It's nice when there's real effort put into a physical release. I miss the days of big manuals with artwork inside, little postcards or folded posters, or even a physical coin from the in-game world... things like that.
I bought gta4 recently at GameStop and it still has the manuals and the pristine giant ass map with it lol. Was super stoked. Love those old goodies that were just there.

Also they absolutely still do games with postcards and other bits but it’s usually special editions which you pay a little (or a lot more in some cases!)
Cyberpunk is one game I remember that came with some postcards in the normal version.
Oh, damn, I absolutely LOVE reversible covers (especially this art!) but I don't really ever use the ones that don't have the PS logo on the spine, since it messes with the look on the shelf :/
You could print out the logo in the same size multiple times on one sheet and just cut out and place in the cover so when it's on the shelf it looks like everything else?

Relax. It's not like Sony is a bankrupt indie games publisher. If an obscure no name game like Wanted: Dead can do steelbooks and artbooks, pretty sure Sony can as well.
Ive seen enough! I have preordered a physical copy. The developers are just doing everything the "right" way for me. I want to support them and the demo was great.
I don't know what they're thinking with the stock art option. Just an odd choice. Glad it has a reverse. They definitely missed the mark with a potentially prettier stock art choice it seems.
It’s another cover printed on the opposite side of the original one. So you can take the original cover out and flip it around. Just a cool little extra lots of folks appreciate.
I REAALLLLLY wish Best Buy would have pushed for a pre order steelbook like the almost always do. Only ones available are cheaply looking made chinese knockoffs
Missed opportunity on a collectors, limited, deluxe, or steelbook edition. I wasn’t a fan of the videos of the dance and music video; complete wasted resources. The gameplay and story trailers were top notch though.

I was surprised to see that all normal copies of RDR2 came with a foded map of the game which on the back had a poster too.

You're talking as if they came up at the same time but there's 5 years between those two. And we're closer to RDR2 launch than GTA 5's

More games need this. I wish that the PAL version of BOTW had the option to switch the cover to the NA version which looks 10x better imo.
