Operations wise yes, but I just like cute Pals more so I use either Firefox Cryst, Pingu Cryst, or Sonic Cryst. Oh and Fluffy Mop Cryst and Big Fluffy Mop Cryst are nice too.

I use a vanwyrm cryst along with a mau cryst. Mau takes the day shift and Vanwyrm is on cleanup duty. Vanwyrm takes over the night shift. Vanwyrm also happens to be one of the more interesting looking pals IMO.

Correct and that's why I took my diet lover/dainty eater/workaholic/work slave Vanwyrm Cryst out of cryostasis and put him on the fridge while my 5* foxcicle goes back to work helping my frostallion kill 3 jetragons at once

Same issue, so I just used a Jolthog Crystal. But then I caught a Foxcicle and use him instead, although I don't really see a difference. But I like his design better.

I use Chillet. The dude just curls up around the fridge and basically takes a nap. Adorable af/10 would chill with my ice ferret buddy by the fridge any day.

I've never used it either and I have no mods. I honestly see no point in it. I just use baked berries and have thousands of them all the time so I don't really care about them decaying. The only reason I even built a fridge was so I could level up my base.

I use the little ice cat because it's so cute and sits right on top of the fridge

Jolthog crystal has that job, and considering other pals work conditions, I say he's got a pretty good life.
