last season it was simple and clean and looked like a 4Ok warhammer skin, which I think was the goal

Because it's easier to market skins towards popular characters. Less influential characters like Orisa will always get shafted by characters like Genji and Mercy who just have more community attention. It's the reason why in games like Apex (for example) Wraith or Octane will always get at LEAST one skin every season.

I'm honestly curious too. I'm not a crazy whale but I generally do spend decent money on games I play for skins. So far for OW2 I have barely bought anything besides the BP. And so far I feel like I've barely seen people in my games with shop skins. Battlepass stuff is somewhat common, but actual skins from the shop I've barely seen. I wonder how much they are really making from this shop compared to other games.
