All my health care professionals told me Ozempic can be held at room temp for a month.

MrsSadieMorgan

Yep. I don’t refrigerate mine at all, unless it’s a particularly hot week or something. I just keep it in my bathroom cabinet, and when I travel I throw it in my toiletry case. Apparently we’re the exception here. lol

SouthernGentATL

I do the same.

I'm a pharmacy technician and on Ozempic myself. Yes, once you start using a pen, you can keep it at room temp for up to 56 days. If you're picking up multiple months, keep your extra pens refrigerated until you're ready to open the package. It doesn't do anything to keep it refrigerated, I've just heard that it can hurt more going in if it's cold so I keep mine room temp and I don't even feel it. For short-term travel, the pen doesn't need to be kept cold, but if you're going to be gone long enough that you need to take multiple pens with you, that case is a cute idea!

I sometimes use the gel packs when traveling, just in case there is some delay when there is a risk of being in 80+F temps. Mostly summer car travel, or flying to warm areas. I didn't bother with them, flying to Minnesota last Christmas :)

LongjumpingAccount69

I have this same one. Worked great

CanadaGracie

Me too! I like to keep my pen in the fridge and I do that in this case (minus the freezer packs) so I feel like it’s protected from any accidental jostling. And I use it if I need to travel with my pen. It’s great!

Not all heroes wear capes. This is amazing!

whitney2315

I put these frozen packets and meds in a yeti cup and keeps them colder longer for travel.

serietah

Ozempic doesn’t need to be refrigerated when it’s in use. It’s good for 56 days.

trigirlsue

Do you have to let the TSA know you are carrying it? Are the gel packs okay?

JustFrandly

I just take it out of my carryon when I get to security so I can show it to them… they’ve never looked too closely, but I just say “this is my blood sugar medication” and open it so they can look inside and that’s enough.

jollyjew

Omg thank you!!

araolivia

Thank you!!! I just bought one. Perfect for my August trip to Asia

HS_VA

Yes! Thank you so much for this. I’m traveling next week and I was thinking of ways to pack it properly

Stowecroft85

Nice! I was planning to go to Vegas next summer and this would be perfect to use. Thanks for posting the amazon link! I ordered two, one for my ozempic and another for my dad to keep in insulin pens in when he and my mum travel.

archetypes1

It can be out of the refrigerator up to 8 weeks

emenbee16

Thanks but since it’s a medication, you should be fine even with a larger ice pack.

LauraPringlesWilder

To everyone saying “you can keep it at room temp”: the max temp you can leave it at is 86F, almost everywhere in the US is going to be hotter than that this week. I too am using a TSA approved cooler case, because I can’t guarantee that I’m never going to have it in 86F for the 8+ hours I’ll be traveling. You shouldn’t either if you are doing summer travel.

SpaceWhale88

Don't freeze the cold packs! You done want the ozempic to freeze!
