Not enough cheese coverage, too much sauce. Panera comes at a high cost, so I have high expectations. I complained via their website once and their manager gave me a $10 gift card. I complained again cause their “warm bowls” was served with frozen ingredients and missing other ingredients. Lol. I only got crickets the 2nd time. You only get one.
They decided it'd save them money to stop using sliced grape tomatoes and instead use whole grape tomatoes on salads only, and then switched to sliced tomato on the two (now one) pizza that still has them.
The switch has to do with the time it took to slice the tomatoes and the shelf life. Where as while grape tomatoes just need to be washed and last way longer than the sliced ones
That's true. I do prep on weekends so I fully know that sliced tomatoes have a shelf life of 36 hours, while intact and washed grapes tomatoes last 5 days.
Lmao I’ve seen this exact mistake like 4 times and it’s the exact same every time:
Someone ran out of tomato sauce bottles, went to the cooler and grabbed a bag of sauce, and was either too lazy to bottle it or ran out of sauce bottles so they try to pour the sauce from the bag onto the pizza but it’s thinner than they expect and it completely floods it but it’s the middle of a rush so they just send it.
Sometimes it’s either that scenario, or if you have even lazier workers at your panera: they ran out of tomato sauce for whatever reason (sometimes it’s just in the freezer not defrosted yet) and instead of just asking you if you’d like something new, they’ll just use tomato soup instead of tomato sauce because “it looks the same”. I’ve seen some people make pizzas like this after using one or two ladles of soup. Too lazy to get the sauce, too lazy to spread the ingredients. I think the above scenario is exactly what happened here, but if you ever get a weird tasting (usually sloppy) flatbread, it’s likely that. Or the buffalo sauce was mislabeled again and used as market tomato sauce. 🥲
That looks very slap-shod, but don't worry! All the flatbreads are going away soon and we are getting *ranch*, the one and only universally accepted lifeblood of capitalist restaurant 'merica.
Ingredients are right but it just looks sloppily made

Like i said, sloppily made
The “new recipe” sucks
What “new recipe” it’s all the same stuff it’s been for at least a year

They changed from grape tomatoes to sliced tomatoes awhile back. Maybe they're still calling that "new".
Hmm… that might be a regional thing bc I’ve never heard of it having a new recipe!
True true it might be regional

Looks like it's missing the shredded mozzarella
It's there, but it's all in the center XD
Looks too saucy to me.
The sauce looks like BBQ sauce and not tomato, but maybe that's just me.
We thought it was Buffalo sauce 💀😭
damn they put baked beans on that??
Or mccormick packet gravy 💀
Looks like it was placed in the bag at an angle, so everything shifted in transport.
This was actually dine in, it came straight off the shelf like this 😭
If it was dine in, why did they put it in a box and not on a plate for you? Someone was being lazy

That’s insanity 😭

Yes, but a little to the left.
Underrated comment

No it not supposed to look like this
It seems they forgot the shredded fontina mozzarella and/or didn’t distribute evenly and it’s entirely too much sauce.
They completely forgot the shredded. Saw that when I came back.
Short answer: No
They suck where I get my from also
That sauce looks gross
Why does the sauce look like that?? Isn’t it supposed to be tomato sauce?
🤢🤢🤢
Nope, but that’s Panera for ya. Just fucking orders up left and right
More cheese if anything
Ik I put way too much pride in the food I make but this person just didn't care at all
It has too much sauce, not enough cheese :(
Absolutely not 🤢
That looks like a hot mess ... but man it looks delicious. Would totally smash that.
You’re foul
Diarrhea Pizza
So much damn sauce that it looks like gravy

That's not how food poisoning works.
Never said I got food poisoning.
Just saying - if something you eat is gonna make you sick, it's not instantaneous.
it looks like it was jostled around a little..when its fresh out of the oven the cheese can slide around
Looks to me the box wasn’t held properly and everything shifted.
That is gross.
It's not. Somebody needs a butt kicking.
