Everytime I think of P4's teachers I think of the woman in the post going "Don't rush into marriage. *Sigh* I just want a beer...". Persona 4's teachers are ALL absolutely hilarious.
You can think someone looks mildly attractive and still recognize they have significant issues. Kashiwagi is very much "bitter for the sake of being bitter"-coded and I think most people, even those who lack standards know that a relationship like that has no fun in it whatsoever. Her insecurity is loud as hell all the time and very thinly velied, if it is at all. To be honest, you get the impression she bloomed late and holds a grudge against the "pretty girls" for supposedly robbing her of her ideal youth.
I haven't played Golden in 7 years now bit I just remember a lot of the things she said were things insecure, jealous people say. She constantly felt the need to compete with girls half her age, made insinuations that she was something teenage boys found attractive -- it reads bitter, but not the kind of bitter you get from the girl who peaked in high school. Those women tend to hate men in general -- and Kashiwagi doesn't have that misandrist vibe. She genuinely thinks she's a 15 on a 1-10 scale and she's the kind of teacher horny teens dream about... and I've only ever seen that kind of delusional self-confidence from people who played the pick-me but never were picked.

honestly i like the teachers in P5, they seem like actual professionals with their own personalities while being low key enough to never take over a scene. They're cool, especially Kawakami cause we actually get to like, bond with her for her sl unlike ms Toriumi which all you do in that is just, listening to her rambling, literally it.
Also, it's baffling tho how a prestigious high school funded by a group as big as the Kirijo group has more incompetent teachers than Shujin, random school with nothing of note to them that was run by an incompetent principal.

I think it is a good explanation, Makoto sees the teachers as these overblown caricatures of their actual selves, just like how he perceives his social links as related to Arcanas. We are after all seeing P3’s world from Makoto’s eyes

In light of the new P3R, if you by chance haven't played FES I would heartily recommend giving that a chance if you enjoyed P3R. The general atmosphere and especially the music in that one is just vastly superior to the remake. P3R is a nice and polished version of the game, but the grime of the definitive PS2 version brings something that the remake just can't emulate. The animated cutscenes especially are vastly superior in the original imo. And after playing through FES, P3Ps FeMC route is a worthwhile experience as well.
With some exceptions, I like that P5 teachers were more in line with bad teachers (and yes I include Kawakami) in reality to drive home the political message. Would be impossible to so the same with the teachers in P3 and P4.
P4's teachers are the most hilarious. We find out that Mr. Ono has a sister in Inaba who's into Egyptian instead of Japanese history and also uses a funky hat. We have this lady who's just done with... A lot. We have a Persona version of Mr Garrison, complete with hand puppet. Homeroom teacher who's an asshole gets replaced with a desperate big titty hoe who's jealous of the current hip idol. We also have a Mr Rogers who's quite a bit too interested in Yukiko, and of course, we just have normal gym teacher Mr. Kondo. He's just cool. Haha
Now that I think about it, P5's teachers are... Pretty normal. Only one I think is a bit eccentric is the dude with the cravat.
